"Qi refinement, as the name suggests, is the process of refining your whole body with spirit

qi, or you can say infusing your entire body with qi to make it stronger.

There are three types of cultivators in this world:

First, those who cultivate only spirit qi, known as Qi cultivators generally.

Second, those who cultivate only the body, known as Body cultivators.

Thirdly, those who cultivate both Body and Qi. There is no specific term for them; you can simply call them Body and Qi cultivators.

Qi cultivators, as the name suggests, cultivate their qi. They refine and condense spirit qi to reach higher realms.

Body cultivators are different they cultivate their bodies using spirit qi. Instead of elevating their qi to the next level, they focus on elevating their bodies.

Whether body cultivator or qi cultivator, both go through the qi refinement realm as it is the base realm in which you refine your body using qi.

However, after that, they differ in their paths of cultivation.

There are a total of 9 stages of cultivation realms before ascending to immortality.

For qi cultivators, they are: Qi Refinement, Foundation Establishment, Core Formation, Soul Sea, Nascent Soul, Void Reversion, Heavenly King, Heavenly Emperor, and Tribulation Ascendance Realm.

For every major realm, there are 4 minor realms. Only the Qi Refinement and Tribulation Ascendance realms have 9 minor realms.

The 4 minor realms are: Early, Middle, Late, and Peak.

The 9 minor realms for Qi Refinement and Tribulation Ascendance are divided into 9 stages from stage 1 to stage 9.

Body cultivators also have to go through 9 major realms, generally divided into grades, from Grade 1 to Grade 9.

Grade 1 is Qi Refinement and has 9 stages. Similarly, Grade 9 is Tribulation Ascendance with 9 stages, while Grades 2 to 8 have 4 minor stages each.

These are the basics of the cultivation world, and every cultivator knows them.
