Chapter 7: Hasky the Mercenary
"It feels kind of weird wearing this outfit."
I said as I looked myself in the mirror.
I was given a few uniforms from the Red Ribbon Army.
It was fine for the officers that have the rank colonel or above to wear their outfit in the army as long as they are willing to sew the badge onto the outfit.
But I have left my house with only a set of clothes, money that has already been used up and my bike which has no fuel anymore.
And it has only been a day since I joined the army so I have not gotten any salary yet.
So the uniforms are much appreciated for me who have nothing to wear.
"And they do not look that bad," I said as I looked myself in the reflection of the cup of coffee that was in front of me.
"Bip. Bip. Bip." a printer that was in the room that I was in started to make noises as a piece of paper popped up from it.
"Find the mercenary named Husky?"
I read out the sentence that was on the paper. It has a photo of a woman named Hasky and where she was last sighted.
"Hasky? You got terrible luck if you have to meet her as your first mission." Violet said as she walked into the room that I was in.
"Is she dangerous?" I asked her.
I know she is not on good terms with Silver and I have to keep my guard up around her since I got into the army through Silver.
But that does not mean that I believe she wanted to harm me.
Even if she does not like me I know women like her would first try to win people over before having to resort to underhanded methods.
"She is a skilled thief. Even more than me." She said.
"A thief?"
"She can steal almost anything and will steal anything as long as you can pay her. She even stole something from our army in the past." Violet said.
"Then why does the commander want to hire her? Isn't she our enemy?" I asked her.
"It seems I don't have to worry about you. If you can't even understand why the commander wanted to hire her, you must be really stupid." She replied.
I didn't say anything back since she was kind of right.
"I will come with you. This is not a mission that you can mess up." She said.
I agreed with what she said since if she is that capable to the point where the general ignored her past offence she is someone that we need to get on the army's side at all cost.
I don't want the Red Ribbon army to succeed too much but failing the first mission that I was assigned to would make me a target of commander Red.
And I also knew that the only reason why I got assigned the mission was because Red does not need to care about qualifications when assigning the missions.
There are tons of soldiers, colonels and even generals who are killed if they fail their mission no matter how important it is.

"You seriously don't have a ride?" Violet said in an irritated tone.
"I am only sixteen years old. The only thing that I could ride was a motorcycle that was out of fuel." I replied.
I would rather have Silver with me instead of her but I would rather have her than not have any kind of help.
"Here. Take this." Violet throws a small capsule at me.
"What is this?" I asked as I checked to see what was the item she gave me.
It was a pistol.
"It won't work on me but I don't think you have any weapon on so keep it with you. It might come in handy." She said to me.
"It won't work on you? What? Are you bulletproof?" I asked.
"There is no way I would be. But I am skilled enough to dodge anything that might come out of that wimpy pistol." She said.
So you gave me a weapon that can't even hit you. I thought as I frowned while looking at her.
I later found out that she was a close relative of a woman called Fanfan who trained under a legendary martial artist.
"Miss Violet. We have arrived." The underlying of Violet that was driving the car that we are in reported.
Then the other underlying that was sitting next to the driver seat got out immediately and rushed towards the place where Violet's seat was and opened her door.
Not only that he also helped her stand up by offering her hand.
I was a little weirded out but I ignored her and got out of her car.
Then I remembered a small filler arc from the Dragon Ball anime where Goku and his friends encounter a blonde woman who tried to steal their dragon balls.
I only remembered it now since it was a small arc that occurred long before Saiyan Saga.
"So that woman is Hasky," I muttered to myself as recalled her appearance from the anime.
"Red Ribbon army? What are you people doing here?" Two guards were guarding the large hut where it seemed like Hasky was.
They were armed and I remember Violet told me that Hasky robbed the army in the past before.
So I quickly took out the two of them with a swift kick before they could take any action.
"That should do it," I said as I kicked away their weapons after knocking them out.
I know that Bullets won't kill me anymore but I can't take any chances until I am sure of it.
"I have to warn you. The reason why I don't get along with Silver is that he is too patient. But I also don't like people that are too hot-headed either." Violet warned me.
"Don't tell me, you think we can meet the mercenary if we reason with those two?" I asked her with a smile on my face.
"Of course not. I was just testing you." She said to me.
"Tsk. I was not expecting troublemakers. Come into the hut. Retards."
We heard a Voice of a women from the hut.
All of us immediately knew it was Hasky.
But we still followed her commands anyway.
