Fantasy Wolf Psychosis

Chapter 17: Chapter 16 Awakening ability

Ethan awoke from his sleep and felt his body's exhaustion and pain gradually ease. He knew he had to move on, to find those who possessed the ancient knowledge, to solve the mystery of the two worlds. He got up, packed his bags, said goodbye to Mr. Carr and the others, and began his journey.

After several days of trekking through dense forests and rugged mountains, Ethan finally reached another city. The city was more bustling than any place he had stayed before, and the streets were full of noise and energy. Ethan moved through the crowd, looking around for a familiar figure.

In the corner of a busy market, Ethan finally sees Carl. He was standing in front of a stall, discussing something with the stall owner. Ethan walked quickly over, and Carl looked up with a gleam of surprise and joy in his eyes.

"Ethan, why are you here?" Carl asked, surprise and concern in his voice.

"Carl, I need your help." Ethan said directly, firmly, "I need some maps, detailed maps of several nearby cities."

Carl nodded, pulled several detailed maps from a bag in the booth and handed them to Ethan, "These maps should help you." Where are you going?"

Ethan took the map, glanced at it quickly, and then looked up at Carl, "I must find those who possess ancient knowledge, especially witches and alchemists." I believe they can help me solve the mystery of these two worlds."

Carl was silent for a moment, then said, "Ethan, let me come with you. Two are safer than one. I can help you. '

Ethan looks at Carl gratefully, but he knows that this journey is full of unknown dangers, and he can't risk his friend. "Thank you, Carl, but I have to go alone this time. It's not just about finding answers, it's about protecting you."

Carl gave Ethan a long look and finally nodded, "Okay, Ethan, but you've got to be careful." Come back to us if you have any trouble."

"I will, Carl." Ethan smiled, then put the map away and squeezed Carl's hand in gratitude.

Saying goodbye to Carl, Ethan leaves the city alone and embarks on a journey to find the truth. He followed the route indicated by the map through dense forests and open plains, camping under the stars at night and moving on by day.

His heart is filled with determination and desire to find those who possess the ancient knowledge to solve the mystery of the two worlds.

One evening, Ethan stopped at the edge of a dense forest to make camp. He felt a pang of unease, as if some danger were approaching. He looked around warily, his hand clenching the dagger at his waist. There was a tense atmosphere in the air, as if some unknown threat were hidden.

Suddenly, from deep in the woods, there was a sound of footsteps, coming nearer and nearer. Ethan's heart quickened and he realized he might have been discovered. He quickly hid himself behind a big tree, holding his breath and waiting for the coming danger.

Several figures emerged from the trees. They were the dwarves who had wanted Ethan before. There was anger and hostility in their eyes, clearly aimed at Ethan.

'Catch him! He's the man we're looking for!" "Roared one of the dwarves, his weapon gleaming in the setting sun.

Ethan knows he can't hide. He has to fight. He sprang out from behind the tree, his sword in hand, and his eyes fixed on the dwarves. His heart was filled with the determination to fight, to defend himself.

The dwarves rushed towards Ethan without hesitation, their movement fast and fierce. Ethan ducked quickly, drawing a silver arc of his dagger through the air to meet the first dwarf's attack. Two weapons collided in the air, making a jarring metallic crash.

Ethan felt a great power coming from the Dwarves' weapons, but he did not flinch. He pushed away the Dwarves' weapons and quickly fought back, thrusting his sword into his opponent's chest. The dwarf gave a cry and fell to the ground, blood gushing from his wounds.

When the other dwarves saw this, they gathered around them even more angrily. Undaunted, Ethan nimbly evaded their attacks, bringing deadly force with him every time he drew his sword. His movements became more and more fluid, as if the strength in his body had been greatly enhanced.

A dwarf attacks Ethan from the side and tries to decapitate him with an axe. Ethan sidestepped nimbly and cut off the dwarf's arm with a backhand. The dwarf screamed in pain, and his axe fell to the ground, spilling blood all over it.

Ethan felt the power boiling inside him, his every move filled with power and precision. He wielded his dagger, slaying one dwarf after another, each attack with deadly murderousness. There was a cold light in his eyes, as if he were enjoying the battle.

The dwarves realized that they had underestimated Ethan's strength, but they did not flinch and fought on. Ethan gave them no respite, and his movements grew faster and faster, as if the power in his body were endless.

One of the dwarves tried to sneak up on Ethan from behind, and, sensing the movement behind him, he quickly turned and thrust his sword through his throat. The dwarf gave a groan of pain and fell to the ground, his life gone in an instant.

Ethan had no mercy in his heart, and every time he struck his sword he did so with ruthless murderousness. The last dwarf was cornered by him and watched in horror at the murderous young man.

