Game Of Thrones : Merchant of Two Worlds

Chapter 103: 103. Seniors, please join

Jiang Chuchu held a fork in her hand and asked, "How many people are you planning to hire?"

Jason Liu thought for a moment. Drawing from his experience at a small company he once worked for, he replied, "We should have a purchasing department, a sales department, an administrative management department, a finance department, and a legal department. We can hire about ten people. What do you think?"

He wasn't entirely sure if that number was sufficient.

Right now, Yuansen Trading Company could help him by purchasing daily necessities and other goods. In the future, there might be a wider range of materials needed, and he couldn't manage everything on his own. That's why he decided to start a trading company.

After all, he didn't have to worry about sales; his focus would be on acquiring materials. Of course, as of May 20, the raw materials like wood and ores he brought back from Westeros also needed to be sold by the company. As long as the prices were lower than the market rates, they should sell well.

"If you were to hire a sales manager, how about me?" Jiang Chuchu looked at Jason Liu, her eyes sparkling with hope. "I've performed really well in our company, and I'm good at talking to customers!"

Lin Xiaohan, surprised, glanced at her friend. "Chuchu, are you really thinking about moving to his company?"

Jason Liu was taken aback as well. He hadn't expected Jiang Chuchu to consider joining his small business.

To him, it was a small company, but to Jiang Chuchu, a company with a registered capital of 10 million was quite significant. Plus, Jason Liu had amassed a considerable net worth in a short time. After spending some time together, Jiang Chuchu was frustrated that Jason Liu didn't seem to notice her charm, but she still trusted his character.

Compared to staying at her agency job, where she earned a monthly salary of over 10,000 yuan with no future prospects, she felt optimistic about Jason Liu's trading business. After thinking it over for a long time last night, she decided she wanted to resign and follow him.

"If you want to come, I would be happy to have you! After all, I'm just getting started with my company, and I need all the help I can get!" Jason Liu said. He appreciated Jiang Chuchu's willingness to join him, seeing her as a capable person who could handle various tasks.

"Yay! Did you really agree?" Jiang Chuchu beamed with joy.

"You can join my company, but don't expect to be the sales manager right away," Jason Liu said firmly. "If you come on board, you'll start as a junior clerk in the sales department. If you do well, there will be opportunities for promotions and raises in the future!"

He glanced at her and asked, "So, do you still want to join?"

Jiang Chuchu hesitated, biting her lip as she asked, "What's the salary for that position?"

Jason Liu replied, "We'll provide meal allowances, transportation allowances, housing allowances, five types of insurance and a housing fund, as well as overtime pay. The base salary will be 6,000 yuan a month, plus a year-end bonus!"

He eagerly detailed the compensation package.

Jiang Chuchu began to do some mental calculations. She would spend around 2,000 yuan per month on rent, 1,500 yuan on meals, and a few hundred on transportation. This didn't even factor in expenses for clothes and cosmetics. With her current salary from the agency, saving 3,000 yuan each month was difficult.

If she joined Jason Liu's company, the meal, transportation, and housing subsidies would be covered. With a monthly salary of 6,000 yuan, even after buying clothes and cosmetics and enjoying some entertainment, she thought she might still save around 3,000 yuan—roughly the same amount as her current salary.

For a moment, Jiang Chuchu felt confused. Should she stay at her familiar agency job to build her credentials, or should she take a risk and join Jason Liu's company for a fresh start?

Meanwhile, Lin Xiaohan listened to the salary package Jason Liu offered and couldn't help but gasp. This compensation was even higher than what she earned working at a bank!

She earned just over 5,000 yuan a month at the bank. Although the benefits were great, they didn't seem significantly better than Jason Liu's offer! It made her seriously consider quitting her job too.

Jason Liu sipped his vegetable soup casually, waiting for Jiang Chuchu to make her decision. He wasn't worried about not being able to find employees. With such a competitive compensation package, even fresh graduates from top universities would be eager to sign on.

Moreover, he wasn't particularly interested in hiring highly educated talents. He just needed some hardworking individuals who would follow his lead!

He thought to himself about company structure, corporate culture, and professional qualifications. What was the point of all that? He was a middleman dealing in commodities between two worlds. As long as he could buy and sell, he would easily make huge profits. To him, everyone else in the company was just a tool earning a high salary, and it didn't matter to him if they resigned or left.

He was ready to welcome a new group of workers whenever needed. It was simple purchasing work, something anyone could do.

What Jason Liu needed was a team of honest and compliant employees. The entire company would follow his orders, and anyone who dared to question him would be fired on the spot. They could go wherever they wanted!

"I've decided to join, starting from the bottom as a salesperson!"

After a moment of thought, Jiang Chuchu said sincerely, "I'll go to my company tomorrow and resign. I want to work with you, Mr. Liu! And you'd better look after the junior staff in the future!"

At the end, Jiang Chuchu even winked playfully at Jason Liu.

"Let's focus and be serious," Jason Liu replied sternly. "You need to be professional around me from now on. I'll be your boss, and if you offend me, I might make your life difficult, you know?"

"Understood, Mr. Liu! I won't joke around with you anymore!" Jiang Chuchu feigned innocence.

Seeing the exchange, Lin Xiaohan laughed, bending over in amusement. It was amusing to watch Jason Liu suddenly take on the role of boss. Now it would be interesting to see if Jiang Chuchu would dare to joke with him again.

Jiang Chuchu felt thrilled that she had found a good opportunity. She began eagerly pouring tea and serving Jason Liu food, which left him speechless and trying to refuse.

"Isn't this ruining my image in front of Goddess Lin?" he thought.

But Jiang Chuchu didn't care about his rejections. Instead, she chatted happily with Lin Xiaohan.

"Xiaohan, why don't you resign from the bank as well? You're a certified public accountant. You could come to our company to manage the accounts."

Jiang Chuchu leaned in closer and whispered, "By the way, you should keep an eye on that certain guy. Don't let yourself get tangled up with any minor distractions!"
