Chapter 108: Chapter-105

As the airdrop opened, the first layer revealed a list of items contained within. Dom stepped out of his armor and approached the supply box. His eyes scanned the list of chip weapons and supplies, flickering with anticipation. Finally, near the end of the list, his gaze froze, and an expression of relief and surprise appeared on his face.

"Virus serum!" he exclaimed, pointing at the item with determination.

Horn smirked. "You're lucky," he said, his tone laced with amusement. He could tell that Dom must have a friend or relative infected by a vampire alien attack—why else would he focus solely on the serum, ignoring the rest of the valuable items?

Dom carefully opened the supply box, moving past other items until he retrieved a tube of glowing blue liquid. An instruction manual was attached below the vial.

[Virus Serum]Effect: Clears the vampire virus, restoring the individual to their original state, provided the brain remains undamaged.

Suppressing his excitement, Dom quickly returned to Brian and the Iron Air Force squad.

"I've got it! Let's go!" Dom announced.

Brian breathed a sigh of relief. "Finally! I thought we'd have to search the other airdrops."

The two wasted no time, leaving the rooftop and heading toward the modification shop.

Meanwhile, Horn remained by the supply box, his attention drawn to a smaller metal container. He picked it up and noticed the label:

[Level: Treasure]

[Combat Prediction Chip]

Effect: Predicts an opponent's next move by analyzing skeletal muscle movements.

Usage: Attach to the spine, between the shoulder blades.

Note: Removing or replacing the chip might affect your neural system. Be cautious with your "pet."

Intrigued, Horn opened the box to reveal a sleek, black, spider-like mechanical device. The small spider fit perfectly in his palm. Its abdomen housed the nanochip.

After a moment of hesitation, Horn followed the instructions and placed the mechanical spider on his back. As it touched his skin, eight tiny spikes extended and embedded into his spinal nerves.

The chip lit up, its nano-interface connecting to his neural system. A jolt ran through Horn's body, and his vision blurred momentarily. When he came to, the spider shifted to his shoulder and curled up like a pet.

"Brother Horn, are you okay?" Nalin, his young companion, asked with concern.

Horn turned toward Nalin, and suddenly, a glowing red overlay appeared in his vision. The movements of Nalin's muscles and bones projected a phantom image of his next action.

"Action prediction…" Horn muttered in amazement, still processing the advanced technology.

"Brother, what's wrong? Say something!" Nalin asked again, waving his hand in front of Horn's face.

"I'm fine," Horn replied, shaking himself out of his daze. "Let's pack up the rest and get out of here."

Together, the two quickly loaded their gear and descended the building.

Downstairs, they entered an abandoned office. Horn flicked on the lights and began unpacking. Among the supplies was a set of silver throwing knives.

"Look at this!" Nalin exclaimed, picking up the knives excitedly.

Horn rummaged further and found another metal box labeled:

[Level: Premium]

[Flying Knife Skill Chip]

Effect: Enhances accuracy and mastery over throwing knives.

Usage: Attach the included mechanical spider to the spine.

Nalin's eyes widened as he read the description. "Brother Horn, is this what you just did?"

"Exactly," Horn confirmed.

Without hesitation, Nalin followed the instructions. The silver spider automatically adjusted its position on his back before embedding the chip. Nalin shivered momentarily as the neural connection established itself.

Once it was done, he picked up a throwing knife, eager to test his newfound precision.

"Stab!" The knife struck the center of a clock hanging on the wall with pinpoint accuracy.

"Stab! Stab! Stab!" Nalin's arm moved like a blur as he hurled knives, each hitting its mark perfectly.

"This is incredible," Nalin murmured, staring at his hands in awe.

"Great. Now pick them up," Horn ordered with a smirk. "You're handling the monsters from now on."

Horn continued searching through the supplies until another item caught his attention:

[Level: Premium]

[Detection Chip]

Effect: Senses biological fluctuations within a one-kilometer radius.

Details: Comes pre-installed in a pair of glasses for immediate use.

As Horn examined the glasses, Nalin returned, his arms full of retrieved throwing knives.