"Give me a break... Give me a break..." "Asked the dwarf, trembling, his eyes full of fear.

Ethan looked at him coldly, without a trace of pity in his eyes. He raised his short sword high and cut off his opponent's head without hesitation. Blood splashed on the ground, and the battle was finally over.

Ethan felt tired and empty as he stood among the bodies of the dwarves. He looked at the short sword in his hand, blood dripping down the blade. He suddenly realized that he could kill without hesitation, and that this feeling did not seem to cause him any discomfort.

"I... I've changed." Ethan whispered to himself, filled with mixed emotions. He didn't know if the change was good or bad, but he knew he had to keep going and find out.

Ethan dried the blood from his dagger, put away his weapon, and quickly left the woods. He did not want to be found by the pursuers again and had to find a safe place to hide as soon as possible.

During the escape, Ethan kept thinking about how he had changed. He felt the strength in his body grow stronger and his fighting skills become more skilled. But he wondered if that meant he was losing his humanity and becoming a ruthless killing machine.

He finally found a stream and decided to rest here, to wash his wounds and gather his thoughts. The water is clear and flowing slowly, bringing a sense of peace. Ethan knelt by the stream, holding the cool water in his hands, and sprinkled it gently on his wounded arm.

While he was concentrating on cleaning the wound, he suddenly felt a strange force surging through his body. His eyes fell on the stream, and he saw that the current seemed to move slightly under the control of his mind. At first, he thought it was an illusion, but when he focused, the water actually began to flow as he intended.

Stunned, Ethan tried to concentrate again, this time controlling a small stream of water moving through the air. Although the water only quivered slightly in the air, it was enough to shock him. He tried several times to make sure he could actually manipulate the weak current.

"How is that possible? I'm a werewolf, how can I manipulate water?" Ethan whispered to himself, his eyes full of doubt and confusion.

He concentrated again, this time trying to direct the current into a small whirlpool. Although the vortex formed only briefly and then quickly unraveled, it was enough to prove that his powers were real. Ethan felt a mixture of excitement and fear.

"What's going on here? Why do I have this ability?" Ethan was filled with questions. He knew that werewolves were usually known for their strength and speed, but the ability to manipulate the elements was clearly not part of a typical werewolf's repertoire.

Ethan sat by the stream, deep in thought. His hand gently touched the stream, feeling the weak power flowing through his body. Perhaps the force had always been there, but he had never been aware of it.

"Is it because of my blood?" Ethan guessed to himself. He recalls the bizarre dreams and his own dual personality and realizes that he may be more than just an ordinary werewolf. Perhaps there is something more powerful lurking in his veins that is only now beginning to emerge.

To test his suspicions, Ethan decided to explore his abilities further. He found a relatively quiet place and began to practice manipulating the current. He concentrated on trying to shape the water into different shapes and control how it danced through the air. His control was still weak, but as he practiced, he found that his control of the current was increasing.

The man smiled with a wild light in his eyes. "Of course, I am an ancient emperor, and my dynasty was conquered by the enemy, but I escaped here and waited for the moment to rise again." His voice grew high and excited. "I need loyal subjects, Ethan. Will you be my marshal and lead my army to restore the dynasty?"

Ethan was stunned as he looked at the man who claimed to be the ancient emperor and realized that the other person's mental state was clearly abnormal. "I..." Ethan tried to say something, but the man suddenly became more manic.

"I command you to kneel down and accept your knighthood immediately!" "The man shouted, waving his arms as if a coronation were taking place. There was a crazy light in his eyes, and the whole room became very tense.

Other patients woke up to his cries, some crying, others watching in horror. The nurses heard the noise and rushed into the room, tranquilizers in hand. Several strong nurses worked together to hold down the frantic man and quickly injected him with a tranquilizer.

The man's Shouting died down, his body became weak and he was carried back to bed by the nurses. At the same time, several other nurses began to sedate other patients to prevent them from getting cranky after the shock.

Ethan felt a wave of fear and powerlessness, and he knew he had to stay calm and not let himself fall into a state of madness. A nurse walked over to him and whispered, "Relax, Ethan, we're just trying to make sure everyone's safe."

The nurse gave Ethan a sedative. He felt a rush of sleepiness, and the vision began to blur. He lay back in bed, his consciousness fading into a deep sleep.

In his sleep, Ethan's mind was still restless. He realizes that the situation in the asylum is more complicated and dangerous than he thought, and must find a way to unlock its secrets. He knew that he could not give up easily, no matter how cruel the reality was, he had to stick to it and find his own answer.

In the dream, he saw the mysterious world again, the place where he had fought and fled. He felt a surge of power within him, as if calling him back to that world. But the shackles of reality still clung to him, and he could not break free.
