Harry Potter -Blood legacy

Chapter 24: ch-24

Tony had heard that there were more than a hundred house-elves hidden in the kitchen of Hogwarts, and he was curious to see if their cooking skills were as good as the house-elves he knew who specialized in the culinary arts.

If not, why should Liver even bother coming to Hogwarts?

However, before he could eat, Headmaster Dumbledore appeared to give a speech, much like a principal at a Muggle school. Would it be long-winded and dull?

But unlike Tony, the other students seemed very interested in Dumbledore. After all, he was the greatest white magician in the UK at the moment.

Contrary to Tony's expectations, Dumbledore quickly wrapped up the ceremony after briefly announcing the locations that students were prohibited from entering.

"Now... eat!"

As soon as Dumbledore finished speaking, a variety of food appeared on the tables in front of everyone.

Tony immediately recognized this as the handiwork of house-elves. With such a large-scale delivery of food, there must indeed be more than 100 house-elves in the Hogwarts kitchen!

But Tony's mind was now focused solely on eating.

He dug in without hesitation.

Wow! It was delicious!

Liver wouldn't have to come here after all!

By the time the last student had finished eating, all the plates and leftover food vanished from the tables.

Headmaster Dumbledore cheerfully instructed the prefects of each house to lead the students back to their dormitories, especially emphasizing the importance of guiding the first-years and explaining their respective house rules.

Tony followed two prefects, one male and one female, along with the other ten Ravenclaw first-years. They began experiencing the magic of Hogwarts for the first time.

The moving staircases, portraits that greeted them, and steps that seemed like they might disappear at any moment—it was all so novel.

As they were walking, a translucent figure suddenly blocked their path.

"Look, look at what Peeves sees! A bunch of little eagles who can only read books. What a sight it'll be when all of you are locked out of your tower!"

The figure, who they quickly learned was called Peeves, seemed mischievous and unpleasant. Without warning, he pulled out several dungbombs and threw them at the group.

Fortunately, the two prefects reacted quickly, casting spells to catch the dungbombs before they exploded.

"Peeves, if you keep this up, I'll go to the Bloody Baron!" the male prefect warned.

"Oooh, go to the Bloody Baron! How original," Peeves sneered. "As if Peeves is afraid of him!"

Despite his words, Peeves made a face and quickly disappeared into a nearby wall.

"Tony," Cho Chang said excitedly, "Was that Peeves a ghost? How can he pick up objects?"

Tony, ever eager to show off his knowledge, smirked and replied, "Peeves isn't a ghost, because he doesn't qualify as a living being—past, present, or future. He's more like a natural phenomenon."

"A natural phenomenon?" Cho and the other Ravenclaw students, including the older ones, listened intently, intrigued by Tony's explanation.

"Yes," Tony nodded confidently. "Peeves is what's known as a troublemaker. He's an inhuman, phantasmal entity born from people's laughter and mischief."

"Inhuman phantasmal entity?" The term sounded impressive, though unfamiliar, to the group.

"That's right," Tony continued, clearly enjoying the attention. "The opposite of a troublemaker like Peeves is a Boggart."

"Boggarts are born from fear!"
