Chapter 108: A Cunning Ploy

After the Persian's Power Gem successfully dismantled the Sharpedo's Aqua Jet, the situation on the sea temporarily eased. Jubei's lips, however, curled into a cold sneer.

"Sharpedo, use Poison Fang and Ice Fang!" he commanded loudly. "Give them a taste of hell!"

The five Sharpedo swiftly responded, agilely moving through the water while simultaneously condensing Poison and Ice energy. The poison from their fangs permeated the air, and the cold from their icy maws instantly froze the surrounding seawater, causing the Golden Beauty to grind to a halt.

"Beedrill, fly with all your might and blow away this poison mist!" Giovanni frowned. His partner instantly sprang into action, its wings furiously vibrating, and the resulting strong winds quickly dispersed the toxins.

"Next, Persian, use Screech to interfere with them! Beedrill, continuous attacks with Pin Missile! Don't give them a chance to use their moves!" Giovanni waved his hand.

Persian reacted swiftly, letting out a piercing shriek that vibrated through the air, causing the five Sharpedo's movements to briefly falter.

Meanwhile, Beedrill launched a continuous barrage of Pin Missile attacks like a torrential storm, heading straight for the Sharpedo. Under their combined assault, the five Sharpedo's offensive was temporarily suppressed.

However, due to the Sharpedo's Rough Skin ability, Beedrill and the Persian's stamina were gradually being depleted with each physical strike.

"Useless!" Jubei snorted coldly. "From the bottom of the ship, break it apart!"

Under his command, the five Sharpedo quickly dove underwater and launched an attack from beneath the Golden Beauty. The ship suddenly suffered violent impacts, emitting a series of heart-stopping groans, as if it could break apart at any moment.

"Beedrill, quick!" Giovanni's expression became solemn. "Use Pin Missile to stop them!" His partner rapidly circled in the air, then swooped down like lightning, unleashing a storm of needles that struck the Sharpedo in the water.

However, the sharks were incredibly fast, agilely weaving and dodging Beedrill's attacks while continuously gnawing at the ship's bottom, causing the Golden Beauty to groan in distress.

"Once you're in the water," Jubei sneered, his eyes filled with intense killing intent, "you'll have nowhere to go but hell!"

Giovanni watched, a cold glint flashing in his eyes. If this continued, the ship would eventually be breached. He could have Beedrill carry him away, but few of the others would likely survive. That was a last resort.

In fact, he was still waiting for an opportunity. The commotion here was not small, and the scent of blood had long since spread. It was impossible for no other powerful Pokémon to be drawn to the area. For now, I'll take down as many as I can!

"Hone Claws!"

Beedrill lightly tapped its twin stingers, its aura condensing.

"My Sharpedo won't come out," Jubei sneered, seeing the move. "I'd like to see how you attack!"

No sooner had he finished speaking than Giovanni nodded to his Beedrill. "Attack him."

Beedrill transformed into a golden flash of lightning, flying towards Jubei at an extremely high speed.

"Sink quickly, Staryu!" Jubei shouted, his expression ugly. He hadn't expected Giovanni to be so dishonorable. Even if the Staryu sank now, it was too slow. Beedrill could dive a few meters without a problem.

While diving, Jubei also kicked his feet, summoning his Sharpedo. The five sharks, who had been furiously attacking the Golden Beauty, swiftly turned and headed towards him, leaping out of the water and breaking the surface towards Beedrill's back.

"U-turn! Fury Cutter!" Giovanni snorted coldly.

His Beedrill, which had been rushing towards Jubei, suddenly vibrated its wings, rapidly turning and heading towards the attacking Sharpedo. Its sharp stinger turned into a white streak, leaving a deep, bone-visible wound on one of them, severely injuring it.

It fell onto the water's surface, splashing up waves and a large amount of blood. The remaining Sharpedo's eyes instantly turned red at the sight. After severely injuring the Sharpedo, however, a wound appeared on Beedrill's own body from the Rough Skin.

"Persian, use Taunt! Create an opening!" Giovanni immediately shouted. Persian jumped onto the bow of the ship and let out a low, infuriating growl at the Sharpedo below. The sharks almost simultaneously turned their heads to look at it, their crimson eyes like rubies.

"Attack!" Giovanni roared. He didn't even need to shout; Beedrill was already ready. It swooped down, appearing behind the four Sharpedo, its stingers continuously waving, weaving among them. One after another, gruesome wounds appeared on their bodies.

However, while attacking, Beedrill was also being harmed by them. It managed to take down one more, but the cumulative damage was taking its toll. Its Swarm ability was now fully active.

As a pirate, holding one's breath was a required skill. Jubei could hold his for a long time. Seeing that several of his Sharpedo were now injured, he immediately summoned them to dive to the bottom of the sea. The three remaining sharks endured the intense pain, gave Beedrill a resentful look, and then quickly dove, returning to Jubei's side.

Jubei looked at Giovanni on the ship's bow, filled with killing intent. Even if Captain Arc had told him to rush to the S.S. Anne, he would no longer go. At this moment, he only wanted to kill Giovanni and avenge his two Sharpedo.

He pointed his finger at the Golden Beauty's already dilapidated hull, and the three Sharpedo swiftly moved, using Aqua Jet. Enveloped by water currents, they became like three water dragons, violently colliding with the ship.

The Golden Beauty let out a mournful cry, and cracks appeared in its keel. Having been barely holding on, it finally gave way. Large amounts of seawater poured into the ship's cabin.

The ship was sinking.
