Chapter 79: 《God-Tier Kazekage: Building》Chapter 79: A New Storm
Boom!
A massive cloud of white smoke erupted, revealing a coiled, crimson body within.
The giant snake's unique striped crown and single eye added an extra layer of ferocity to its intimidating presence.
"Sōmi?"
"What's on the menu this time?"
"Last time's roasted hawk eggs and lamb were delicious..."
After being fed for some time, it was clear that Sōmi had gradually won over this colossal serpent with his culinary offerings.
"Shinga, this time I need your strength!"
"See that limp worm over there? Take it down!"
Standing atop the earthen wall, Sōmi slightly raised his head and explained to Shinga.
"That worm? No problem!"
"Watch me!"
Shinga flicked its dark purple tongue, revealing its gaping maw and two sharp fangs.
It was as if its innate savagery had been reawakened, and its battle spirit surged instantly.
Fighting on the battlefield was something Shinga inherently enjoyed.
"Not so fast!"
Sōmi clasped his hands together.
From the Starfall Rod, a massive wave of gold sand suddenly burst forth, rising like a river reversing its flow, forming a colossal golden blanket that enveloped Shinga.
"Huh?"
Curiosity flashed in Shinga's single eye. Soon, the gold sand condensed on its surface into a gleaming golden armor that perfectly fit its body. Two thick, spiraling golden horns rose from its head.
In an instant, Shinga seemed to undergo a transformation, as though it had ascended from serpent to dragon. The golden armor and horns gave it an imposing presence, and under the sunlight, its entire body shimmered with radiant brilliance.
"Whoa~"
Shinga twisted its body excitedly, clearly pleased with its new appearance.
Roar!
The next moment, Shinga coiled its body tightly and then launched itself like a spring, hurtling toward Captain Kitagawa's summoned creature.
The worm-like creature showed no fear—though, given its peculiar anatomy, it was impossible to tell where its eyes were, let alone discern its emotions.
From its chrysanthemum-like mouth, lined with countless tiny blades, the worm sprayed a stream of corrosive green liquid.
Sizzle!
When droplets of the liquid splashed onto the water's surface, thick green smoke immediately billowed up.
But Shinga merely tilted its head mid-charge to dodge, allowing the poison to spray onto its gleaming golden armor instead.
The venom clung to the armor, struggling to adhere, but the surface of the golden plating was exceptionally smooth. Most of the venom slid off helplessly, dripping into the water below.
The water beneath Shinga began to bubble and churn, emitting green vapor.
Yet aside from a few tiny holes in its golden armor, Shinga remained completely unharmed.
Seeing this, Shinga's ferocious expression intensified. During its charge, it lowered its head, aiming its two golden horns directly at the worm-like creature.
Standing atop the worm, Captain Kitagawa and his men were stunned by Shinga's overwhelming momentum. They hastily performed Water Release techniques in an attempt to intercept it.
Sōmi glanced at the scene and decided that Shinga could hold its ground for a while.
He then shifted his focus to the rest of the battlefield.
The situation appeared to be tipping in Sunagakure's favor. Over two hundred Sunagakure shinobi were desperately retreating toward the earthen fortress wall that Sōmi had created.
Sōmi manipulated the gold sand to assist those being blocked by enemies.
Soon, one by one, the Sunagakure shinobi climbed over the wall to safety.
During this time, a few reckless Mist shinobi launched Water Release techniques to attack Sōmi, only to have their efforts effortlessly neutralized.
Gradually, the Mist shinobi closed in on Sōmi's position.
Sōmi didn't hesitate. His hands began to move rapidly.
In his One-Tail Chakra Mode, his hand seals were so fast that they seemed to create overlapping afterimages. The afterimages slowly merged, appearing as multiple pairs of Sōmi's hands—a testament to his incredible speed.
As Sōmi's hands suddenly clasped together, the Starfall Rod behind him seemed to be lifted by an invisible thread, flying directly to the spot between him and the Mist shinobi. It began to spin slowly.
Chakra surged out of Sōmi like a flood, pouring forth uncontrollably. He let out a low shout, "Magnet Release: Violent Blade Wild Dance!"
Meanwhile, inside the sealed space...
Shukaku's body stiffened abruptly as it felt a massive portion of its Chakra being drawn away.
"Hey! You brat!"
"Take it easy!"
"My Chakra isn't infinite, you know!"
Standing on the water's surface, Shukaku let its arms hang loosely, looking somewhat foolish as it gazed at Sōmi, who was forming seals in front of it.
Its tone, however, remained far from friendly.
"Don't worry, I've got it under control!"
"And you should learn how to manage large amounts of Chakra. I might have a big gift for you!"
"Let's see if you can handle it when the time comes..."
Sōmi replied without turning his head.
Outside the sealed space, with the combined power of Sōmi and the Starfall Rod's Chakra...
The spinning Starfall Rod accelerated sharply, releasing a massive amount of gold sand.
Soon, accompanied by a low humming sound, the gold sand formed a towering golden tornado, tens of meters high. As the tornado expanded, it began to draw up water from below, mixing it into its swirling mass.
The tornado seemed to be surrounded by countless fine golden wind blades. These blades sliced the drawn-up water into tiny droplets, which then fell back to the ground like a gentle spring rain.
The massive tornado, connecting heaven and earth, roared violently as it swept toward the Mist shinobi.
"What? This?!"
"Who is this guy?"
"This kind of godlike technique—how is it even possible?!"
Some Mist shinobi at the forefront stared blankly at the colossal tornado that filled their entire field of vision, muttering in despair.
But the approaching tornado showed no mercy to its enemies. The powerful winds engulfed the Mist shinobi who had lost their will to resist.
"Ah! Ah..."
The Mist shinobi let out blood-curdling screams as they came into contact with the tornado's outer edges.
In an instant, before the echoes of their cries had faded, their bodies were shredded into countless fragments of flesh and bone. The bloody remnants were carried away by the wind, disappearing without a trace.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
The sound of sand and wind roared with fury and mockery, mingling with the wails and cries of the Mist shinobi.
The golden tornado rampaged across the battlefield. Though some Mist shinobi tried to counter it with Water Release techniques, their efforts proved utterly futile.
