Fantasy Wolf Psychosis

Chapter 4: Chapter 3 Be full of suspicion

Ethan sat up suddenly in bed, sweat soaking his forehead and back. The only sound in the dark room was his rapid breathing. He felt himself stiff, as if he had been through a fierce battle. He looked around and was relieved to make sure he was still in the familiar bedroom.

"What's going on here?" Ethan muttered to himself. His dreams became more and more real, more and more terrible, as if he had really lived in that strange world.

He got out of bed, walked softly to the window, and opened it. The morning breeze brought a chill that calmed him down a bit. The peaceful scene of the village was spread out before the eyes, and the villagers had begun their day's work. The farmers in the fields are tilling, the women are washing their clothes by the river, and the children are playing in the village.

Ethan took a deep breath and tried to put the dreams behind him, but he knew he had to find answers. These dreams were more than simple nightmares; they seemed to convey a message, and he needed to find out the truth of it all.

"Maybe I'm under the influence," Ethan said to himself. "Maybe the village chief can give me some advice."

Having decided, Ethan quickly changed into his clothes and walked out of the house. He knew that the village chief usually rested under the trees at the head of the village in the morning, so he went straight there.

The head of the village was an old man over sixty, with silver hair, but he was hale and hearty. He is an authority figure in the village and the villagers hold him in high esteem. When Ethan reached the end of the village, the village chief was sitting on a stone bench under a tree, reading quietly with an old book in his hand.

"Good morning, chief," said Ethan, stepping forward to say hello.

The village chief looked up and smiled kindly. "Good morning, Ethan. Why are you here so early?"

Ethan sat down next to the village chief, took a deep breath and said, "Village Chief, there's something I want to talk to you about."

The village chief closed the book and looked at Ethan with concern. "Of course, if you have any questions, just let me know."

Ethan hesitated for a moment, then told the village chief about his latest dream. He describes how he became a werewolf in his dream, and the werewolves who came after him. He also mentioned the realism of those dreams, which made him feel as if he had actually lived in that world.

After hearing this, the village head frowned slightly and fell into deep thought. He said slowly, "Ethan, these dreams you're talking about are really strange, but they could just be your subconscious. Everyone has weird dreams when they're stressed or having mood swings."

Ethan shook his head. "No, Chief, these dreams are too real. I could feel pain, fear and despair. It wasn't like a normal dream. I'm afraid I may have fallen under the spell."

The village sighed and said, "Ethan, I understand your concern. It's not impossible to be evil, especially in a small village like ours near the forest. But I think we can look at other aspects first and see if there is a more plausible explanation."

Ethan nodded, he knew the village chief was right, but he still could not shake off the unease in his heart.

"We can ask the village doctor to examine you first to see if there is something physically wrong that is causing these dreams." "Suggested the village chief.

Ethan agreed. He thought it was at least a start.

"In addition," continued the head of the village, "we can also consult the old scholar, who has a deep knowledge of some ancient legends and mysteries, and perhaps he can be of some help."

Ethan looked at the village chief gratefully. "Thank you, Village Chief. I really need this advice."

The village chief patted Ethan on the shoulder and said, "Don't worry, Ethan, we'll find out."

After talking to the village chief, Ethan felt a little more relaxed. He decided to follow the village chief's advice and first go to the village doctor and then visit the old scholar.

The doctor's clinic is on the other side of the village, and Ethan is walking down the village road when he meets Elena. When she saw Ethan, she immediately looked concerned and walked up to him and asked, "Ethan, you don't look right. Are you having another nightmare?"

Ethan nodded and told Elena briefly about his conversation with the village chief. After listening, Elena frowned and said, "Let's go to the doctor together. I'll accompany you."

Ethan nodded gratefully, feeling a little reassured by Elena's company. Together they walked to the doctor's clinic, a middle-aged man who, though not as professional as doctors in the big city, was a highly respected medical expert in the village.

"Doctor, I've been having some very real nightmares lately, and I think I might be under the spell," Ethan explained bluntly.

After listening carefully to Ethan's description, the doctor began a series of tests. He checked Ethan's physical condition, including heart rate, blood pressure and nerve response. After the examination, the doctor said thoughtfully, "Ethan, your physical condition is normal, there is no sign of any evil. Your dreams could be caused by stress or mental problems."

After listening to Ethan, although relieved, but the inner doubts are still not completely eliminated.

"I suggest you relax and do more pleasurable things. Perhaps these dreams will diminish." 'suggested the doctor.

Ethan nodded, he knew the doctor's words were reasonable, but he still felt the need to go to the old scholar for advice.

After leaving the clinic, Elena consoled, "Ethan, the doctor said there's nothing wrong with you, maybe you've just been under a lot of stress lately. Let us go together to the old scholar, he will surely find a way."

Ethan looked at Elena gratefully and nodded. Together they went to the home of the old scholar, who was the wisest man in the village, and many villagers would ask him for advice on all kinds of problems.

