Chapter 21: Chapter 20 Keep up with the time

One afternoon in a mental hospital, Ethan is sitting by the window of his ward, thinking about how to solve the mystery between his dreams and reality. Suddenly, he heard a gentle knock on the door. Turning his head, Ethan saw a familiar figure appear in the doorway - it was Elena.

She still had a warm smile on her face, but the thick gauze was still wrapped around her forehead. Ethan felt distressed and immediately got up and walked over to her.

"Elena, why are you here?" There was concern and tenderness in Ethan's voice.

Elena walked over to Ethan and gently held his hand, tears glistening in her eyes. "Ethan, I'm worried about you. I've been thinking about you ever since the accident. '

Ethan's heart welled up with guilt and pain, he gently stroked Elena's hand and said softly, "I'm sorry, Elena. It's my fault you got hurt."

Elena shook her head, smiled and said, "It's not your fault, Ethan." You didn't mean to do it. I know you're going through something we can't understand."

Ethan took a deep breath and said firmly, "Elena, I'm going to be fine. I will find a way to solve my problem so that you and others won't get hurt again."

Elena nodded, but her eyes were still worried, "Ethan, my parents are scared of you right now. They won't let me visit you again for fear you'll lose control again."

Ethan felt bitter and helpless, knowing how much trouble he had caused Elena and her family. But Elena's persistence made him even more determined.

"I don't want to be separated from you, Ethan." Elena whispered, her eyes full of determination, "I believe you can overcome these difficulties and find your own answer."

Ethan squeezed Elena's hand, feeling the strength and trust she conveyed, his heart filled with determination and courage.

"Thank you, Elena. Your support means a lot to me." Ethan said affectionately, "I will try to overcome everything to find the answer to my problem."

Elena nodded, with a gleam of hope in her eyes, "I'll always be there for you, Ethan. Whatever happens, we face it together."

After sending Elena away, Ethan's heart was filled with new strength and determination. He knew he had to find a way to solve the problem and stop worrying Elena and others. He decides to step up his quest even further, entering that mysterious dream world in search of the truth.

In order to increase his time in the other world, Ethan decides to start taking sleeping pills given by Dr. Lin, in combination with intravenous sleeping pills. He knew it might entail some risk, but he had no choice.

In the evening, Ethan took the sleeping pills prescribed by Dr. Lin and lay quietly in bed, waiting for the effects to kick in. Soon after, he felt a wave of sleepiness, his consciousness gradually blurred, and his body gradually relaxed.

He closed his eyes, thinking of Elena's words and support, and gradually fell into a deep sleep.

Ethan entered that strange dream world again. This time, he felt more awake than before, and the scene around him was more real. It's as if the boundaries between this world and the real world are becoming more and more blurred.

Ethan decides to use this time to bid farewell to the High Priest and continue his quest. He went to the door of the high priest's chamber and knocked softly.

"Come in." The voice of the high priest came, with his usual majesty.

Ethan opened the door and saw the high priest sitting at an ancient desk, stacked with scrolls and ancient books. The high priest raised his head, his eyes unyielding.

"Ethan, have you decided to leave?" "Asked the high priest, concern in his voice.

Ethan nodded, "Yes, High Priest. I need to keep searching, to find the clue to the mystery of my bloodline and my dreams. Thank you for helping me."

The High priest smiled and nodded, "I understand your decision, Ethan. It is a difficult road, but I believe you have the ability to walk it." He picked up a small charm from the table and handed it to Ethan. "This is a little talisman that will help you protect yourself in times of crisis."

Ethan took the amulet and gratefully said, "Thank you, High Priest. I'll be careful."

The high priest nodded and watched Ethan leave the room. However, unbeknownst to Ethan, the High Priest added a secret tracking charm to the amulet in order to keep abreast of Ethan's movements.

After leaving the Earth Dragon Religion, Ethan walks along the trail toward the city. He knew he needed to buy the things he needed to tackle the challenge ahead. However, when he went to the market in the city, he found that he had very little money left.

"I guess I'll have to make some money." Ethan whispered to himself and looked around, trying to find some job opportunities.

He entered a lively tavern, which was filled with loud voices and drunken laughter. Ethan walked up to the counter and asked the tavern owner if there was any chance of making money.

The tavern keeper was a stout, middle-aged man with a friendly smile. "There are plenty of opportunities to earn money, lad. Do you want to do some chores, or do you want to take the reward?"

"Reward mission?" Ethan asked with interest.

The tavern owner nodded, pulled a reward notice from under the counter and handed it to Ethan. "Recently a monster called the Snow Demon appeared outside the city and attacked many caravans and villages. The city's guilds have issued a bounty for anyone who Crusades against the Snow Demon."

Ethan looked at the reward bulletin, which detailed the characteristics and areas of the Snow Demon's activities, as well as the exact amount of the reward. Although the mission seemed dangerous, Ethan knew it was a good opportunity not only to earn money, but also to exercise his abilities.

"I'll take it." Ethan said decisively.

