God-Tier Kazekage: Building the Ultimate Hidden Sand Village

Chapter 78: 《God-Tier Kazekage: Building》Chapter 78: The First Summoning Battle

"Shukaku! Wake up!"

Inside the sealed space, Sōmi stood before Shukaku, shouting loudly.

However, Shukaku remained sprawled on its back, resembling some kind of feline in a peculiar sleeping posture.

Its body had recovered significantly. While it hadn't yet returned to its usual plump and round form, it was far better than its previously weakened state.

Seeing that his calls were futile, Sōmi had no choice but to form a series of hand seals with both hands.

Clang!

"Huh?!"

Shukaku's eyes snapped wide open as if jolted by electricity. Its body trembled violently before it quickly flipped over.

In front of it stood Sōmi, swinging a thick silver chain in his hand. The chain whistled through the air, occasionally sparking with crackles of electricity.

Shukaku crouched low before Sōmi, its face pressed against the watery surface of the sealed space, its rump raised high.

"Shukaku, didn't we already agree to cooperate?"

"I need your Chakra now."

"You weren't waking up no matter how much I called, so I thought I'd help myself..."

Sōmi said with a sly grin.

Shukaku's gaze fixed on the shimmering silver chain, its spikes glinting with metallic light and electricity. Its body seemed to recall a particularly unpleasant memory.

It shook its head vigorously and said, "If you just need my Chakra, there's no need to go through all that trouble. Here, take it!"

Shukaku propped itself up on its hands, then slowly extended a clenched fist toward Sōmi. Whether from nervousness or fear, Sōmi couldn't help but notice how stiff Shukaku's movements seemed.

...

Outside the sealed space, Sōmi stood atop a golden cloud shooting forward, surrounded by a dense, fluid-like yellow aura of Chakra.

He turned to Scorpion, who stood beside him with an indifferent expression, and grumbled, "I shouldn't have sent you over! You nearly ruined everything!"

"You really need to fix that bad habit of yours—being so impatient. Missions aren't something you can just do however you like!"

"And that Genpei clan leader sure got lucky, running into such a massive sandstorm. Looks like we'll have to deal with them next time!"

"Quick! I'll handle things here, you take care of the other side!"

With that, Sōmi waved his hand, and the golden cloud beneath his feet split into two. One half carried him eastward, while the other half bore Scorpion northward.

From the perspective of the burly Mist shinobi, a golden cloud suddenly appeared on the horizon, carried by the howling wind.

The cloud abruptly split into two in midair, heading in different directions. One of them was speeding straight toward him.

His masked subordinates, unable to contain themselves, launched an attack on Pakura.

But by now, the resolute expression on Pakura's face had been replaced with one of joy.

"Magnet Release: Gold Sand Drizzle!"

Suddenly, countless thumb-sized particles of gold sand began to rain down from the sky, covering an exceptionally wide area that nearly encompassed the entire battlefield.

Some of the more knowledgeable Sunagakure shinobi, upon seeing the golden cloud, cheered excitedly, "Lord Sōmi!"

"It's Sōmi?"

"Yes!"

In an instant, the morale of the Sunagakure forces surged. However, some of the older shinobi looked on with a mixture of surprise and doubt. In their memories, even Sōmi, who had mastered Magnet Release, had never demonstrated a technique of this magnitude.

Driven by the fierce winds, the gold sand particles veered toward the Mist shinobi.

In the area directly in front of Pakura, the gold sand became even denser and more aggressive, halting the advancing Mist shinobi.

With a loud whoosh, Sōmi leapt down from the golden cloud, landing in front of Pakura.

"You... Are you Sōmi?"

Pakura's beautiful eyes widened. The figure before her seemed familiar, but the layer of Chakra flowing around him was completely different from the Sōmi she remembered.

"Yes!"

"Lead your troops to retreat!"

"Tend to the injured first. Those who are still able should head to the northern front to provide support."

"I'll handle things here!"

Sōmi didn't turn around, but his voice alone was enough to earn Pakura's trust.

Pakura nodded lightly and ran toward the other side of the battlefield.

Sōmi's expression remained cold as he gazed at the Mist shinobi with a look that could only be described as seeing dead men.

"Magnet Release: Sand Binding Coffin!"

He extended his right hand forward, fingers spread wide.

Instantly, any Mist shinobi whose bodies were touched by the gold sand particles found those particles rapidly spreading across their surfaces.

At the same time, the falling gold sand seemed to be drawn to them, converging on their bodies.

In the blink of an eye, dozens of Mist shinobi were completely encased in gold sand.

Sōmi clenched his right hand tightly.

Crunch!

The gold sand particles compressed inward with sudden force, twisting the bodies inside into mangled shapes. Blood sprayed out from tiny gaps in the sand, splattering a considerable distance.

However, a few quick-reacting shinobi managed to escape by substituting themselves with water clones.

Without pause, Sōmi quickly formed hand seals and slammed both hands onto the ground.

"Earth Release: Earth Flow Fortress Wall!"

Boom!

A long, towering earthen wall rose from the water, cutting off the Mist shinobi's advance.

Standing atop the wall, Sōmi looked down at the burly Mist shinobi with an air of dominance.

"Captain Kitagawa..."

"This guy is no ordinary opponent, should we—?"

The masked Mist shinobi who had escaped the gold sand attack regrouped around their leader.

But the burly Captain Kitagawa's face darkened. He snapped coldly, "Are you thinking of running away?"

"Don't forget the Mizukage's orders!"

"And don't forget the dire situation our village is in right now!"

"If we lose this battle, even if we return to the village, we'll be nothing but dead men walking—disgraced criminals!"

Kitagawa's icy gaze swept over his subordinates, forcing them to lower their heads under his oppressive stare. Only then did he shift his focus back to Sōmi.

That Chakra cloak...

As one of the Third Mizukage's most trusted subordinates, Kitagawa had access to many of the shinobi world's secrets. Yet the Chakra cloak enveloping Sōmi still struck him as extraordinarily unique.

It reminded him of something he had read in records about Jinchūriki...

Kitagawa's rugged face grew increasingly solemn.

When did Sunagakure gain such power...?

All the more reason to destroy it as soon as possible.

Kitagawa's chaotic thoughts flickered briefly before his resolve hardened once again.

Without hesitation, he bit his right thumb and formed a series of hand seals.

"Summoning Technique!"

Poof!

White smoke billowed as Kitagawa and his men appeared atop a massive worm-like creature.

Unlike ordinary earthworms, this giant creature had a cylindrical body several meters thick, its surface a faintly glowing yellowish hue. Its body was covered in mottled black spots, and its mouth was filled with rows of sharp, menacing teeth.

Sōmi extended his right hand upward, catching a spinning rod as it descended from the sky.

The earlier rain of gold sand had been created using the Starfall Rod.

Seeing the enemy summon a massive creature, Sōmi smirked. He had been itching to test out a certain someone.

After drawing blood on his palm with his Chakra, Sōmi crossed his hands and formed seals.

"Boar, Dog, Rooster, Monkey, Ram!"

"Summoning Technique!"
