Konoha: Uchiha's Two-Way Travel in One Piece

Chapter 47: A Contract with Minato & Kushina

-----

As Uchiha Kaito and Kushina approached the Naka River, Kaito suddenly stopped.

A rush of information flooded into his mind.

"What's wrong?" Kushina asked, her tone laced with concern.

"It's nothing," Kaito replied with a faint smile. "The shadow clone I sent with Minato just dispelled, transferring its information to me. our base has already been located."

"Let's go; it's this way."

Digesting the information swiftly, he gestured for Kushina to follow. Within minutes, they ran over a kilometer, weaving through a dense forest along the Naka River, until they emerged in a clearing downstream.

"Yo, Minato! We're here!" Kaito called out cheerfully, raising a hand in greeting.

Minato, already waiting, waved back with a warm smile. "Welcome! What do you think of this spot? Pretty good, right?"

"Indeed." Kaito nodded in approval.

Minato continued, a hint of uncertainty in his voice, "So, how should we begin training? I'm not entirely sure what to start."

Despite his talent, Minato came from a civilian background and lacked guidance in advanced training methods. Most of what he knew came from the academy.

Kaito didn't hesitate. "We'll start with hand signs, the foundational taijutsu training and chakra control."

"Ninjutsu can wait. Build a solid base first; it'll make everything else easier later."

Minato looked puzzled. "Hand sign training and taijutsu basics I understand, but chakra control? How do we even train that?"

Kaito smirked and shook his head. "Not the stuff they teach at the academy. I'll explain chakra control later."

"I've developed a taijutsu training method inspired by my clan's foundational techniques. This has become mandatory for all Uchiha academy students and younger children in the clan. Words won't be enough. Let me show you."

Kaito began demonstrating the techniques, performing each movement slowly while explaining every detail.

Kaito's mastery of the foundational taijutsu was evident, his movements precise and fluid. Over the past days, his training had brought him close to full mastery of this technique, a blend of Uchiha taijutsu fundamentals and elements of the Six Powers training methods.

His innate talent—Heaven Rewards Diligence—also played a part, constantly refining the technique as he practiced. Though it wasn't comparable to the breakthroughs from post-limit realizations, it still elevated the method to surpass traditional clan techniques in both efficiency and effectiveness.

After his slow and meticulous demonstration, Kaito stopped and asked, "How much of that did you catch?"

"All of it!" Kushina and Minato answered in unison, their expressions earnest.

Their sharp memories and understanding made it possible for them to grasp the details, especially with Kaito's deliberate pace and thorough explanations.

"Good! Now try it yourselves. Let's see if you can put it into practice."

The two began their attempts, but it was clear they hadn't fully grasped the essence. understanding wasn't the same as practicing.

Kaito, patient as ever, created a shadow clone to guide them through the training. Meanwhile, his original body moved to a corner to continue his own practice.

For himself, the taijutsu training and the Longevity Technique were his primary focuses. When paired with high-grade nutrient pills or Sea King meat, the effects of the vitality technique were even more pronounced.

Unlike the pills the Uchiha Pharmacy had begun selling publicly, Kaito's personal supply contained only the highest-purity extracts, with 90% derived from concentrated Sea King essence.

One pill equaled the benefits of a pound of Sea King meat, making his regimen both effective and efficient.

After ten rounds, Kaito felt fatigue and soreness setting in. He paused to consume a nutrient pill. As the warm energy spread from his stomach, the exhaustion and soreness began to disappear, though it would take about thirty minutes for full recovery.

He dismissed the shadow clone instructing Minato and Kushina and walked over to check their progress. Both had successfully grasped the basics, much to his satisfaction.

"Not bad! It seems your comprehension and physical talent are excellent," he praised. "For the next few months, dedicate one to two hours every morning and afternoon to this training. Keep refining your bodies every day."

Kushina groaned, visibly exhausted. "Every day? Morning and afternoon? You might as well kill me now! This training is brutal. Isn't there an easier way?"

Minato chuckled at her complaints. "There's no shortcut to strengthening your body and training."

"Kaito's sharing such a valuable method with us is already an incredible gift. It's something I'd never have had access to before."

Gratitude shone in Minato's eyes, and his goodwill toward Kaito increased yet again.

Kushina rolled her eyes at his earnestness. "Seriously? You're such a goody-two-shoes. Can't you tell I'm just venting?"

Turning to Kaito, her eyes sparkled with hope. "Isn't there really a less grueling way?"

Kaito smiled thoughtfully. "Well, there is... but it comes at a cost."

Both Minato and Kushina stared at him, intrigued.

"What kind of cost?" Kushina asked, clinging to his arm and looking up at him expectantly.

Minato, more composed, simply observed. He had already resolved to focus entirely on his training, setting aside any personal feelings for Kushina.

"It requires your complete trust in me," Kaito said seriously. "What I'm about to share involves one of my most closely guarded secrets."

"If you agree, you'll gain immense benefits but also be bound to me to some extent. If you're unwilling, we'll stick to the original training plan."

The time had come to bind them through a contract. Their goodwill was already high enough, and while Minato had the determination to persist with traditional training, Kushina's temperament and lack of hardship made it unlikely she'd endure for long.

"I agree!" Kushina said without hesitation. Being bound to Kaito didn't bother her; her heart was already his. If it meant an easier path to power, why not?

Minato, after a brief moment of thought, nodded firmly. "I trust you, Kaito. Let's do it."

"Good," Kaito said, satisfied with their resolve. Concentrating, he summoned two intricate runes from his brow, sending them to hover before Minato and Kushina.

"Touch these marks and choose to accept the contract in your mind."

Without hesitation, both reached out. The runes dissolved into streams of light, entering their bodies and settling in their minds. As information surged into their consciousness, they closed their eyes to process it.

Kaito had shared not only details about the Time-Space Gate and the world of pirates but also glimpses of the future, including the impending destruction of the Uzumaki Clan and the eventual threat posed by the Ōtsutsuki.

These revelations were carefully chosen to instill urgency without overwhelming them.

---

After ten minutes, they opened their eyes, still reeling from the knowledge.

"Is this all real? Another world? Pirate world? Devil Fruits? Sea Kings? And the Uzumaki Clan's future…?" Minato muttered, overwhelmed.

The enormity of Kaito's secrets left him both awed and deeply grateful.

Kushina, however, focused on her clan's disaster. "Is the Uzumaki Clan really doomed? How can this happen? Does Grandma know?"

Kaito placed a reassuring hand on her head. "Don't worry. My mother and Lady Mito have already taken steps. Though the Uzumaki leader rejected the initial suggestion to relocate to Konoha, we'll intervene when the time comes."

"Really?" Kushina asked, her hope rekindled.

"Yes," Kaito affirmed, though he added a caution. "But keep this to yourself. Sharing it could compromise my secrets. Focus on training. If you're not strong enough, you won't be able to face future challenges. Remember, Lady Mito and others can't protect us forever."

Turning to Minato, he added, "The same goes for you. Don't waste your talent. I'll provide the tools, but the results depend on your effort."

Minato nodded resolutely. "I won't let you down, Kaito."

"I just want to ask, in the future there will be a race called Ōtsutsuki invading the ninja world and destroying the ninja world. Is this news true?"

"Can you really see the future?"
