Legendary Architect of Apocalypse

Chapter 213: Voice of the dead

The girl enjoyed the feeling of being able to suppress a descendant, something that she couldn't normally witness.

Even if Elias was strong, all his class abilities were sealed. He was at their mercy. Or rather, he was at the mercy of her Summoned Beast, which was already standing next to Elias, completely invisible.

The beast was standing on two feets, and had blades for hands. His blades were merely inches away from Elias's neck, and he simply needed an order from his master to move.

The girl didn't have the courage to kill Elias either, but she enjoyed the feeling of holding his life and death in her hands.

Soon, she started counting down, and the beast moved his blade, letting Elias experience the feeling of something sharp brushing against his neck. It was a warning for him to listen to others, if he didn't want to lose his head.

"One... Two... Thre-"

The girl's counting abruptly stopped, as a muffled bang echoed in the surroundings. She suddenly vomited a mouthful of blood, unable to breathe anymore, as her throat was painted red in blood.

There was a small hole in the middle of her throat. She grabbed her throat, trying to stop the blood, but it failed. She couldn't even speak, and fell on her knees.

At the same time, the invisible beast also suffered, with a blade being plunged straight into its chest.

Elias didn't wait for the beast to disappear after its master died. Instead, he killed the beast, which was supposed to become a feast for Lycorice. It was also a punishment for the beast, for making him bleed.

....

"He is truly as wild as the rumours said..." Helen mumbled, looking at the bloody scene that was taking shape on the ground.

There was only a little snow left around the storm, and even that beautiful white show was slowly painted red, forming a gruesome scenery.

Not just the students, but even their Summoned Beasts were killed by Elias. And he doesn't use any class abilities while killing them. He simply used the weapons.

In his left hand, there was a long sniper rifle, while his left hand held a blade that was stained in blood of the Summoned Beasts.

What surprised her was the fact that these weapons were able to kill the Summoned Beasts, something that only other Beasts should have been able to do.

"The Ashborn Family has a lot of depth. These weapons must have been made from the corpse of some godly beast. That's why it can counter the other beasts."

She rubbed her chin, watching Elias walk away from the storm after killing everyone there.

"I heard that the Ashborn Family didn't really like him. He was said to be almost abandoned by his family. Their relationship was said to be estranged. Was it just a rumor to fool the outside world?"

"If he was really hated by his family, why would they give him such precious items for him to succeed at the Academy?"

Initially, she thought that Elias was going to suffer a little. She knew that the others wouldn't kill him, but they were definitely going to embarrass him after taking him down. But the reality was quite different.

Not only had Elias been completely unharmed, but he was also walking towards the tent of the Creature Faction where almost all the rankers and other students were resting, waiting for the end of this test to be declared.

Kaelen, the Inheritor of the Ice Phoenix Flames, was also supposed to be sleeping inside the Creator Faction.

She somewhat looked forward to their clash, especially since she was sure that Kaelen was going to win. Even though Elias had a few unique treasures, Kaelen had the mystical flames, which made him almost invincible in the same realm.

Kaelen also had the support of the other rankers. Meanwhile, Elias was all alone since everyone else in his class was already killed.

"If he was caught by the others, he would have just lost his points. But if he came across Kaelen, he might really die. Should I do something?"

Even though she wanted to see Elten's distorted faces when he heard the news about his brother's death, she didn't know if Kaelen could truly bear the brunt of the Ashborn Family if he killed Elias.

It wouldn't matter if he was truly hated by his family. But she thought that it was just a rumor. He was treasured by his family in reality.

In that case, the relationship between the Ashborn Family and the Academy was going to get worse if Elias died.

If it was any other founding family, she wouldn't care much. The Academy could protect their Star Disciple. But it was that one family, which even the Academy didn't want to outright offend.

"I should stop him before things get worse." She stood up, and decided to intervene by giving Elias a warning personally.

She opened the void, and was about to enter. But as she was about to walk inside, she felt a cold hand grab her wrist.

She looked down at the pale yet cold hand which was holding her hand, before turning back to Elten.

"You were awake?" she asked the man, who still had his eyes closed.

"Your barrier is good. It can stop the sound of everything. But even it can't stop the voices of the dead."

The barrier around the place made it impossible to hear anything. But Elten wasn't a normal person. He was a Necromancer with great achievements.

He didn't have to rely on his senses to hear things. He could hear the voices and grievances of the dead, including those who had died at Elias's hands just now.

He had already woken up when Elias killed the first person after stepping out of the Storm.

"I should have guessed." Helen sat back on the chair, and the void closed. "Do you not want me to intervene to save your brother?"

"Is he really the one who needs to be saved?" Elten slowly opened his lifeless eyes.
