Genshin Impact: I Became The Son Of Greater Lord Rukkhadevata

Chapter 10: Chapter 10: Subduing The Gorgon

At this moment, Yu looked like a small, charred figure, sighing quietly to himself.

"Things just keep getting worse… but, hey, that fiery explosion was kind of fun."

In the Desert

"So, you came looking for me?" The Scarlet King asked, gazing at the prince before him.

"Yeah, things at home have been… tense. My mom's been giving me the stink eye for days. I figured I'd crash here for a while. Don't worry—I'm useful."

"Well, fine. I'll let you stay for a few days, though my high priest wasn't too happy the last time you visited."

"It's fine. He can have all the opinions he wants; I don't care."

"But he does."

"Alright, I won't bring anyone along this time. I'll just go explore by myself."

"It's better if you take someone with you."

"Come on, I'm not that destructive, am I?"

"The desert ecosystem is fragile. I'm just worried you'll cause some… incident."

"Is my reputation really that bad?"

"No idea. It's all just hearsay. Whatever people say, that's your reputation."

Yu fell silent, deep in thought.

He eventually settled down in the Scarlet King's palace, where he approached a rather handsome desert dweller and asked, "Hey, do you guys have any giant beasts or demon gods lurking around here? You know, dangerous monsters?"

The handsome desert dweller thought for a moment before replying, "Actually, yeah. There's talk about a serpent-haired witch in the western desert. They say any creature that meets her gaze turns to stone."

Hearing this, Yu instantly perked up. "A gorgon?!"

The desert dweller flinched, startled by Yu's sudden excitement. "Y-Yeah…"

"Is she beautiful?"

"…(Why is that his focus?) Uh, people say she's very… alluring."

"Where is she? I'm going to… uh, take care of her."

"I don't know exactly."

"Fine. I'll figure it out myself."

Yu hoisted a long, thick wooden spear, its tip sharp and pointed. Striking a heroic pose reminiscent of ancient Greek statues, he hurled the spear forward with impressive precision. The spear flew beautifully through the air, landing right on target.

Before him lay the captured serpent-haired witch, bound tightly by vines and the spear. Her upper body was that of a human, while her lower half was a long, serpentine tail. Her hair was composed of countless writhing snakes. Despite the grotesque nature of her hair, her face was stunningly beautiful, with an alluring, enchanting charm. Bound as she was, her curvaceous figure was even more striking—if only her head full of snakes didn't ruin the image.

Yu was slightly taken aback. He wasn't sure how to handle her, but since she was already captured…

"Oh, my little darling, are you planning to take my life?" the serpent-haired witch cooed in a sultry voice, her tone dripping with seduction.

Yu found himself at a loss for words. What's with this tone?! He quickly created a grass-element blindfold and covered her eyes before daring to continue the conversation.

"Ah, you like playing like this? How thrilling! Given how strong you already are, isn't this a bit too much? Aren't you afraid I can't handle it?"

"Is this how you usually lure people in?" Yu asked, unimpressed.

"What's wrong? Don't like it? Come on, you won't really kill me, will you? I'll do anything you want. Anything." Her voice grew even more seductive, the kind that could make an ordinary person's heart race uncontrollably.

Yu, however, found the whole act infuriating. He had originally planned to toy with her a bit before finishing her off, but now… he was tempted to spare her life, just out of spite.

"Little brother, are you tempted? Why don't you come closer and untie me? This position is quite uncomfortable."

Yu's expression darkened at her words. Little brother? Who's your little brother?

"What's up with your eyes?" he asked coldly.

"If you let me go, I'll tell you everything. Not just that—I'll give myself to you completely."

Yu pulled a sharp wooden spike from his waistband but paused, realizing that she couldn't see him. Instead, he tightened the vines binding her.

"Ah! Stop, that hurts!"

"Talk, or I'll show you what real madness looks like."

Yu decided he'd fight fire with fire. Seduction? Fine. Let's see who can take it further. He manipulated the vines to tighten around her body, ensuring not a single snake on her head was left untouched.

"Ah! Stop, please! I'll talk, I'll talk!" The serpent-haired witch finally gave in.

Yu halted his actions, sneering inwardly. Hmph, coward.

"It's a curse from the heavens. I was once the most beautiful woman on this land, but she stole my beauty…"

"Who are you trying to fool?"

"Alright, alright! I messed up, and someone cursed me."

"That sounds more believable. So, if you die, does the curse end?"

"I can't die."

"Then why were you so afraid earlier when I threatened to kill you?"

"Who would willingly play with death?"

Suddenly, the serpent-haired witch winced in pain. "Ow! Little brother, be gentle!"

Yu felt disgusted. Ugh, I can't deal with this.

"Fine. Let's see what's really going on." He removed the blindfold covering her eyes.

The serpent-haired witch opened her eyes wide, only to see… her head had been separated from her body.

"AAAAAHHH! What are you doing?! Put me back together! Hurry, or I'm done for!"

"Relax. You won't die. Also, shut your mouth, or I'll fuse your body with mine. You know I can do that."

Recalling Yu's terrifying power to devour anything, the serpent-haired witch broke into a cold sweat.

"Based on what you said, you originally had a human-like body. If you make me happy, I might just create one for you."

"Really?" Her eyes lit up with hope, twinkling like stars—though no one dared look directly at them.

"Maybe."

"Hmph. Using your mouth is something I've never tried before, but if it pleases you…"

"AAAAAHHH! You ate my body!"
