God-Tier Kazekage: Building the Ultimate Hidden Sand Village

Chapter 83: 《God-Tier Kazekage: Building》Chapter 83: A Sudden Turn of Events

The Daimyō's eyes were wide open, filled with disbelief.

Even the head of the Genpei family froze in place, unable to react until the Daimyō's lifeless body collapsed to the ground, his eyes still bulging in shock.

"Bingkai?!"

"What are you doing?!"

The Genpei family head shouted furiously as he strode toward the captain of the guards.

But the captain stood there with a vacant expression, his demeanor eerily lifeless, resembling a puppet under someone's control.

A chill ran down the Genpei family head's spine as a sudden thought flashed through his mind like lightning.

"A puppet?"

"Could it be...!"

At the same time, the other guards drew their weapons and began attacking each other.

They hacked at one another without hesitation, as if they were slicing through someone else's flesh.

Chunks of flesh fell, and blood flowed freely, yet none of them showed any signs of pain.

Like soulless automata, they swung their blades mechanically, their faces frozen in stiff, grotesque expressions.

In mere moments, the grand hall had transformed into a scene straight out of hell. The guards, as if possessed by malevolent spirits, seemed to find joy only in mutilating human bodies.

"Scorpion brat? Old lady Chiyo?"

The Genpei family head shouted toward an empty corner of the hall as he dodged the captain's relentless attacks.

In his understanding, only two individuals in Sunagakure possessed such advanced puppet techniques.

However, his heart was filled with dread, for if those two had indeed been dispatched, it could only mean that the mastermind behind this was none other than the Third Kazekage!

The realization cast a heavy shadow of death over the Genpei family head's heart.

After all, he had just committed the unthinkable—killing the Daimyō. How could he possibly escape the clutches of the Third Kazekage and his allies?

Though the Genpei family head had some latent skills, years of inactivity had dulled his abilities. Under the captain's fierce assault, he found no opportunity to form hand seals.

As he leapt sideways to evade a direct thrust from the captain's blade—

Suddenly!

The Genpei family head's body froze in place, as if his consciousness had been forcibly extracted. No matter how hard his brain tried to issue commands, his body remained unresponsive, like a machine that had shut down.

The captain adjusted the angle of his blade slightly upward and drove it straight into the Genpei family head's heart.

Splurt!

As a crimson bloom erupted, the Genpei family head's consciousness began to fade. In his final moments, he 'saw' two young figures walking leisurely through the doorway.

One of them had striking, fiery red hair.

"That Kazekage... truly is a..."

The Genpei family head managed only a fleeting thought before his awareness vanished completely.

"Well, well!"

"Sasori!"

"Why make such a bloody mess? Anyone who didn't know better would think this was a slaughterhouse!"

"Look at these chunks of flesh—stuck all over the chests..."

Sōmi glanced around the scene and began teasing.

Sasori shot Sōmi a brief, indifferent look before replying, "You do it, then."

With a casual wave of his left hand, Sasori manipulated the captain of the guards to stab his own heart.

"Hey! Hey! Hey!"

"Sasori! Making him commit suicide like that is way too suspicious!"

"What are we supposed to say later?"

"That he stabbed himself in the heart and we suspect foul play?"

Sōmi complained.

"Exactly. He died from foul play," Sasori replied matter-of-factly, nodding in agreement.

"Enough with the chatter! Clean this up quickly. We still have important tasks to attend to back in the village," Sasori urged, unusually impatient.

"Alright, alright..."

Hearing this, Sōmi's expression turned serious. His earlier teasing had been just that—teasing.

After all, in the shinobi world, power determined one's voice. The Daimyō's court was no longer in any position to pose a threat to Sunagakure.

If they failed to grasp this reality, today's events would not be the last of their kind.

Sōmi retrieved several large Sealing Scrolls he had prepared in advance. Forming a quick series of hand seals, he summoned thin gusts of wind to blow the chunks of flesh off the treasure chests before sealing everything into the scrolls.

Even the vast wealth accumulated by the Daimyō's court over the years had been taken by Sasori and Sōmi.

The sheer affluence of the court was enough to shock even Sōmi, who wielded Magnet Release: Gold Sand.

Leaving such a fortune in the hands of these idle and incompetent officials would have been a colossal waste.

In truth, Sōmi had even considered dismantling the palace and selling it for funds. However, the hassle of finding a wealthy and interested buyer deterred him.

It wasn't out of concern for the Daimyō's reputation—after all, Sōmi had already identified a chubby, squint-eyed successor. Following a brief 'physical negotiation,' the man would certainly have no objections.

The real issue was that selling the palace would require too much time, and Sōmi wasn't willing to waste it.

...

Sunagakure, Kazekage's Office

The Third Kazekage sat behind his desk, a stern expression on his face as he reviewed the report Sōmi had submitted.

Before the desk, Sōmi and Sasori stood silently, with over a dozen thick Sealing Scrolls laid out in front of them, each as large as a human head.

After a long moment, the Third Kazekage exhaled deeply.

"Regardless, we've taken the step we needed to take."

His tone carried a hint of apprehension.

"But judging by the results, this operation was undoubtedly the right move!"

"With this immense fortune and enough time to develop, there's no reason we can't rise to the top of the shinobi world!"

As his gaze fell upon the scrolls on the floor, a glimmer of excitement flickered in his eyes, and his tone grew increasingly fervent.

After all, everything he had done was for the sole purpose of advancing Sunagakure. He firmly believed that only under Sunagakure's leadership could the Land of Wind achieve true prosperity.

If they had continued to follow the Daimyō's approach, the Land of Wind's strength would have plummeted into irrelevance.

"Sōmi, in your opinion, how should the village proceed from here?"

The Third Kazekage's eyes burned with intensity as he looked at Sōmi.

"Now that the war is nearing its end, this is the best time for our village to develop."

"The first priority is to encourage childbirth!"

"Announce economic subsidies for every family raising children, with the amount based on the number of children."

"Every child must be enrolled in the ninja academy, where their talents can be fully nurtured."

"Establish orphanages to take in orphans and abandoned infants, who will be sent to the academy when they reach the appropriate age."

"And introduce a new course in the academy—'The Will of the Wind.'"

"Hmm?"

The Third Kazekage raised an eyebrow at the mention of orphanages but did not object. He knew that his student, too, was an orphan.

Had it not been for the old monks at the temple who took him in, Sunagakure would have lost a talent capable of altering the course of history...

However, when he heard the term "The Will of the Wind," the Kazekage let out a curious hum, signaling his confusion.
