Chapter 8: Chapter 7 The discovery of the Wizard Tower
Ethan awoke suddenly from his light sleep when he felt a low growling sound outside the stone tower, as if some giant animal were approaching. He rose quickly and watched the door of the stone tower warily, holding a stone in his hand as a weapon of defense.
Ethan felt a wave of fear as the roar came closer, but he knew he couldn't back down. He decides to face it all and find the real answer in his dream.
Suddenly, the gate was flung open and a tall man appeared in the doorway. His face was angry and wary, and he held a long sword in his hand. His eyes scanned the stone tower and finally settled on Ethan.
"Who are you? Why did you break into the Wizard Tower?" The man asked sharply, with a watchful gleam in his eyes.
Ethan dropped the rock and tried to calm his voice. "My name is Ethan, and I... I just got lost and wanted somewhere to take shelter."
The man's eyes were still full of doubt, but he put down his sword and walked into the stone tower. "This is my master's tower, and I am his student. Why are you here?"
Ethan felt that the man was not hostile and relaxed a little. "I was lost in the forest and saw this tower and wanted to come in and see if I could find any clues."
The man nodded, his eyes flashed a thought, "This is the wizard tower, my master is the master of this tower." Were you in any danger before you came in?"
Ethan remembered the roar and nodded. "I heard the roar. I didn't know what was coming."
The man smiled, "That's one of my summoning beasts, responsible for protecting the tower and the surrounding forest." It seems he was only alarmed by your arrival."
Ethan was relieved, but he knew he still had a lot of questions to answer. "You mean, this tower is a wizard tower? Is your master a wizard?"
The man nodded, "Yes, my master is a powerful wizard, and I am his student, studying magic and alchemy. This pagoda is a place for our research and cultivation."
Ethan felt a rush of excitement; he had not expected to encounter such a scene in his dreams. He knew he had to seize the opportunity to find out more.
"Will you take me to your master?" Ethan asked, his eyes full of anticipation.
The man hesitated, but finally nodded, "Okay, I can take you to Master, but you have to follow our rules."
Ethan nodded gratefully. "Thank you. I'll comply."
The man turned to lead Ethan out of the stone tower, and Ethan was shocked by what he saw outside. The world was quite different from what he had imagined. There were all kinds of strange plants and animals in the forest, and several giant birds flying in the sky.
"This is an amazing place," Ethan exclaimed, his eyes wandering.
The man smiled. "This is a world full of magic and wonder. You will see many amazing things."
They walked along the path for some time until they came to a small village. The people in the village wear simple clothes and have kind smiles on their faces. When the villagers saw the man, they greeted him. They could see that he was respected here.
"This is our village, called Alvin," the man said. "Most of the people here are farmers and craftsmen. We live here, far from war and strife."
Ethan felt a warm feeling that the world, though strange, was full of peace and quiet. He was determined to keep exploring and find more clues.
"I want to see the city," Ethan said. "Can you take me there?"
The man nodded, "Yes, I'm just going to the city to do something." You can come with me."
Ethan nodded gratefully, "Thank you, I'm Ethan, and you?"
"I'm Carl," the man replied, smiling and holding out his hand. "Nice to meet you, Ethan."
Ethan took Carl's hand and felt the warmth and strength of his palm. He knew he had found a reliable friend.
Carl took Ethan on, and they left the village and walked down a wide road toward the city. Along the way, Carl introduces Ethan to many of the strangeness of the world, including the origins of magic, the history of different races, and how they coexist peacefully.
"The world is a big place with many cities and villages," says Carr, "and each place has its own culture and customs. The possibilities are endless."
Ethan felt a rush of excitement and knew he had embarked on an amazing journey. He is determined to keep going, to explore this mysterious world, to find the real answer to the nightmare.
As they approached the gate, Ethan saw a tall wall with guards at the gate, and the sound of people coming and going from the city. Obviously, the city is a bustling place, full of energy and vitality.
"Welcome to the city of Ilsa," Carl said, his eyes shining with pride. "This is one of the most important cities in our world. You will find many amazing things here."
Ethan felt a rush of anticipation and knew he was about to enter a new world and embark on a new adventure. He took a deep breath and followed Carl through the gates, where he was greeted by a world of wonder and hope.
