Chapter 7: New Journey

After the battle with the first-grade cursed spirit, Akira slowly regained consciousness. His body felt drained, but his mind was buzzing with thoughts. As he opened his eyes, he saw the figure of a man standing beside him—tall, with white hair, and wearing a blindfold.

It was Gojo Satoru.

"You're awake?" Gojo said with a grin, his voice playful. "That was impressive. Surviving that without any external help? You really are something."

Akira blinked in confusion. He had been sure that he would die during the fight with the cursed spirit.

He struggled to sit up, but his body felt heavy. Despite that, his mind was alert.

Gojo noticed his confusion and knelt down beside him. "I'm Gojo Satoru. And you kid!"

"You've already surpassed most jujutsu sorcerers in cursed energy manipulation and reinforcement technique mastery without any formal training."

"You've been using cursed energy like it's second nature. Tell me, do you know how amazing is that?"

Akira looked at him, still unsure of how to respond. "I… I don't know. It's all been… luck?"

"No, that's not it. It's more like things just happen to work out for me."

Gojo chuckled, clearly intrigued. "Luck, huh? That's one way to look at it. But what you've got isn't something that can be explained with luck or reasoning."

"What you have is a space-time technique. An innate one, just like mine."

Akira frowned, still struggling to connect the dots. "Space-time technique? What do you mean?"

Gojo stood up and unwrapped the blindfold, revealing his eyes—those deep, infinite orbs that Akira had only heard rumors about.

"I have the Six Eyes, a powerful ability that allows me to see cursed energy in its purest form and control it with precision. And you, Akira, don't have something exactly like it, but your technique is unique in its own right."

He paused for a moment before continuing. "I analyzed your battle earlier. That technique you used? It's not just manipulation of cursed energy."

"It's far more—space, time, reality itself… You can bend and warp the fabric of the world. Your technique is far greater than anything I've seen, though it's more raw and untamed."

Akira's eyes widened as Gojo continued explaining. He had always known something was different about his abilities, especially since they were granted by the system, but hearing Gojo describe his powers like this was overwhelming.

Could it be true? Was he really using some kind of advanced technique without even knowing it?

"You don't know it yet, but you've already unlocked a part of your power that most sorcerers only dream of," Gojo said, grinning. "Your control over cursed energy is like nothing I've ever seen."

Akira was speechless. He had never considered himself anything special—just a guy with a weird sense of luck that helped him avoid danger. But now, with Gojo's words, he couldn't help but feel a sense of awe at his own abilities.

What kind of person was he really?

All of his other abilities had been perfected without him even knowing. He never practiced them, but he knew how to use them.

After a long pause, Gojo broke the silence. "Look, I've seen enough. You have a ton of potential. And I think it's best if you come with me to Jujutsu High, where sorcerers like you can learn something more."

"We can train you there, teach you how to control your technique, and make sure you're not wasting this ridiculous amount of power you have."

Akira hesitated. The last thing he wanted was to dive deeper into the world of curses and sorcery. It felt like too much, and he wasn't even sure he wanted to be a part of it. He had only just discovered that he wasn't some random guy with weird luck, but someone with actual, dangerous abilities. It was overwhelming.

"I don't know about this cursed energy and jujutsu," Akira replied. "I mean, that sounds like a lot of pressure. I've been getting by just fine without anyone's help."

Gojo's expression didn't change, but there was a hint of playfulness. "You're good, no doubt about that. But think about it, Akira. What you have is something special. It's not something you can just ignore, and it's something that could change the course of everything around you."

"This world… it's full of unknown dangers you don't even know about. You can't keep walking through life pretending none of this exists."

Akira looked down, feeling a strange mix of curiosity and apprehension. Gojo was persistent, and something about his words struck a chord with him. But still, Akira wasn't sure if he was ready to take that plunge.

Gojo seemed to sense his hesitation and grinned wider. "Alright, alright. No pressure. Take your time to think about it. But I'm not going anywhere. I'll be watching you. And eventually, you'll see. You're better off with us."

Gojo left the destroyed factory, leaving him alone.

Over the next few days, Akira noticed Gojo's presence everywhere. Whether it was in the background of his daily routine or in more direct interactions, Gojo seemed to be constantly observing him.

It would have been annoying, but strangely, he had been sleeping soundly during these days, which made him happy.

But still, he could always feel Gojo staring at him.

Gojo was clearly observing from afar, where Akira couldn't detect him with his previous perception, but now with his upgraded real-time space-time perception, he could see him clearly.

He was eating desserts?

One day, while hanging out alone, Gojo approached him once more, this time with a playful look on his face.

"Kira-kun, I'll join you in this little game."

Akira raised an eyebrow as Gojo casually joined in the game. But as the game went on, Gojo found himself surprisingly outmatched by Akira's unpredictable luck and strategy, despite his own overwhelming abilities.

"Alright, alright. I've lost."

"I'm not pushing you, but you might not know it yet, but you're going to be great there. And I'm not giving up until you do."

Akira hesitated once more but eventually sighed. "Fine. I'll go. But only because you're too persistent to ignore."

"And also, call me by my name!."

"It's Akira."

For a moment, Gojo stared at Akira's face before responding, "Okay, Akira-kun."

Akira still felt something was off about the way Gojo called him.

As Akira agreed, the system chimed in with a new notification:

[System: Congratulations! You've entered a new phase in your journey![

[Reward: One-time chance to copy a technique]

With that, Akira couldn't help but laugh at the absurdity of it all. He was about to dive into a world of curses, jujutsu sorcerers, and battles that could literally rip apart reality—and his system was still focused on making him more powerful.

"System, can I use Limitless without the Six Eyes?"

[Yes!]

"Okay, then copy it."

[System Alert: Congratulations for obtaining Limitless (Basic)]

[Detecting ability: Space-time perception and space manipulation (space-time)]

[Upgrading ability: Limitless (Intermediate)]

He could only wonder what the future held for him at Jujutsu High, but for now, one thing was certain—he was in for the wildest ride of his life.

Somehow, Gojo really convinced Akira's parents to let him leave so quickly.

Akira was dumbfounded. The person he most admired was his father. He was intelligent, powerful, but that very person sent his son away with a stranger!.

All these years where was I even living

---

"Did you find out about that brat?" a strange man asked his subordinates.

"Yes, sir," the other one handed him a file with Akira's information.

"Kira Yagami, son of..."

"It's really troublesome. Investigate more and find the right time when he's alone. Don't leave any traces for the police to found."

"Sosuke, you're really making things difficult," Manabu sighed about his troublemaker brother.

Manabu stood up from his chair and slowly walked through the corridor.

In these dark corridors, where darkness rooted, his song echoed:

🎶 Death is better than a life in shame.

I'd rather die than live without dignity's flame.

In your presence, I'm free to be.

I'll sacrifice all, for you and me.

Without you, I wither away.

In your love, I'll live another day. 🎶