The old scholar's home was a quaint cottage on the edge of the village. When Ethan and Elena entered the cottage, the old scholar was sitting at his desk, flipping through a heavy old book.

"Old scholar, we have some questions for you," Elena began.

The old scholar looked up, smiled and said, "Come in, children, sit down and speak slowly."

As Ethan sat down, he described his dreams and recent experiences in detail. The old scholar listened very carefully, nodding from time to time, as if he were thinking about something.

"Ethan, it is true that your dreams are strange," said the old scholar, "but that does not necessarily mean that you are possessed." In ancient legends, there are many stories about dreams and other worlds. Perhaps your dreams have something to do with these legends."

Ethan's eyes lit up, and he felt the old scholar's words give him a glimmer of hope.

"In some ancient legends," continued the old scholar, "dreams were thought to be gateways to another world. Sometimes people's souls wander in dreams and enter another reality. It's rare, but it's not impossible."

Ethan was fascinated. He felt like he was getting closer to the truth.

"Well, what should I do?" Ethan asked eagerly.

The old scholar smiled and said, "First, you need to calm down and not let fear rule you." Second, we can try some ancient rituals to see if we can unlock the secrets of these dreams."

Elena held Ethan's hand and encouraged him: "Let's face it together, no matter what happens, I will be there for you."

Ethan felt warmth and nodded. He knows that he is not alone, and that Elena and his friends in the village are supporting him.

The old scholar got up, took an old book off the shelf, turned to a page, and said, "This is an ancient ritual that helps people unlock the secrets of their dreams." We can try it and see if we can find out."

Ethan took a deep breath and nodded firmly. He knew he had to face these dreams and find the answers. Only in this way can he truly be liberated and return to a peaceful life.

The old scholar smiled with a complex light in his eyes. He leafed through the old book as if searching for some crucial passage. Elena held Ethan's hand tightly, giving him support and strength.

"This ritual is very old," whispered the old scholar, "and needs to be performed on the night of a full moon to be most effective." Fortunately, there is a full moon tonight and we can start preparing immediately."

Ethan nodded, and he felt a moment of nervousness, but more anticipation. Through this ritual, he hopes to solve the mystery of his dreams.

The old scholar went to a corner of the room and took out some mysterious objects: a few candles, an old SLATE, and some strange herbs. He placed the objects carefully on the table and began to lay out the ceremonial site.

"Ethan, all you need to do is relax yourself, close your eyes, and focus," the old scholar instructed, "and I'll guide you to a deeper level of dreaming and help you find the answer."

"I'm here for you," Elena whispered to Ethan. "No matter what happens, I'll always be there for you."

Ethan looked at Elena gratefully and nodded. He closed his eyes and tried to relax. He could hear the old scholar crooning some ancient mantra in a low, rhythmic voice, as if some mysterious power were flowing through the air.

Gradually, Ethan felt himself enter a strange state, and his consciousness began to fade. He felt as if he were being drawn by an invisible force into a deeper dream.

In the dream, Ethan once again sees the grim forest and the werewolves hunting him. He could feel his heart racing and blood rushing through his body. He knew that this was no ordinary dream, but some deeper experience.

"Ethan, you must remain calm," the old scholar's voice rang in his ear, as if from a distance. "Remember, you are looking for answers. Don't be dominated by fear."

Ethan tried to control his emotions and calm himself as much as possible. He continued to explore his dreams, trying to find the secret behind those dreams. The smell of blood and fear was in the air, but he stepped forward firmly and did not run away.

Suddenly, he caught sight of a shadowy figure that was approaching him. Ethan's heart was pounding again, but he told himself to stay calm. This figure, he knew, might be the key to the mystery.

"Ethan, don't be afraid," the old scholar's voice said again. "Keep going. The answer is ahead."

Ethan took a deep breath, gathered his courage, and walked toward the shadowy figure. Every step he took was filled with determination and he knew he had to find the answer, no matter what lay ahead.

Just as he was about to approach the figure, the dream suddenly began to twist, as if a powerful force was interfering with his consciousness. He felt dizzy and his body seemed to be torn apart. He struggled to stay awake, but the force grew stronger and stronger, eventually bringing him back to reality.

Ethan suddenly opened his eyes and found himself still sitting in the old scholar's hut. The old scholar was watching him with a strange gleam in his eyes. Elena took his hand and asked with concern, "Ethan, are you okay?"

Ethan nodded, and though he felt a wave of exhaustion, he knew he had to keep going. He felt he was close to the truth, but he needed more clues.

"There are many more rituals we need to perform," whispered the old scholar. "This is just the beginning, but I'm sure we'll find out soon enough."

Ethan nodded firmly, knowing he had to keep going, no matter what awaited him. He is determined to unlock the secrets of these dreams and regain his lost peace.
