"How did you..." Dong Sheng began to exclaim in shock.

But before he could finish his sentence, Yan Junze interrupted him: "Thanks to you. My earlier question—why did you directly throw the Quantum Spectrum into the Void state environment?"

Dong Sheng did not respond but instead kept shaking his head, muttering incredulously to himself: "Not dead, you're not dead either! And I..."

He glanced down at his body. "Ha! I've ended up like this! Quantum Spectrum, Quantum Spectrum. Who would be foolish enough to forcefully merge the Quantum Spectrum with a Void state unless it was to break through the spacetime barrier?"

Raising his head, he turned to look at Yan Junze again: "Because it's only in a Void state that the Quantum Spectrum can combine with a mind-wave spectrum."

Yan Junze froze for a moment. "So you mean to say, once the Quantum Spectrum merges with someone's mind-wave, that person can harness the Quantum Spectrum?"

After the lab explosion, the ensuing chaos in the Void state caused a one-way breach between the positive and negative spaces of this world, leading to strangenesses invading the Human World.

According to Yan Junze's deductions, in the passageway connected to the strangeness world, the Quantum Spectrum, which had fused into his mind-wave spectrum, found an energy source it could utilize: Different Dimension Energy.

The Spectrum then autonomously conducted deep analysis and reconstruction, identifying energy sources and issuing missions for him to complete. By doing so, it could extract the strangenesses' obsession energy to achieve its goal of collecting Different Dimension Energy.

Of course, some of the Quantum Spectrum's original features remained, such as time rewind, spacetime fixed point insertion, space-time lockdown, and spacetime scene overlap.

New features were also added during the transformation, such as Evil Spirit Solid Lock and Perception of Strange Events.

When pieced together, everything seemed to fall into place.

As for why Dong Sheng had thought of using the Book of Change to summon the True Word Demon, eliminate exorcists from the Great Capital, and thereby control the strangenesses, there was only one possibility—one that Yan Junze had already deduced during a prior Great Rewind when he returned to the laboratory.