Ethan followed Carl into the city of Irsa, where he was overwhelmed by what he saw. The streets here are spacious and clean, lined with a variety of shops, selling a wide range of goods. The streets are bustling with people of all races, full of vigor and vitality.
"It's a wonderful world," Ethan exclaimed, his eyes wandering around.
Carl smiled and nodded. "Yes, this is our world, full of endless possibilities."
Ethan discovers that the world has a variety of races, not only humans, but also elves, dwarves, orcs, and so on. These people of different races live together in harmony, demonstrating the diversity and inclusiveness of the world.
"There are many races here," Ethan asked curiously. "Do they all live in the city?"
Carl nodded, "Yes, the city of Irsa is a multi-ethnic city, and each race has its own residential area and customs. Men, elves, dwarves, orcs, and other races live in peace here."
As they walked through a market, Ethan saw elves selling all kinds of magical goods, dwarves displaying their exquisite crafts, and orcs selling exotic beasts and herbs. Every stall in front of the crowded with customers, the whole market appears bustling and lively.
"I want to buy some books and learn about the world," Ethan said, a gleam of anticipation in his eyes.
Carl smiled and nodded, "Good idea, there are many bookstores here, you can find what you want."
They came to a bookstore where the shelves were filled with books on magic, history, and different ethnic cultures. Ethan lingered in front of the bookshelf, glancing over the cover of each book, filled with curiosity and longing.
"These books are expensive," Ethan said, frowning. "I don't have any money."
Carl patted him on the shoulder and smiled. "That's all right. I can lend you some money. You need to understand the world, and books are the best teachers."
Ethan nodded gratefulness and picked out a few books on magic, history, and ethnic culture. Carl paid for it, and they left the bookstore, found a quiet place to sit down, and began to look through the books.
The first book is about the magical system of the world. Ethan discovers that the magic of this world is divided into factions, including elemental magic, summoning magic, alchemy, and mind magic. Each magic has its own unique spells and skills that require a long period of study and practice to master.
"Magic is the core power of this world," Carl explained, "and every magician needs to go through rigorous training to master various spells and skills. The Wizard Tower is a place for cultivating magicians."
Ethan nodded, knowing he needed to dig deep into this knowledge in order to survive and thrive in this world.
Then Ethan opened his book about the history of the world. He learned that the world has a long and complicated history. There have been numerous wars between different races over resources and territory, but there have also been periods of peace and alliances.
"History has always been full of war and peace," Carr said, with a touch of emotion in his voice, "but right now, our world is in a period of relative peace." Relations between the races are not always harmonious, but they generally coexist."
Ethan continues to scroll through and discovers that the world is not only filled with races, but also powerful gods and ancient legends. According to the book, the world was created by several powerful deities who were in charge of different realms and powers. Although gods rarely interfere in the affairs of mortals, their presence still has a profound impact on the world.
"Are these spirits real?" Ethan asked, his eyes full of curiosity.
Carl nodded, "Yes, the gods are real, and though they rarely appear, their power is everywhere." Each race has its own belief in deities, and sacrifices and prayers are part of daily life."
Finally, Ethan turned to a book about racial culture. He found that each race had its own unique culture and customs. The elves worshipped nature and magic, and their cities were built deep in the forest and integrated with nature. The dwarves are known for their craftsmanship and minerals, they live in underground cities and are skilled in making all kinds of exquisite weapons and tools. The Orcs lived in the vast grasslands and forests, where they prized strength and courage, and took pride in hunting and fighting.
"Each race has its own unique culture and customs," Carr said, "which makes our world more colorful."
Ethan closed the book and felt a pang of satisfaction. He knew that he had a rudimentary understanding of the world, but that there was much more to explore.
"Thank you, Carl, these books have helped me a lot," Ethan said gratefully.
Carl smiled and nodded, "You're welcome, Ethan. You are new to this world and need time to get used to it. If you have any questions, just ask me and I'll do my best to help you out."
Ethan felt a wave of warmth and knew he had found a reliable friend. He is determined to continue his efforts to understand the world and find the real answer to the nightmare.
