Game Of Thrones : Merchant of Two Worlds

Chapter 108: 108. The company layout is complete

Jiang Chuchu looked at Jason Liu with a smirk. "Mr. Liu, do you really believe in those useless motivational quotes?"

Jason laughed inwardly. Of course, he didn't believe in them! But now, he wasn't an ordinary employee anymore—he was the boss. He couldn't just tear down his own morale. "It's not about whether I believe it or not. It's about encouragement! Young people shouldn't be too cynical. You need long-term goals, dreams—don't you agree?"

Jiang Chuchu rolled her eyes dramatically. "Sure, Mr. Liu, whatever you say. Anyway, here's the bill for today's expenses—cleaning, desks, chairs, and so on. Check it over, and if it's fine, please sign and transfer the payment."

Jason took the list and quickly reviewed it. Everything seemed reasonable, so he signed it and transferred the money from the company account.

Standing outside the company building, Jason looked at the brand-new sign: Fusion trading Co., Ltd. Seeing it gave him a surge of pride.

Today, his journey as a businessman truly began.

Jiang stood beside him, staring at the sign before speaking up. "Mr. Liu, I've already posted the job openings on the recruitment website under the company's name. Do you want to review it?"

She paused and added, "Oh, and by the way, we need to pay for the job postings. Also, I strongly suggest hiring a financial officer soon. Otherwise, managing all the expenses will be a huge headache."

Jiang Chuchu's expression brightened as she made another suggestion. "How about my friend Xiaohan? She's a certified accountant and currently works at a bank. Her job is stable but boring—she's practically living like a retiree! She's not happy there."

Jason hesitated. "Do you think Lin Xiaohan would leave such a stable and well-paying job to join our small, newly-established company? Banking jobs were so competitive when we graduated, and most people couldn't even get in."

"She might," Jiang replied confidently. "I mentioned it to her before. She didn't agree outright, but she didn't say no either. Why don't you try asking her?"

"Alright, I'll message her on WeChat when I have time," Jason nodded, feeling a bit excited at the thought of Lin Xiaohan joining his team. Having such a capable—and beautiful—subordinate would certainly make his workplace more pleasant.

Jiang Chuchu grinned. "Good! In the meantime, would you like to check out your office? If you're unhappy with anything, let me know, and I'll fix it."

She led Jason into the general manager's office.

The room was modest—about 30 square meters, smaller than his bathroom back home. It had a sturdy red wooden desk, a sleek black executive chair, and a row of filing cabinets. A pair of guest sofas and a small glass table sat in the corner. Green potted plants by the window gave the space a touch of life.

Jason nodded in approval. "This is fine. I probably won't spend much time here once things get busy anyway."

Satisfied, Jiang Chuchu showed him the conference room next. A large table occupied the center, with chairs arranged neatly on both sides. A projector screen was mounted on the wall behind the main seat.

She then explained the office layout. "This is the finance department, which is the most secure area—we've even installed a special door for added protection. The remaining space is divided into three departments: personnel management, purchasing, and sales. Each has its own designated area, separated by walkways."

Jason was impressed. "Good work. Let's keep it like this for now. If we need changes later, we'll adjust."

Returning to his office, Jason sat down as Jiang Chuchu placed a laptop on his desk.

"Mr. Liu, we've already received a few resumes from the job ad. Do you want to start interviews today?" she asked, turning the laptop screen toward him.

Jason skimmed through the resumes and nodded. "Let's focus on hiring a human resources manager, a purchasing manager, and someone for the finance department first. I'll check if Lin Xiaohan is interested in joining us. For now, schedule interviews for these two positions this afternoon. Later hires can be handled by the HR manager and department heads."

"Got it!" Jiang Chuchu noted his instructions and began making calls.

By noon, their work was done for the day. Jason decided to reward Jiang Chuchu's hard work.

"Let's grab some lunch. My treat," he said, grabbing his car keys and heading out.

Jiang Chuchu locked the office door and hurried after him in her high heels.

They didn't go far, settling on a hot pot restaurant nearby.

As they were getting seated, Lin Xiaohan walked in unexpectedly.

"What a coincidence! Lin Xiaohan, you're here too?" Jason greeted her warmly, surprised to see her.

Lin Xiaohan, dressed in a smart black business suit, carried herself with elegance and confidence. "You two are eating here?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.

Jiang Chuchu giggled and held up her phone. "I invited her. I thought it'd be fun if we all ate together!"

Jason didn't mind. The three of them sat together and waited for the hot pot to boil.

"Lin Xiaohan," Jason began, getting straight to the point, "our company is looking for a financial manager. Would you be interested in joining us?"

Lin Xiaohan seemed hesitant, but before she could answer, Jiang Chuchu cut in.

"Why does Lin Xiaohan get to be the financial manager while I'm stuck as a sales clerk? That's not fair!"

Jason shrugged. "The finance department requires professional expertise, and Lin Xiaohan has two years of experience in accounting. Besides, we don't even need a sales manager right now, so there's no position to fill."

"Hmph! You're so biased," Jiang Chuchu pouted. "I worked so hard this morning, and you're already playing favorites!"

Jason chuckled but ignored her complaints. As they chatted and laughed, the hot pot finally began to bubble, filling the air with delicious aromas.
