Chapter 67: – "The Light That Faces the Abyss"
The village near HeroCity still smoldered. Cracked earth, burned trees, and the stench of destruction betrayed the presence of something—or someone—not normal.
From the heart of the ruins, Bhor loomed. His body encased in ivory-violet armor, his eyes glowing with molten orange, an aura that warped the air around him.
"Kairon gifted me this… and now I am the judgment!" he proclaimed, arms spread wide. With no hesitation, he began summoning a dark-white lightning bolt from the sky, obliterating half the remaining structures.
🌪️
"He's here," Zen Kagetsune murmured, observing from the top of a collapsed building.
Beside him, Kane Jayson activated his Crimson Reflex, his eyes glowing ruby-red.
"Can you feel that? His energy… it's like a collapsing star," he said.
"I feel it," replied Dante Valtier, his golden aura shimmering around him. "But we won't back down. He may be powerful—but he's not invincible."
Zen cracked his neck and drew the "Leviathan's Tooth."
"Then let's hunt a monster."
The Battle Unfolds
Kane dashed in a zigzag, evading Bhor's plasma blasts. Meanwhile, Dante conjured seven flaming swords to obscure his vision.
Zen leapt in from behind, aiming for a fatal strike—but his blade pinged harmlessly off Bhor's chest.
"My skin is now forged from the first planets!" Bhor bellowed, responding with a punch that hurled Zen into a truck—splitting it in two.
Dante rushed in next, launching himself like a meteor behind his fiery swords. Their collision formed a crater, yet Bhor stood laughing, unharmed.
"You are glorified pawns!" he snarled.
With blinding speed, Kane struck Bhor's face with a powerful kick. This was the first sign of faltering in the alien herald.
Zen rose slowly, his eyes aflame. He uncorked a vial and swallowed a Singularity capsule.
"Predator Mode… Absolute."
In seconds, his muscles bulged, veins darkened, and his pupils glowed poison-red.
"Five minutes. That's all I need to rip your bones out through your mouth."
Zen lunged, his movements savage and relentless—and finally pierced Bhor's armored shell.
Bhor roared in pain:
"AAAAARGH!"
But he was far from defeated.
☢️
"HEAR THE LAUGHTER OF THE ABYSS!" Bhor screamed, unleashing his ultimate technique.
A wave of violet-black energy washed over the battlefield. Screams invaded the heroes' minds—hallucinations of lost loved ones. All dropped to their knees—except Zen, who endured the psychic assault.
Kane stared at shaking hands. Dante envisioned his mother dying again. But then:
"SHUT UP!" Zen roared.
He slammed his Cursed Katana into the ground. The blade's shockwave silenced the voices, weakening Bhor's technique.
"NOW!" Zen commanded.
Kane, still trembling, activated Antimatter Rays in his left palm. Dante gathered his flame into a single luminous lance.
Their combined strike—⚡💥🌈—sent Bhor soaring, pierced, broken, and burning.
"No… Kairon… promised me invincibility…" Bhor whispered, before vaporizing into black motes through an escape portal.
At the Stormbreak Mansion…
Annie, Abby, and Eliara gathered with Rose, shaken by news from the charred village.
"We're not just fighting guilds anymore… this is a universal war," Rose said calmly, though her hands trembled.
Annie checked her phone, relieved:
"Ryan just texted: 'We're returning. Bhor has fallen.'"
She smiled. Abby took her hand. Eliara closed her eyes and whispered:
"I'm so glad you're still here…"

Heroes' Sanctuary Meeting
Darius paced anxiously.
"They're moving too fast… Kairon is accelerating his plans."
Inavy responded:
"The Spear was the trigger."
Lorien, stern, added:
"The kids are ready. But what about us?"
Kelvin Nox stood.
"I've always been ready."
Darius exhaled:
"Then let the next move come."
📜
At chapter's end, Kairon sits on his throne among stars and black holes, holding the broken Spear of Destiny.
"The pieces are being gathered. Once it's whole… every hero will fall," he whispers, his eyes cruel.
"And the one who bears the Reversum… will be first."
