I Was a Loner, but My Class Got Summoned to Another World…

Chapter 398: Abyssal Dread Sovereign

Looking at the young infant in front of him, Logan sighed and cut his finger.

He looked at the small dragon who was being held against its will, its large eyes looking at Logan with a pleading look.

"Look, I am currently not the one giving orders, and you know you are not a child; you need to be tamed, and I need a powerful creature.

How about it, we work together, you get more darkness crystals, get stronger, and I get a new creature I can work with, we both win."

Logan placed his hand in front of the creature, and it struggled a little, trying to reel itself back, but noticed that Logan stopped his hand just over it.

The small dragon looked at Logan, then at the hand that was stretched just a few centimeters before it.

As if thinking of what it was going to do.

It looked down at the hand, then back at the formless spirit, and then grunted in exasperation.

It outstretched its own palm and placed it on top of Logan's.

Logan felt it, the almost instant connection being made, no struggle, just pure acceptance over the power of taming.

The small dragon then roared as the darkness spirit finally let it go.

The small wings of the dragon unfurled, and it rose up into the air, slowly at first, but it knew it had to go up as soon as possible, if it was to gain its previous size, that small plateau would be squashed in an instant.

The last thing he wanted was to be slapped around by the darkness spirit again; he had had enough of that.

It got so bad that he had to be restored back into its infant form just to keep himself alive.

The dragon hated its lofty self for doing such a thing in the past, its actions that took away all its power.

At some point in his life, he could have sworn he was able to fight against the darkness spirit, and yet it was just a failed attempt, so futile it was like an elder dragon fighting a hatchling.

If there was something he would gain from this, though, it was that he was going to gain even more power.

Logan watched as the large dragon rose up into the air at a speed he could not follow with his own wings, at least if he did not use the wind element to propel himself.

He began checking the creature's stats as it was quickly changing forms.

The dark dragon went from infant to adult, then it changed into its level 40 evolution, causing its adult form to become far more majestic, with longer wings and longer horns.

It did not stop there; it then reached level 80 almost instantly, growing once again to a size rivaling Drakhel, Wyver, and Silis.

From the sky, scales began to fall, from small ones to large ones.

The darkness spirit made sure they did not harm Logan, though it collected them in a batch and placed them in a pile.

Logan quickly took note and kept an eye on the stats to check on the changes while he stored the scales.

Logan kept his eyes on the sky, watching how the dragon finished its transformation before coming back down.

It seemed to have known that to defeat the demons, it would need Logan's help.

Logan did not wait for long; he jumped on and landed on the back of the creature, just using the wind.

They would attack the demon camp now that he had help; it was where the demon general would soon appear.

It was the most dangerous spot; there were at least ten demons staying behind, or at least had retreated and were busy doing one last summon.

Logan could feel the change that the demons were trying to make some last-minute preparations.

There, the ten or so demons were around the circle that was being used to sustain the teleportation array.

They began to shoot at Logan and Narok, trying to give time to those who would appear.

Narok flew as fast as he could to avoid the shots, at times retaliating with one of his own, and yet the demons deployed a powerful shield just for darkness.

Soon, light glowed from the teleportation array.

Logan knew it was far too late; he saw how four individuals appeared, two of whom Logan could identify as demon generals.

It was quite evident by their magical signature.

They stood near the gate, and instead of retreating due to the large black dragon coming for them, they also held onto the portal that brought them and began letting demon after demon come out of the portal.

Within seconds, more than a hundred demons jumped out of the portal, and they began to fill the camp again, but this time they were well armed and armored.

Logan had never seen a demon try to armor themselves; they were like tribesman.

He was now so close to them that he overhead one of the generals call out to the rest.

"So the tamer hero is here, huh? Everyone, focus on killing him! No more mercy!"
