Chapter 53: Chapter 53: Madara-sama’s Directness — Tengai Shinsei!!
Just moments ago, Jiraiya and Kakashi had followed Tsunade up to the rooftop of the Hokage building.
Due to Konoha's recent turmoil, Jiraiya had decided not to leave the village again.
And just now… he sensed it.
A large number of individuals with terrifyingly powerful chakra had suddenly entered the village.
Among them, two chakra signatures stood out—immensely strong, eerily familiar, and overwhelmingly dangerous.
Uchiha Madara!
And now…
After hearing what Leo had just said, Tsunade, Jiraiya, Kakashi, and even the Anbu behind them stared in stunned silence.
"You… what did you just say?" Tsunade asked, clearly shaken.
Had she heard him right?
It was one thing for someone to suggest that Konoha no longer needed a Hokage… but this man in front of her had just declared his intention to unify the entire ninja world!
"Madara… are you insane?!" Tsunade snapped.
She didn't even consider whether such a thing was possible—her immediate reaction was that Leo was completely out of his mind.
Jiraiya and Kakashi exchanged glances. They, too, felt the absurdity in Leo's words. To think that the legendary "Uchiha Madara" stood before them, openly announcing such madness…
And yet, there was something else bothering them.
Two "Uchiha Madaras"? How could that be?
Could one of them be a Shadow Clone?
Or was something far more complicated going on here?
---
"I heard… you once had a younger brother you loved dearly. He died in the war, didn't he?"
Leo's sudden words were directed at Tsunade, his tone calm, almost too casual.
Tsunade's expression instantly darkened. It felt as though he was deliberately poking at her old wounds.
"So what? Are you saying you want to create more death and war? Really, Madara?!" she shouted.
"War… is simply a method. A means to an end—peace," Leo replied coldly, brushing off her anger. "The problem is, most people don't have the ability to achieve true peace. Don't lump me in with them."
Madara, standing beside Leo with arms folded, sneered arrogantly. His eyes held no trace of compassion—only disdain.
"You…!" Tsunade fumed, but her words stuck in her throat.
Because deep down, she knew—his power was undeniably real.
Then Leo said something that made everyone freeze.
"What if I told you… I can bring your brother back to life?"
Tsunade's eyes widened. "What?"
"I'm not talking about the Impure World Reincarnation—no. Not some half-life, puppet-like resurrection. I mean a true resurrection. Alive. Breathing. Whole."
Tsunade's pupils contracted, her heart lurching as the image of Senju Nawaki's smiling face appeared in her mind.
"Nawaki…" Her voice trembled, and tears welled up in her eyes.
Jiraiya stepped in quickly. "Tsunade, don't listen to him. You know that's not possible. No one can truly bring back the dead."
"Heh," Madara chuckled coldly. "Then explain this—why am I, 'Uchiha Madara,' standing here right now?"
Those words sent a jolt through everyone.
He was right.
Madara—the Madara from legend—should have been long dead.
Yet there he stood, as real and powerful as ever. If he could come back… then maybe…
---
"Tsunade-sama, Jiraiya-sensei… it's been a long time."
The calm voice interrupted the tension in the air. Konan and Uzumaki Nagato stepped forward, eyes locked on Jiraiya.
"Huh?" Jiraiya blinked in confusion.
He didn't recognize them at first—but they called him Sensei.
"You… Nagato? Konan?!"
Recognition dawned in Jiraiya's eyes, followed by disbelief.
"You're alive?! That's… that's great! But wait—you're with Akatsuki?!"
Nagato nodded. "You could say that. But Akatsuki was originally created by Yahiko, Konan, and me."
Jiraiya reeled back as if struck. "What?!"
Tsunade, now calmer, turned to look at the two former orphans with surprise.
To think that the once-innocent children Jiraiya had taken in were now the founders of one of the most dangerous organizations in the world… how ironic.
"But Akatsuki… you're not a force for good. You've committed atrocities," Jiraiya said bitterly.
"People change, Sensei," Konan replied softly but firmly.
"You… you actually agree with Madara's plan to unify the ninja world by force?!" Jiraiya was appalled.
"Why not?" Konan answered. "The cycle of war never ends. His method might be the only way to stop it."
Jiraiya stared at them, unfamiliar and foreign despite the memories they once shared.
---
"Enough talk!"
The deep, commanding voice of Madara suddenly echoed across the rooftop.
"Obey… or watch Konoha fall."
His tone was final. His patience was gone.
In that instant, his eyes changed—shifting from ordinary black pupils to the legendary lavender glow of the Rinnegan.
Everyone's breath caught.
"Those eyes…!" Kakashi gasped. "Is that… the Rinnegan?!"
"It can't be…" Tsunade whispered, eyes wide in disbelief.
The Rinnegan—the legendary eye of the Sage of Six Paths—had manifested before their very eyes.
What made it even more shocking was that Madara's eyes had transformed. They weren't implanted. They were his own.
That shouldn't be possible!
The Uchiha had the Sharingan. How could it evolve into the Rinnegan?
Jiraiya's thoughts raced. He had assumed Madara had stolen the Rinnegan from Nagato, especially since Nagato's eyes had turned normal. But if this transformation was real…
Then Madara was even more terrifying than they had imagined.
---
cough
Madara didn't give them time to digest it.
With a mere thought, half of his massive Susanoo (Stage Two) emerged—towering, glowing, and dreadful.
The colossal four-armed warrior stood behind him like a god of destruction.
Each of the four hands began forming seals in sync with Madara's own.
"What… What's he doing now?" Tsunade asked, anxiety rising in her chest.
Jiraiya and Kakashi instinctively shifted into combat readiness. The Anbu behind them gripped their weapons tightly, though the fear in their eyes was unmistakable.
Uchiha Madara was moving.
And when he made a move, it was never small.
Suddenly, the sky darkened.
BOOOOM—
A deep rumble shook the very air.
A massive meteorite—hundreds of meters in diameter—broke through the clouds and slowly descended toward Konoha.
Gasps of horror rippled through the group.
Tsunade, Jiraiya, and Kakashi stared upward, mouths agape, unable to speak.
Clang!
One of the Anbu's swords fell to the ground. He hadn't even realized he dropped it.
Everyone, even the members of Akatsuki, were momentarily stunned.
Holy crap.
He was serious.
---
From the sky, Tengai Shinsei descended—Madara's judgment upon the world.
And beneath it… the Will of Fire trembled.