The landlord nodded, with a gleam of approval in his eyes. "Well done, lad. Remember, Snowgoblin is very vicious, so you have to be careful. Good luck with that."

Ethan left the tavern, clutching the reward bulletin in his hand and filled with determination. He knew that the task of fighting the snow demon was not only to make money, but also to prove his ability and find clues to solve his mystery.

He followed the description in the bulletin, crossed the snowy fields outside the city, and entered a snow-covered forest. As the wind whistled past with a piercing chill, Ethan tightened his cloak and moved on. His eyes darted about for any suspicious movement or trace.

Soon after, Ethan discovers some strange tracks, apparently left by the Snow Demon. He followed the tracks deeper and deeper into the forest. The surrounding trees are covered with thick snow, which looks very quiet and mysterious. Suddenly, a low growl broke the silence, and Ethan looked around warily, weapon clutched in his hands, ready for the coming battle.

A huge black figure swooped out of the trees. It was the Snow Demon. It was large, covered in thick white hair, and its eyes were fierce. The Snowgoor opened his jaws, showing sharp fangs, and roared at Ethan.

Ethan quickly evades the snow Demon's attack and fights with his weapon. He tries to summon his own water elemental power, but soon discovers that there is no water source around to tap. The snow was too dense for him to convert it quickly into water, which gave him a sense of frustration and anxiety.

Snowgoblin's attack was fast and fierce, and Ethan had to rely on his dexterity to dodge. He moves through the woods, using the trees as cover to avoid the deadly attack of the Snow Demon. Despite this, Snowmover's speed and strength still put him under tremendous pressure.

In a violent crash, Snowgoon's claws grazed Ethan's shoulder, causing a sharp pain. He gritted his teeth, swallowed the pain and continued to look for a chance to fight back. He knew that he could not back down in such a situation, or he would not only fail to complete the mission, but also risk his life.

Ethan tries to use his surroundings to fight back, leaning his back against a large tree and waiting for the Snow Demon's next onslaught. As the Snowgoon pounces, Ethan fleetingly sidesteps, swinging his weapon and stabbing the Snowgoon in the side.

The Snowgoblin let out a bitter howl, clearly hurt. Its movements became more violent, violently tearing and attacking everything around it. Ethan seized the opportunity to continue his attack on Snowmageddon. His every swing is filled with power and determination as he tries to knock Snow Demon out for good.

However, Snowmagger's fur is thick and seems to be very resistant to ordinary attacks. Ethan's attack was effective, but not lethal. He knew he had to find the Snowgoblin's weakness in order to defeat it.

Ethan gasped, clutched his weapon, and his mind raced through countermeasures. Suddenly, a possibility occurred to him: Could he control his own blood and use it to attack? The idea sounds crazy, but in this world of strange powers, any possibility is worth a try.

He quickly drew the dagger from his waist and without hesitation cut a deep wound in his own arm. As the blood flowed quickly, he concentrated and tried to use his strength to control the blood. He felt the energy surge in his body, and his blood gradually pooled in the air.

However, the amount of blood is too small to form a powerful enough attack. Ethan felt a wave of weakness and anxiety, and he knew he had to think of something else. But at that moment the Snowmover let out a sudden, bitter howl, and his body began to shake violently, entering the second stage.

There was a crazy glint in Snowmagger's eyes, and his body grew larger and his hair thicker and harder. Its attacks become more violent and indiscriminate, as if caught in a state of control in which everything in sight becomes its target.

Ethan quickly evades the Snow Demon's frantic attack, but he knows he can't stay away forever.

"Must be stronger... More deadly..." Ethan decided to himself.

Without hesitation, he quickly pulled out his dagger and slashed a deep wound in his thigh. Blood poured out like a stream. He choked back the pain, concentrated all his energies, and quickly clotted the blood.

The blood swirled and condensed in the air, gradually forming a huge blood thorn. Ethan felt the power within him pass quickly, but he didn't flinch, his hands clenching the blood stinger, a determined light in his eyes.

"This is my last blow..." Ethan whispered to himself, and then, with all his strength, he stabbed the blood into the Snow demon's stomach.

The blood stab with a huge impact, piercing the snow demon's vital point with precision. The Snowmover let out a terrible howl, and his whole body began to shake violently. Its eyes gradually lost their light, and its huge body fell feebly to the ground, making a heavy thud.

Ethan stood over Snowmagger's body, breathing heavily, feeling a rush of triumph and accomplishment. However, his body was stretched to the limit, and the huge blood loss left him feeling dizzy. His vision began to fade and his consciousness began to fade.

"I... It worked..." Ethan meditated in his mind, then fell feebly to the ground, unconscious.

For a moment, he felt a warm force wrap around him, as if someone were gently stroking his forehead. His consciousness sank into darkness, but his heart was filled with hope and determination.

Ethan didn't know how long he had been unconscious, but when he opened his eyes again, he found himself lying in a warm room. The walls around were covered with herbs and bottles, and the air was filled with a faint herbal aroma.
