Getting a Sugar Mommy in Cultivation World!!

Chapter 713: Project SwarmNet and The Agitated Five Sects

Everyone except Helena started to leave the room through the front door. While passing by her, Stella glanced at her with her teeth silently grinding against each other and jealousy brimming in her eyes.

Helena acted as if she was not even there and ignored her burning gaze, even when Saksha looked at her with her classic droopy yet limpid eyes and a knowing smile before skipping after Song Liu with a playful look in her eyes.

"What are your orders, Your Holiness?" Helena lowered her head as the priestess climbed down the stairs slowly; with each step, her figure turned a little faded.

"Have you started working on the new series of your Project Swarmnet?" The woman inquired amiably, and Helena's next word did not disappoint her at all.

"I already started working on it the moment Hemes revealed his failure and the identity of that cultivator named Noah." Helena raised her heterochromatic eyes; one of her eyes was focused on the woman before her, and the green eye she had placed in the mechanical mask moved left and right listlessly.

Through the mask, she could see the satisfied look flashing in the priestess's eyes. Helena had always been diligent with her work, and the priestess always appreciated her efforts.

While speaking, Helena raised her right hand. The bird that had been previously perched up on the shoulder had been crushed and fallen to the ground when the priestess had unleashed her anger in the form of a pressure.

As she twisted her wrist, a small, thumb-sized centipede crawled up from the inside of her robes and rested on her palm; its countless legs rose up in the air and released swarms and swarms of countless micro-sized bugs that no normal human could even see with their naked eyes.

"I have thought of some upgrades while working with them before but never really got to apply them as I never thought they would be needed." She tilted her head at the priestess as if to ask why they would need something like this now.

"Once you are done upgrading them, how much change and increment will there be in the functions and the abilities of your little spies?" The masked woman did not get close to the bugs and watched them from the distance with her narrowed eyes.

The bugs were as thin as a hair, and they had no main body, just some limbs attached together like a black spider or a ball of thin hair but very small in size.

"Once I am done playing with them…" Helena's breathing suddenly got heavy, and she started showing emotions more than she showed combined at the meeting; her droopy, obsessed eyes flashed towards the bugs as they moved under her control and went back into the centipede. "…not even someone with the strongest soul sense on the entire Red Fire continent would be able to find them unless they are actively looking for this thing."

"I will add…" She went on narrating all the features she had thought of adding into the device, making the priestess step back a little, overwhelmed by her energy.

But even then she listened to everything Helena had to say because now she had one more thing she had to be wary of. Even though her subordinates were loyal to the cause, they were not emotionless, and some of them even had more than a normal amount of obsession for her.

If one of them got their hands on this bug, she would not be surprised if she found one in her bedroom or her bathroom.

"Once you are done making them, I want you to send them to locate that Noah and have them keep tabs on him." Once Helena was done speaking, the priestess took over the conversation smoothly.

"But you just said that he was not someone whom we need to be wary of." Helena tilted her head, back to her emotionless self. The change was a stark contrast to her image, so much so that her obsessive looks felt like mere illusions. "Why—"

"Because he has already meddled with our cult more than once, and clearly he has a way to counter the hypnotic abilities our lord has bestowed upon us." The woman walked towards the lingering image of Noah in front of Helena and focused on Noah's face. "I want to know what he is up to and how much he knows about us. If you manage to find a weakness and all of his trump cards, that would be even better."

"Because whether we like it or not, he is one of the major obstructions that we might face before we can make our plans come to fruition." Whispering to herself, the priestess walked right through the holographic image of Noah in a battle with a solemn look in her jade green eyes.

Tap! Tap!

Left alone in the room, Helena shrugged her shoulders and disappeared.

Once she stepped out of the throne room, the priestess's eyes landed on the beautiful tree in the distance, and they narrowed in content.

'Oh, how I look forward to seeing the day this jinx of an ill-omened falls.' She sneered in her mind, thinking of how the elves worship the tree as if it was their god; her eyes shone with a dangerous glint. 'What divine world tree? This little thing cannot even save itself.'

With one last glance, she turned around and walked deeper inside the castle as the other members of the Red Dawn cult walked around, taking control over it little by little.

Deep underneath the surface of the castle, several layers beneath the impenetrable stones and metal-reinforced walls, was the prison of the elves. The elves who went against the laws of the royal family were punished in this place, but now that very royal family was being trapped here.

Inside one of the dark cells, a frail-looking, disheveled, and unkempt-looking elven woman sat against the wall hugging her legs with one arm while grabbing the bars of the only window in the hold with all of her strength.

Her tear-stained, dirty cheeks were leaning on her shoulder as she watched the sun set down into the endless ocean, disappearing from sight. No matter how much time passed, only one thought remained on her mind: "My Sylvy… wherever you are—don't come back…" Her words, fainter than a whisper, were blown away with the cold wind.

Yet she hoped they reached the person she wanted them to reach.

Feng Empire, the capital city.

Ever since Noah left, Wuhan had been staying in the Empire to handle the workload that suddenly fell on him. Even though he sometimes went back to teach his disciples when they returned to the sect, he was in the royal castle most of the time.

He had managed to take control of the entire empire. All the sub-kingdoms around his empire were now in his grasp.

He even sent Tian Heng back as a courtesy to his father, and they, having no qualms, surrendered to his empire, giving up the title of an empire. Now the Tian Ren Empire was merely the Tian Ren Kingdom.

His actions did not go unnoticed by the sects, and they realized that it won't be long before Wuhan would target them next.

So all five major sects secretly contacted each other and thought it was time for them to have a secret meeting to discuss what they were going to do with Wuhan.

"This has gone out of hand!" Inside a well-room, all five heads of the great sects were gathered at one table. The last time it happened was under the jurisdiction of Wuhan.

The person who broke the stillness of the conversation first was Hong Mei, the head of the alchemy pavilion. As usual, she could not control her fiery temperament and slammed her fists on the table before her. "We allowed him to dictate the terms of the trade and the major rules since he was the ruler of this place and the strong man here."

Clenching her fist enough to turn her knuckles white, she bellowed in frustration and anger. "Now he wants to own us? Does he think I will submit to anyone just because they are stronger than me?!"

The corners of the table and the armrests of the chairs burned from her scorching aura.

"How unbecoming of a lady!" XingJian brushed her hands across her silky black robes and looked at the red-headed woman with undisguised disdain as she whispered under her breath. "What else can anyone expect from someone like her anyway?"

"You!" Her words did not go unheard by the red-haired sect mistress, since the mistress of the Sound of Heaven Sect spoke loud enough to make sure she heard her words. "Come on, bitch, I will take you on right now and show you what kind of woman I am!"

The burly buffoon San Ji and the benevolent-looking old Quian Yu watched the fight unfold with uninterested looks on their faces. San Ji fingered his left ear with a bored look on his face, slamming it with force from time to time, picking out some dirt stuck in there when he could have used his qi to remove it.

While the old man silently chewed on his sweets as he listened to the two women bicker with his sleepy, half-closed eyes.

Just when things kept escalating, Chen Wuji had enough of the drama and interjected sharply. "Enough! If that is your behavior at a time like this, it would be better to just hand your sect to the Emperor."
