Angel stared. "So… he kidnapped you from your own Dad's Company ?"

Angel sipped her coffee.The silence between them thickened. For a moment, Angel forgot the weight she was carrying until Aurora turned back to her, eyes searching.

"You okay?" Aurora asked. "You look… thinner." Which is not a good thing cause you're pregnant. "Wait so you want me to be fat?"

"Blame Italian pasta. It ruined my metabolism," Angel lied quickly.

Angel hesitated. Her husband's voice rang in her head: "She deserves the truth, Angel. Jake didn't just die. There are things you don't know—"

She swallowed. "I needed a break. Italy was beautiful, and also Maxwell had an emergency here in New York so we had to rush back.

"You said that before. But you never told me why." I mean what could be so important than your trip, you guys planned it to celebrate your baby and strengthen your bond as a couple and suddenly you throw all that away because of WORK????

"Because it doesn't matter now." She grabbed Aurora hand. "What matters is, I'm here, and I enjoy being here with you. "Angel" " Oo you're the most beautiful angry person I know." Stop that Angel you're clearly hiding something from me.
