Chapter 2: CH 2: How to comfort a girl 101
Jean froze not expecting the boy in front of her to not even cover his fear., 'why does everyone think I'm a monster,' Jean thought to herself lowering her head in sadness, not knowing that her emotions began to fluctuate as flames started wrapping around her.
"I'm afraid of you because you're too strong," Ragnar said quickly, his voice laced with urgency. He could see the flames spreading, the fire engulfing his vision. He knew he had to act fast, or his second chance at life would be over.
"I envy you for having that kind of strength," Ragnar said looking at Jean Grey not hiding his desire for the phoenix force. 'if I had that power the things I can do,' he thought if he wasn't inside the consciousness, he would have drooled already.
Jean, still brooding, lifted her head, her eyes flickering with emotion as she met Ragnar's gaze.
"You aren't afraid of me?" she asked slowly, sensing the truth in Ragnar's words, feeling the envy emanating from him.
"Afraid," Ragnar nods slightly, before putting his hand on his waist. "That's why I think of a solution, so we can solve our problem." He said, looking serious.
"...That is?" Jean asked tilting her head in confusion, she was confused on the boy's complex emotions, but she didn't know her emotion began to calm down as the fire began to subside.
"So...How about giving it to me?" Ragnar said as he looked at Jean in the eyes, like he was determined to make a sacrifice for the greater good.
"You're afraid, you hate your own powers so how about it, I'm ready." Ragnar closed his eyes, spreading his arms wide waiting for the phoenix force to come towards him.
[.....] Even the chat system didn't know how to react to his host's audacity.
Jean froze as the fire in her eyes died down, she felt the boy's intense expectation.
"But I don't want to," she said softly, watching as disappointment washed over the boy's face.
"Come on why not?" Ragnar asked a sigh escaping his lips, 'looks like my dream to just laze around this world couldn't happen,' he thought sadly, he knew if he had the phoenix force he can walk sideways in marvel.
"Aren't you afraid you'll hurt others if you can't control it, like I have?" Jean asked curiously, approaching Ragnar.
"Nope," Ragnar shook his head, his eyes filled with melancholic sadness. "It's just power, you can learn to control it."
Jean couldn't help but chuckle, a lighthearted sound that broke through the tension. It felt good to find someone who wasn't afraid of her.
"Then can you be my friend?" she asked, her voice hopeful. She had been so lonely, so isolated, yearning for someone who could understand her, someone who was like her.
Ragnar looked at her up and down observing 'looked like she had calmed down,' he breathes a sigh of relief.
Jean Grey noticed he wasn't talking so she hurriedly added,
"I can give it to you, but I don't know how," she muttered as she thought Ragnar didn't agree because she didn't give her powers to him, finding someone who could be by her side, someone who could accept her, was more important than any power.
Ragnar eyes widened, looking at Jean Grey, "really?" he asked excitedly. "Come on," he held out his hand towards Jean Grey.
Jean nodded, her gaze fixed on his outstretched hand. She reached out and grasped his hand, her fingers intertwining with his. A soft whisper escaped her lips.
"But what if I hurt you?" Jean asked, her voice tinged with worry. She was afraid of hurting him, of repeating the mistakes of her past.
Ragnar froze, his excitement momentarily dimming. He looked into Jean's eyes, searching for reassurance.
He saw the genuine concern in her expression, the fear that she might hurt him, the fear of repeating her past mistakes. He knew he couldn't refuse her, not now when she had calmed down.
[.....Let her, the Chat Group System will convert the energy]
Ragnar eyes lit up seeing this but he couldn't help but feel the helplessness of the Chat group system when he was reading it.
Ragnar's eyes lit up as he read the message.
"I'll believe you," he said, nodding, his voice now laced with confidence. He knew that the system would take care of everything, that it would protect him, and that he would be alright.
Jean nodded, a sense of relief washing over her. She closed her eyes, focusing on the energy that pulsed within her. She tried to control it, to direct it, but it felt like a wild, untamed force.
Her eyes flickered with a fiery glow, and a surge of heat rippled through her, spreading outward from her hand and into Ragnar's.
Ragnar felt his consciousness getting destroyed, 'If you're gonna do something how about you do it now!' he shouted in mind towards the chat group system.
[Energy Found Parsing..3..2..1]
[Phoenix Force]
[Do you wish to turn it into a Pure Psion Energy]
[Yes/No]
'if I pick yes, does it mean I can get the phoenix force?' Ragnar asked greedily, thinking the phoenix force was better than just a Psion Energy.
