Martial Emperor of Blue Star, Turned into a Blood Slave Girl by a Vampire Princess

vol. 1 chapter 35 - Like a Dog

A sliver of dim yellow light pierced the darkness. Degrienne instinctively squinted.

When she made out the tall figure at the door, her heart gave an uncontrollable leap—
Someone was here!
The thought had barely surfaced before she pinched herself hard.

Her cheeks flushed hot. Degrienne was startled by her own reaction.
How could she be happy to see that ancient witch? That was even more shameful than being sucked dry!
“Ara, araaa~”

Catherine’s lazy voice echoed through the chamber. “Looking lively, aren’t we?”
She walked in wearing plush slippers, the loose neckline of her nightgown exposing her collarbone. “Lonely already? Come now—let Mommy give you a hug~”
“No one needs your hug!” Degrienne whipped around and plopped down on the floor with a thud.

The next second, the silver chain suddenly went taut—
“Ah!”
She was yanked violently to the ground, her knees slamming into the cold stone with a sharp jolt of pain.

Before she could scramble up, icy hands wrapped around her waist.
The world spun—and she found herself straddling Catherine’s joined thighs, face to face.
“Let go!”

Degrienne struggled, only to hear a soft laugh against her ear. “Your eyes lit up when you saw me just now.”
Catherine’s fingertips brushed against her burning earlobe. “You missed me, didn’t you~?”
“Bullshit!” Degrienne’s voice trembled. “I just… just got excited seeing light, that’s all!”

“Oh?” Catherine’s crimson eyes shimmered with eerie mischief. “You know what you’re really feeling.”
Cold lips pressed against her throbbing carotid.
“It’s only been two hours, and look at you. What will you do later? We vampires… have no shortage of time, you know?”
“Two hours?” Degrienne froze. “You’re lying!”

She’d thought at least a day had passed—
But if it really had only been two hours…
Suddenly, a suffocating fear closed around her.

If even her sense of time had begun to warp—how was she supposed to endure this?
Before the thought could fully form, a sharp pain struck her neck.
Catherine’s fangs sank into her artery. The familiar wave of dizziness surged through her like a flood.

“Mm…”
Her head tilted back on its own. Her fingers clenched Catherine’s nightgown unconsciously.
Pleasure and shame tangled in her veins. Her body, betraying her will, began to respond.

By the time Catherine finally pulled away, sated, Degrienne’s face was flushed scarlet.
“Thanks for the meal,” Catherine licked the corner of her lips, unsatisfied. “You really are the perfect blood bag.”
Degrienne’s vision blurred. The dizziness from blood loss made it hard to even sit upright.

But her mouth refused to yield. “If… if you’ve got the guts, keep me locked up then…”
“I will, don’t worry,” Catherine set her gently on the ground, then crossed her legs with elegance.
Silence descended on the chamber.

One sat panting on the floor. The other smiled faintly from her chair.
Degrienne snuck a glance upward—only to lock eyes with Catherine’s teasing gaze. She quickly turned away.
The standoff dragged on.

Minute by minute passed. A gnawing hunger stirred in Degrienne’s belly.
The weakness from being drained made her stomach twist painfully. Her throat involuntarily swallowed again and again.
The blood pool nearby exuded its sweet metallic scent, but that was Catherine’s “bathwater”—
Even if her body craved blood, her mind wouldn’t let her stoop so low as to crawl over and lick it up like a dog.

Besides…
She tugged at the silver chain. It rattled coldly.
Still too short. It couldn’t reach the edge of the blood pool at all.

“Hungry?”
Catherine’s voice was dripping with perverse amusement.
Degrienne wrinkled her nose in defiance—only to hear a faint rustling.

She looked up, and at some point, Catherine now held a cat teaser stick in her hand. A little bell dangled from the feathered tip.
“Let’s play a game.”
Catherine swayed the stick, the bell jingling sweetly. “Play nice, and I’ll let you bite me~”

Degrienne’s pupils trembled.
Catherine’s blood… that divine taste—just remembering it made her shiver all over.
Her body moved before her thoughts could catch up. A barely audible whimper slipped from her throat.

No!
She dug her nails into her palm.
Being toyed with like a cat was humiliating enough. Worse still was the fact that she was seriously considering the offer.

When had her bottom line sunk this low?
The air suddenly turned cold.
Only then did Degrienne notice that Catherine’s smile had disappeared. Her crimson eyes now glinted with danger.

The cat teaser froze in midair. The bell fell silent.
An invisible pressure pressed down, chilling her spine with sweat.
If she didn’t play along… her punishment would go far beyond mere hunger.

“…Fine! I get it!”
To avoid the penalty, she lunged at the swaying feather.
Left pounce, right leap—bell jingles and panting breaths echoed throughout the sealed chamber.

It was humiliating beyond belief. Yet her body responded with unsettling honesty.
During one high leap, even her tailbone (though she had no tail) gave a thrilled twitch.
Wh-Whatever. She’d already done worse… what difference did playing one more time make?

She tried to comfort herself.
When the cat teaser finally stopped swaying, Degrienne was drenched in fragrant sweat.
She knelt on the ground, panting, her cheeks flushed an unnatural red.

“Good girl~” Catherine extended her wrist. “Lick it clean, and I’ll let you drink.”
“You’re not keeping your—mmph!”
Her protest was cut off mid-sentence.

Catherine grabbed her chin, pried open her jaw with a thumb, and pulled out her pink tongue, forcing it across her pale hand.
“Mm… I’ll do it myself!”
Degrienne finally broke free, then gave in with self-loathing resignation. She cupped the offered hand.

Her soft tongue carefully traced over Catherine’s skin, like a kitten grooming its prey before a meal.
So soft…
She crushed the thought before it could root.

The shame of forced submission burned her ears red. And yet—Catherine’s hand really was unbelievably soft—
“Mmm… little kitten’s getting quite good at this~”
Catherine’s purring voice brushed her eardrums like «N.o.v.e.l.i.g.h.t» a feather. Degrienne froze, humiliated to the point of wanting to bite down.

“What, done already?” Catherine suddenly opened her eyes, gaze sharp. “Keep going.”
Degrienne caught her breath. Her tongue moved again, this time with forceful resentment.
“Good girl~” Catherine narrowed her eyes in delight, basking in the girl’s service.

After a long while—
Just as Degrienne stopped, Catherine rose without warning.
“Wait!”

Degrienne grabbed at her skirt, looking utterly pitiful. “I’m hungry…”
“Endure it.” Catherine brushed off her hand and walked away without so much as a glance.
“But you promised—”

“Promised what?”
Catherine finally turned, her eyes frozen over. “You licked me half-heartedly. You think I didn’t notice?”
She leaned down, lips close to Degrienne’s burning ear. “You brought this on yourself.”

Just before the door shut behind her, Catherine threw one last remark over her shoulder:
“The way you looked just now… really was like a dog.”
Bang.

The door slammed shut.
Degrienne sat there in a daze.
Something warm slid down her cheek. She raised a hand—

Tears? I actually…
A wave of grief surged through her, but it was quickly replaced by doubt.
Was it really… her fault?

Maybe if she had licked more earnestly…
Maybe if she’d obeyed better… maybe if she had pretended to enjoy it a little more…
