Fantasy Wolf Psychosis

Chapter 22: Chapter 21 Mathew

In the days since Ethan left the pharmacist's house, he had been thinking about the self-harming attack method he had used. Although this method saved his life at a critical moment, it also made him realize that such a way of fighting is too heavy on his body, and if he continues to use it, he may die at any time.

He knew he needed a teammate, preferably a priest, who could heal his wounds and provide support. His mind could not help picturing the scene when the pharmacist had saved him. The middle-aged man is not only skilled in medicine, but also very kind. Maybe he can be his own teammate.

With this in mind, Ethan decided to go to the pharmacist again. He returned to the warm room and saw the pharmacist sorting the herbs.

"Good morning, Ethan." The pharmacist looked up to see him, smiled and said hello.

"Good morning." Ethan responded, filled with anticipation and nervousness, "There's something I want to discuss with you."

'What is it? Go ahead." The pharmacist put down his herbs and looked at Ethan carefully.

Ethan took a deep breath and began by saying, "I've been thinking lately that my way of fighting, while effective, is too damaging to my body." It would have been nice to have a fellow priest around to treat my wounds in time. Will you go on an adventure with me?"

The pharmacist smiled with relief at Ethan's words, "My name is Matthew, you can call me Matthew." Ethan, I'm glad you trusted me. Actually, I'd love to help you, too. During this time, I have listened to a lot of your stories, and I am also very curious about your experience. We can be friends and face the challenges ahead together."

Ethan felt a surge of joy, knowing that Matthew was a trusted partner. "Thank you, Matthew. I feel so much safer being with you."

The two men sat down and began to discuss the next plan in detail. Ethan found that Matthew was not only a good doctor, but also very knowledgeable about many things. They talked a lot, and Matthew's words revealed a profound wisdom and insight into the world.

"You know, Ethan, I was actually a risk taker when I was younger." Matthew said with a smile and a nostalgic glow in his eyes, "I've traveled a lot and seen a lot of strange things. Later, I chose to become a pharmacist, hoping to help more people with my knowledge and skills."

Ethan looked at Matthew in surprise. "I didn't know you had so much experience. Have you ever seen anything strange?"

Matthew nodded, a twinkle of mystery in his eyes, "Yes, I have seen many miracles and incredible things. For example, in a distant valley, I saw a sacred tree that could cure all diseases. In one of the ancient ruins, I found a book of ancient magic. There are many other things that I will never forget in my life."

Ethan was fascinated, and he knew that Matthew was not only a pharmacist, but also an adventurer with a wealth of experience and wisdom. With him, Ethan felt that he had been greatly helped and supported.

"Matthew, I'm really glad we're friends." Ethan said heartily, his eyes full of gratitude.

"Me too, Ethan." Matthew smiled and replied, "Together we can solve the mystery of you and find the answer that belongs to you."

In the days that followed, Ethan and Matthew made detailed plans together. They decide to continue exploring this mysterious world in search of more clues and answers. Matthew is not only in charge of treatment and support, but also uses his vast knowledge and wisdom to help Ethan solve various problems.

One night, Ethan and Matthew were sitting around the campfire, discussing their next goal. Matthew tells Ethan that they can go to a place called the Valley of the Stars, where ancient wisdom and power are said to be hidden and may be able to solve the mystery of Ethan's bloodline.

"The Valley of Stars? It sounds mysterious." Ethan said excitedly. "When are we leaving?"

"First thing tomorrow morning." Matthew replied, with a determined glint in his eye. "We must find out soon. Time is running out."

Ethan nodded, filled with anticipation and determination. What Matthew said next, however, left him even more shocked and confused.

"Ethan, you're not unique." Matthew said, with a touch of mystery and reflection in his voice, "There are many races of geniuses on this continent who can use the powers of another race. The reason they say your bloodline may be special is because you have the abilities of other races."

Ethan frowned, thinking about Matthew's words. "You mean the power inside me could come from another race?"

"That's right." Matthew nodded. "On this continent, some humans can control the elements, some elves can use dark magic, and some orcs can master psychic powers. These powers are often considered geniuses, and you may well be one of them."

Ethan is lost in thought, and the information gives him new insight and questions about his own identity. He began to understand that his abilities might be more complex and mysterious than he had imagined.

