Limitless Evolution: I Have Infinite Potential.

Chapter 68: Chapter 68: Thunderous Sound.

Bai Xiaoxi stood frozen, eyes shimmering with tears as she stared at the snack that had just been snatched from her hands.

Hong Qianye weighed the feed bag casually in his hand, a mocking grin forming on his lips. Catching Bai Xiaoxi's aggrieved expression, he snapped, "Why are you crying? Get over it! And don't you dare tell Master about this, understood?"

His tone, sharp and domineering, made Bai Xiaoxi flinch. She nodded weakly, "Okay…"

"Then what are you still standing here for? Scram already," Hong Qianye said impatiently.

Just looking at this little rodent irritated him.

Bai Xiaoxi held back her tears and ran off, sulking.

Her snacks were gone—and she felt miserable.

Watching her flee, Hong Qianye chuckled coldly.

Got you right where I want you, little rodent.

He looked down at the feed in his hand, a glint flashing in his eyes.

Alright then, time to break through Tribulation.

Not wanting to risk anything going wrong, he downed the entire bag of feed in one go.

Mmm… it had a thick milky flavor, sweet and smooth, melting on his tongue. Surprisingly tasty.

But the satisfaction didn't last long. Hong Qianye's brows furrowed, and confusion flickered in his eyes.

Wait… why does my stomach feel like it's about to explode?

What he didn't realize was that this feed was crafted specifically for pet beasts. If a human consumed it, their body would reject it completely—offering zero benefits to cultivation.

Now, powerful energy churned violently in his gut.

"Damn it… this is bad," he muttered, sweat starting to bead on his forehead.

If this energy kept rampaging, his body would tear itself apart.

He had to act fast.

Without hesitation, Hong Qianye dropped into a horse stance and began guiding the chaotic energy within him. His usually fair face turned beet red, sweat pouring down his face, breath growing shallow and quick.

PFFT—!

A thunderous fart exploded from beneath him, unleashing a shockwave of energy.

On the back of the Kunpeng, where Ye Junlin had built his little palace, the surrounding pavilions, bridges, and garden-like courtyards all trembled from the impact. The fart sent dust flying, and the trees shook as if caught in a storm.

Hong Qianye was blasted into the air by the invisible force.

Meanwhile, Bai Xiaoxi was still pouting over her lost snacks.

Ye Junlin lounged lazily on a recliner, soaking up the sun. Seeing her mopey face, he asked, "Little Xi, what's got you all gloomy?"

Normally she was bursting with energy—what changed?

Bai Xiaoxi wanted to say something but thought better of it. She swallowed her words, keeping the grievance to herself.

She figured if she told Master, he'd definitely punish Hong Shixiong, and that would only make things worse between them.

Instead, she quietly took the milk tea from the table and sipped. Sweet things were good for lifting a heavy mood.

Ye Junlin frowned, about to press her when—

Boom!

A loud blast shook the entire island, startling everyone and sending a small tremor through the ground.

"What the hell was that?!"

Ye Junlin sprang to his feet, eyes wide.

Then he saw it—a figure in red shooting through the sky, veering off the Kunpeng's path.

He reached out and summoned the figure back with a flick of spiritual power.

Whoosh!

Hong Qianye landed heavily on the ground, his flawless face flushed scarlet with shame.

The Sect Leader of the Demon Sect… had just let out an explosive fart?

"Enemy attack! Master, we're under attack!" Li Wujie came running over, sword drawn in alarm.

Ye Junlin: "…"

Sensing the awkward atmosphere, Li Wujie froze. "Uh… no?"

Ye Junlin cleared his throat, then turned his sharp gaze on Hong Qianye. "Little Hong. Mind telling me what that was?"

The moment he faced Ye Junlin's silver-haired figure, Hong Qianye's usual arrogance vanished. He fidgeted, uneasy.

"Are you deaf? I asked you a question," Ye Junlin said flatly, his voice cutting.

Boom.

A wave of spiritual pressure erupted like divine punishment.

"I—I was wrong, Master! Forgive me!" Hong Qianye dropped to his knees instinctively, forehead to the ground.

He knew Ye Junlin doted on that little rodent, and if the truth came out about the snack theft, he'd be flayed alive.

Ye Junlin sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose.

All this over a fart… was he too harsh on his disciples?

Then suddenly, Hong Qianye's expression twisted. Cold sweat rolled down his face. He trembled, clearly struggling to keep it in.

"You… what's going on now?" Ye Junlin raised an eyebrow.

PFFT—!!!

Another loud blast echoed. A rush of energy burst out, tousling Ye Junlin's silver hair as if he'd been hit by a storm.

Once again, Hong Qianye was launched skyward by his own gas.

"Hong Shixiong!" Li Wujie shouted, stunned.

Bai Xiaoxi sniffed, blinking in surprise. "Hong Shixiong's fart… actually smells good?"

Not exaggerating.

The gas was odorless and carried a creamy, milky scent. Breathing it in was strangely refreshing.

Ye Junlin was speechless.

Why the hell does a Great Ascension cultivator fart like this? And why does it smell… pleasant?

His eyes narrowed. He turned to Bai Xiaoxi. "Did he take your snacks?"

Bai Xiaoxi's face tightened. "Y-yeah… I gave it to him. He said he just wanted to try it."

Heh.

Ye Junlin chuckled coldly.

He instantly pieced it together. Hong Qianye must've sensed the quality of the beast feed, swiped it for himself, and now… was paying the price.

"Master… should we help Hong Shixiong?" Bai Xiaoxi asked timidly.

"Help him?" Ye Junlin scoffed. "Let him enjoy the consequences. He'll be fine once he's done farting."

Leaning back in his recliner again, he took in a deep breath—his face relaxing… until a realization hit him.

Wait a second.

Was he just enjoying the smell of his disciple's fart?

His face darkened.

With a flick of his sleeve, he cleared the air, muttering in irritation.

Li Wujie just stood there, totally lost.

Today had been too weird. He'd rather go practice sword techniques than try to understand any of this.

Meanwhile…

Hong Qianye gritted his teeth, still trying to digest the chaotic energy. With every burst of gas, he was launched across mountains and oceans, trailing after the distant Kunpeng.

A cold voice echoed from behind: "Finish your farting, then come back for punishment."

"Yes, Master…" Hong Qianye replied weakly, his expression full of bitterness and regret.

Good thing none of his enemies were around to see this—he'd die of shame.

High above a remote village—

"Wow! Look! A fairy in red!" The villagers shouted excitedly, pointing at the airborne figure.

"Huh? What's that sound?" someone asked, noticing the occasional pooting noises.

"Why does it sound like… farting?" a young herder blinked.

"Nonsense!" the village elder barked, whacking the kid's head with a cane. "How could a beautiful fairy fart?!"

He looked reverently at the flying figure, shouting, "She's releasing celestial energy! A blessing from heaven for Ji Ba Village!"

"Celestial energy?! No wonder it smells so wonderful!"

"Quick! Breathe it in! Breathe deeply!"

The whole village erupted in excitement, rushing to follow the 'fairy's' path, sniffing with glee, faces filled with joy like they were inhaling fortune itself.

And so, this event would later become a legend in Ji Ba Village.

The tale of a beautiful red-clad fairy who passed over on a sunny morning, moved by their purity, bestowing heavenly blessings that brought prosperity and endless vitality to their lives…