[75% Annihilation, 25% Adaptation]
The system warned him of the risks, but Ragnar couldn't help but be tempted. 'Yeah, not gonna do that,' he thought, shaking his head, deciding not to risk his existence for a chance at a power he wasn't sure he could control.
[Phoenix Force Converting into Psion Energy...3..2..1]
The Phoenix Force, smoothly and effortlessly, began to transfer from Jean to Ragnar, the connection between them weakening. While the conscious space around them began to blur.
Ragnar looked at Jean Grey who got a tired smile but kept trying to do her best. "Hey, your name?" He asked.
"Jean Grey," she smiled, her eyes filled with a sense of peace, a feeling that she had found a connection with, a friend. Cracks began to appear in the conscious space, the barrier between their realities starting to crumble.
"Ragnar," he said, "Ragnar Haddock. See you in the real world, Jean," he said, his voice laced with affection.

Inside the truck, Elliot kicked his door open, his gaze fixed on his wife. "Are you okay?"
Sicilia nodded, her eyes darting around the floating glass fragments. "I'm fine," she said, her voice strained. Then, her eyes widened in alarm. "Ragnar," she asked urgently, turning toward the backseat.
"how's my baby?"
"He's fine. He seems to have awakened his mutant abilities," Elliot replied, his voice laced with relief as he watched the golden psionic energy enveloping their son.
"It's good, it's good," Sicilia whispered, her eyes welling up as she clutched her chest, trying to calm herself.
In the real world, Jean Grey was asleep, just like Ragnar. The golden psionic energy around him faded, but he fought against his exhaustion, mentally asking a question to the Chat Group system.
'"Can I control the energy now?" Ragnar asked the system mentally, his eyes closed.
[You can't. The Chat Group System only helps you convert the energy.]
"Then how about letting it help me?" Ragnar asked cheekily, a mischievous gleam in his eyes as he hatched a plan.
The chat group system remained silent, but the words on the screen began to shift.
[No, the Chat Group System wouldn't help unless it's connected to your mission or safety.]
"That's good then," Ragnar murmured, a smile playing on his lips. "Then use it all to defend Jean Grey's mind," he added, his voice hardening as he resolved to protect Jean Grey from the bald-headed professor.
[Do you want to Transfer All Psionic Energy into Jean Grey?]
[Yes/No]
Ragnar didn't hesitate. 'Yes,' he answered decisively.
This was the plan he'd envisioned when he first realized the Phoenix Force resided within Jean Grey's consciousness. It was the only defense against the bald professor's psychic attacks. And it was all possible thanks to the Chat Group system's unique capabilities.
[Transferring All Psionic Energy to Jean Grey...3...2...1]
Elliot, witnessing the golden psionic energy dissipating around his son, was about to pull him out of the car, assuming he was asleep. But he and Sicilia both froze, their eyes widening in astonishment.
A golden, flame-like psionic energy erupted from their son, radiating an immense energy that surged towards the car that had struck them before vanishing entirely.
The golden flame enveloping Ragnar faded completely, and he drifted off to sleep, exhaustion finally claiming him despite his Asgardian and mutant strength.
Elliot and Sicilia exchanged a worried look. Sicilia closed her eyes, pressing her temples as she concentrated on the wrecked car.
"The power has entered the girl," she whispered, her voice laced with concern, "while one of her parents is dead." She tried to reach out to Jean Grey, but something blocked her.
"She's a powerful psychic for a child," Sicilia muttered, her eyes opening to meet Elliot's gaze. "What do you think?"
Elliot, having stepped out of the car, tapped the roof thoughtfully.
"Let's just go. Someone should be able to sense that kind of powerful energy," he said, shaking his head as he lifted Ragnar from the car.
Sicilia nodded, getting out of the car and walking around to take Ragnar from Elliot. "I'll take this wonderful child, and you take that," she said, smiling as she gestured towards the back of the truck.
Elliot nodded helplessly, walking toward the back of the truck and taking the box of fruits and vegetables, setting it down on the ground. He then opened the Jerry can, pouring the contents over the truck before tossing it back. He reached into his pocket, pulled out a lighter, flicked it on, and tossed it toward the truck.
The flames spread quickly, engulfing the truck. Elliot easily lifted the box of fruits and vegetables from the ground.
"You know we need to buy again, right?" Elliot said jokingly as they walked toward the forest.
"Yeah, after you buy a car," Sicilia replied with a playful smile, following behind. They left the accident scene as if nothing had happened.
Inside the car, Jean Grey, who had fallen asleep, was enveloped in the golden psionic energy before it vanished completely into her mind.