"To help you better hide your abilities and avoid causing unnecessary trouble, I prepared this." Matthew took a half-face mask from the package and handed it to Ethan.

"This is..." Ethan took the mask and felt a chill pass through his hand.

"It's a mask that protects against certain prying eyes." Matthew explained, "Wearing it, your ability to fluctuate will become weak, not easily detected by others. You can move more freely without fear of being targeted."

Ethan looked at Matthew gratefully, his heart welling with warmth. "Thank you, Matthew. You've helped me a lot."

Matthew smiled and shook his head, "We are friends, we should help each other. And I also hope to solve these mysteries and find answers."

Ethan put on the mask and felt a sense of relief and strength. He knew that with Matthew's help, his journey would go more smoothly. Together, they packed their bags and prepared for a new challenge.

Early the next morning, Ethan and Matthew set off for the Valley of the Stars. The early morning sun fell on them, adding a touch of warmth and hope to the journey. Along the way, Matthew continues to tell Ethan about the various knowledge and legends he knows, so that Ethan has more understanding of the world.

"The Valley of Light is a mysterious place where ancient wisdom and power are said to be hidden." Matthew said, with a gleam of anticipation in his eyes. "Maybe we'll find a clue about your abilities there."

Ethan nodded, filled with anticipation and determination. He knows that this journey will be full of challenges and unknowns, but he is ready and he will face it bravely no matter what happens.

One night during the trip, Ethan and Matthew sat by the campfire, listening to a nightingale singing in the distance. Ethan suddenly remembered some details and asked, "Matthew, you said that some humans can control the elements, how is this ability passed down?"

Matthew thought for a moment and replied, "These abilities are usually passed down through blood, but some are acquired through special rituals or covenants." Sometimes geniuses wake up to their abilities in certain situations, and it has to do with their bloodline."

"So, am I born with this ability, or am I awakened?" Ethan pressed.

"That's what we're going to find out." Matthew smiled. "Perhaps in the Valley of the Stars we will find clues to the origin and nature of your powers."

Ethan nodded, filled with anticipation and determination. He knows that this journey will be full of challenges and unknowns, but he is ready and he will face it bravely no matter what happens.

The two men continued their journey through dense forests, climbing steep mountains, and walking through deep canyons. Their friendship gradually deepened during the journey, and their trust in each other became stronger and stronger.

One morning, they finally came to the entrance to the Valley of Stars. There is an air of peace and mystery, as if time had stood still. Ethan and Matthew stood at the mouth of the valley and felt a powerful force surge through the air.

"This is the Valley of Stars." Matthew whispered, his eyes shining with anticipation and awe. "Let's go in and find our answers."

As Ethan and Matthew stepped into the valley of stars, there was an air of mystery and peace around them. The plants in the valley gave off a faint glow of fluorescence, as if the whole place were shining starlight. The two men walked slowly through the valley, examining the surroundings for clues to the ancient wisdom and power.

"It's really magical here." Ethan whispered, his eyes full of wonder. "Where do you think we should start looking?"

Matthew thought for a moment and then replied, "As a rule, ancient secrets are hidden in obscure places. We need to find some landmarks or special terrain where we might find clues."

The two men kept going, through a sea of fluorescent flowers, down a glistening path, and finally came to an open area. In the middle of this area stands an old stone tablet, covered with strange symbols and designs.

"This could be a clue." Matthew said, stepping forward to examine the symbols on the stele. "These symbols look like an ancient language. They may be recording some important information."

Ethan also approached the stele, trying to understand the symbols, but they were too unfamiliar to him. "Matthew, these symbols are too hard to understand. What are we going to do?"

Matthew smiled and patted Ethan on the shoulder. "Don't worry, Ethan. We can take our time, try to decipher the symbols one by one. Maybe they're hiding some kind of message that guides us."

The two began to study the symbols on the stele, trying to compare and interpret them with the ancient languages they knew. Time passed quietly in their focused research, and the fluorescent plants around them gradually lit up, as if to provide lighting for their exploration.

While they were immersed in their research, suddenly a chill came from behind them. Ethan looked back abruptly and saw a familiar figure moving slowly out of the shadows. That's the witch he fought before, Kalvina. There was a grim smile on her face and the fire of revenge in her eyes.

"Ethan, I can't believe we're seeing each other again." Calvina said coldly, with a touch of mockery and anger in her voice, "Do you think you can escape me?"
