Chapter 463: Founding Ancestor Hundred-eye
The Founder of the Greenflame Sect erupted with cultivation at the peak of the 3rd Layer of Qi Condensation. The Shadow Tree Soldier was badly hurt due to its close proximity to this outburst and was subsequently sent flying into a nearby mountain peak.
Necro's eyes flashed coldly as he saw 3rd Ancestor Greenflame heal himself with some kind of pill. However, even while consuming it, he seemed extremely hesitant about using it.
Clearly, it was a very precious commodity—likely the only one he had.
"We gave you a chance to surrender yourself," said the Founding Ancestor of the Hundred-eyed Sect. "But you were obstinate and refused our goodwill. Don't blame us for what's about to happen next."
So what if this abomination had a dozen 1st Layer Qi Condensation Realm monsters on his side!?
In the face of absolute power, the quantity of the opposition didn't matter a single bit!
Every Layer of the Qi Condensation Realm was akin to a chasm—one that grew vaster the higher up you went. Even if dozens of 1st Layer Qi Condensation Realm Cultivators were to efficiently team up against a 3rd Layer Cultivator, they still might not come out on top.
And now, facing Necro's bodily extension and his Shadow Tree Soldiers were two 3rd Layer Qi Condensation Realm Cultivators, and over five in the 2nd and 1st Layers.
If it were any normal band of 1st Layer Qi Condensation Realm Cultivators, death was certain.
However…
"The 3rd Layer of the Qi Condensation Realm," Necro mused as he opened up his system interface. "How interesting."
He retrieved the |Poisonous Spear| he killed the Hundred-eyed Sect Leader with. After that, a wondrous reaction occurred in his main body as his various components radiated unparalleled levels of light.
Countless evolutions commenced and concluded in mere milliseconds, giving the Ancestors of the two Sects a very irksome feeling. They shifted their heads in the direction of a grouping of mountains hiding a terrifying entity, only to have their eyes widen in horror.
"Th-This thing isn't the main body…!?" 2nd Ancestor Greenflame felt a harrowing sense of death creep up his spine, for the energy emanating from within that mountain range was too much to quantify. "W-We have to hurry up and eliminate the source!"
"Why bother?" said Necro's humanoid extension as he commanded his Shadow Tree Soldiers to attack the Ancestors. "Your deaths have already been chiseled into the annals of time."
"Guhh!!!"
The Shadow Tree Soldiers abandoned all regard for life and jumped the Ancestors of the two Sects. The Ancestors fought back fiercely and destroyed a number of them, but that hardly mattered—for it was impossible for the Shadows to die while Necro still had energy.
"T-These fuckers won't perish!" 4th Ancestor Hundred-eye exploded in anger and unleashed a lethal series of hammer attacks on a Shadow Tree Soldier. "But I just have to keep on hitting them!! Nothing in this world is invincible!!!"
Unfortunately…
SPURT!
"Wha-...!?"
The Shadow Tree Soldier 4th Ancestor Hundred-eye thought had finally died suddenly returned from obliteration, and with cold, empty eyes, it pierced the Ancestor with a thick needle-like appendage. Blood trickled down the Ancestor's eyes as he looked down at the near-fatal injury.
He was going to rip away from the Shadow Tree Soldier, but another one abruptly appeared behind him. And with two more thick needle-like appendages, 4th Ancestor Hundred-eye was run through twice more—once in his chest and once in his throat.
"Y…o…uu…"
While gurgling on his own blood, 4th Ancestor Hundred-eye felt not anger. No, he only felt an overwhelming primordial fear that contorted his expression into one of pure terror.
Yet that mattered not. The two Shadow Tree Soldiers with their sharp appendages piercing through him morphed those same appendages into blades. And with a ruthless sequence of actions, they diced 4th Ancestor Hundred-eye into hundreds of different pieces from the inside out.
*Ding!*
[You have slain a 1st Layer Qi Condensation Realm Cultivator and absorbed all his Lifespan!]
[Lifespan +328.3]
"YOUUU!!!!"
The Ancestors from both Sects exploded in anger!
This mere abomination was actually daring enough to kill one of their own right in front of them!?
Did he not know how to spell the word "Death"!?
"Good, good." Hundred-eyed Sect's Founding Ancestor felt his blood pressure skyrocket, with black lines streaking across his face. "Good!!"
OOOM!
Hundred-eyed Sect's Founding Ancestor could no longer restrain his fury, and with a sonic boom burst, he shot toward the two Shadow Tree Soldiers. They were instantly destroyed by two energy palm blasts.
This lightning-quick action was immediately followed by another burst of speed as the Hundred-eyed Founding Ancestor zipped between the other eight Shadow Tree Soldiers. He then flashed a chilling intent that rolled outward like a tsunami the moment he stopped flickering.
The Founding Ancestor was now standing directly before Necro's humanoid extension. Murderous intent billowed as the Founding Ancestor balled his fists, preparing to take out this monstrosity the same way as he took out the Shadow Tree Soldiers.
Necro pensively looked at the Hundred-eyed Founding Ancestor. He was not the least bit worried; rather, he raised his arms in a very casual manner. Then he started to speak:
"You're not bad. However, you're not strong enough to face me."
"Huh!??"
Just then!
SHA! SHA! SHA!
Raining from the skies were dozens of |Poisonous Spears|, all possessing a singular trajectory and lined up in a spread-out, uniform arc.
"T-This…!?"
The other Ancestors had no words to properly describe their feelings right now and were left to stare in dumbfoundment as the Founding Ancestor of the Hundred-eyed Sect was bombarded by these huge javelins.
"Do you honestly believe this'll be enough to hurt me!? It won't even breach through my defens—..."
CRACK—
"!?!?"
Hundred-eyed Founding Ancestor's eyes grew round as he was astonished to find that all of his protective barriers were shattered the moment the |Poisonous Spears| made contact. He was even more baffled to realize that he could barely fend off more than four of them.
He was being overwhelmed!
But how!?
They weren't so powerful before!