As they continued to roam the city, Ethan was drawn to the hustle and diversity. They walked across a large square, in the middle of which stood a tall statue of a wizard holding a scepter, symbolizing the magical power of the city.
"This is the symbol of our city, the founder of the Wizard Tower," Carl explained. "He was a great wizard who led us against the enemy and protected the city."
Ethan nodded, his heart filled with admiration. He knew he still had a lot to learn and explore.
"I want to learn more about the magic of this world," Ethan said. "Can you take me to your master?"
Carl thought for a moment and then nodded. "Well, I can take you to Master. He is one of the most powerful wizards in the world. He can certainly help you more."
Ethan felt a thrill. He knew he was about to meet a great wizard and it would be a rare opportunity. He was determined to seize the opportunity to find the real answer to his nightmare.
They left the square and walked down a wide road towards the Wizard's Tower. Along the way, Carl introduces Ethan to more knowledge and history about the world.
"There are many great magicians and alchemists in this world," Carr said, "who have changed the world with their wisdom and power." The Wizard Tower is their gathering place, where many young magicians learn and grow."
Ethan felt a rush of excitement as he knew he was about to embark on a new journey into a world full of magic and wonder. He was determined to move on and find the real answer to his nightmare.
As they approached the sorcerer's tower, Ethan saw a towering tower surrounded by exotic plants and animals. The top of the tower shone with a mysterious light, as if calling travelers from afar.
"Welcome to the Wizarding Tower," said Carl, his eyes shining with pride. "This is the most important wizarding institute in our world, and you'll learn a lot here."
Ethan felt a rush of anticipation and knew he was about to enter a new world and embark on a new adventure. He took a deep breath and followed Carl through the doors of the Wizard Tower, where he was greeted by a world of wonder and hope.
The interior of the Wizard Tower is spacious and bright, and the walls are covered with all kinds of strange pictures and magical objects. In the middle of the hall was a huge crystal ball, which radiated a soft light. Ethan was captivated by the sight, and his eyes wandered uncontrollably around him.
"This is the great hall of our Wizard Tower," Carl said. "This is where wizards meet and learn. You will meet many good magicians here."
Ethan nodded, his heart filled with anticipation. He knew that he was about to meet many great magicians, and that this would be a rare opportunity.
Carl walked Ethan to a room and knocked on the door. An older wizard opened the door, his eyes sharp and gentle, clearly an experienced magician.
"Master, this is Ethan, a new traveler who wants to learn more about our world," Carl said.
The Wizard smiled and nodded. "Welcome, Ethan. I am Alvas, the master of this sorcerer's tower."
Ethan felt a thrill. He knew he had met the owner of the tower, a great wizard. He bowed respectfully. "Thank you, Master Alvas. I am honored to meet you."
Alvas smiled and nodded. "You're welcome, Ethan. I heard about you from Carl. I'm glad you're here. If you have any questions, just ask me and I'll do my best to help you out."
Ethan felt a wave of warmth and knew he had found a reliable mentor. He decides to seize the opportunity to learn more about the world and find the real answer to his nightmare.
"I'm interested in the magic system of this world," Ethan said. "Could you tell me about it?"
Alvas nodded. "Of course, the system of magic in this world is very complex, but it is also full of endless possibilities. We have elemental magic, summoning magic, alchemy and mind magic, each with its own unique spells and abilities."
He continued, "Elemental magic is the most basic kind of magic, which consists of the four elements of fire, water, wind and earth. Each element has its own character and power. Summoning magic is the summoning of various creatures and spirits to help you fight or complete tasks. Alchemy is an ancient science that involves the making of various potions and magical objects. Psychic magic is the ability to control and influence others through mental power."
Ethan listened spellbound and knew he had a lot to learn in order to survive and thrive in this world.
"Thank you, Master Alvas," Ethan said gratefully. "This knowledge has helped me a lot."
Alvas smiled and nodded, "You're welcome, Ethan. Learning magic takes time and patience, but if you persevere, you can master its powers."
Ethan felt a jolt of determination, he knew he still had a long way to go, but he had found a reliable mentor and friend. He is determined to continue his efforts to understand the world and find the real answer to the nightmare.
"I will study magic hard and find the answers I need," Ethan said firmly.
