Cheng Xiao nodded at Xu Kai's mother's arrangement on spending the night there.

"Okay then, I will just inform my roommate that I won't be returning today." She said standing up. 

She walked outside and called Shen Mu.

Shen Mu that was in the car on her way back saw the call and answered it.

"Are you on your way home?" Shen Mu asked when the call connected.

"No, I am calling to tell you not to wait up today." Cheng Xiao replied.

"What? Why? Are you not coming back?" Shen Mu asked.

"No, I am staying the night." Cheng Xiao replied looking into the night sky.

"What happened that you have to sleep there?" Shen Mu asked not understanding as to why Cheng Xiao had to spend the night there.

"Mrs. Xu said the time is late and she don't me going alone." She replied.

"Don't they have a driver that can drop you, isn't that how you got there in the first place." Shen Mu replied in confusion.

"I don't know, anyway I just wanted to inform you." Cheng Xiao said and hanged up.

"I don't understand this your friend." Shen Mu said turning to look at Hu Yiting.

"I don't understand him either." He replied.

Hu Yiting and Xu Kai had been friends since kindergarten and grew up together. 

Hu Yiting went to medical school to take over his family's hospital, while Xu Kai went abroad for business studies.

"You know that he likes your friend right." He said turning to look at her.

"Like her? You're joking." She said not believing her ears.

"Why do you think your friend lasted long as his secretary." He asked.

"Her capabilities?" She replied in a not so sure tone.

"That was one, the other is that she understood him so well. Xu Kai had been picky since as long as we know, he can't eat certain foods and don't trust people when it came to food, but that all changed." He spoke.

"'What are you saying? How can he like her and still blacklist her?" She asked.

"Cheng Xiao normally is the one that orders for him right when you guys had office parties." He replied and Shen Mu got a flashback.

Shen Mu remember last year when they had a dinner party.

They all walked into the restaurant; the restaurant had been empty due to fact that they had booked the entire office for that party. One of the colleagues had handed Xu Kai a menu to order food but after he took it, he called Cheng Xiao that was sitting with Shen Mu to come and sit with him. 

After she reached there, he gave her the menu card to order, and whenever someone orders something that Xu Kai doesn't eat, she would cancel the order and change it.

Coming out of the memory lane, Hu Yiting's words made sense.

"If he likes her, why did he blacklist her." She asked seriously.

"Because that is the only way for force her to go back to him." He replied.

"Do you know how hard she cried; designing was everything to her. She had felt that if she left the company she would finally get back to her dream, but he ruined it by blacklisting her." She replied.

"If I were you, I'd advise her to back, when it comes to stubbornness no one can compare." He said when he reached her apartment. She waved bye to him and entered the bulding.
