DOULUO: THE DRAGON GOD WITH GACHA

Chapter 72: DITIAN (IV)

Ditian remained silent for a long moment, his golden eyes flickering with countless emotions. The sheer magnitude of what had just transpired was still settling in his mind.

The Myriad Race Blood Pond… an opportunity beyond imagination.

A place where bloodline shackles could be broken, where evolution was no longer dictated by fate but by will and effort. A place capable of rewriting the very foundation of the spirit beast race.

And he had unrestricted access to it—second only to his lord.

Ditian took a deep breath, his golden eyes gleaming with emotions he had rarely allowed himself to show.

Hope. Conviction. Devotion.

He clenched his fists, his draconic aura surging momentarily before he suppressed it. Then, in an action that would be etched into history, he stepped forward and dropped to one knee.

"My lord."

For the first time, he had called Xuanyu 'my lord' instead of 'young lord.'

A seemingly small change in words—yet it carried the weight of 800,000 years of dominance, pride, and unyielding will.

Xuanyu immediately noticed the shift. He didn't react outwardly, but a flicker of satisfaction passed through his eyes.

This was a turning point.

Ditian, the Beast God, a being who had never bowed to any ruler other than the Silver Dragon King, had now acknowledged him as his true master.

And with Ditian's submission, the entire spirit beast race would inevitably follow.

A single move had given Xuanyu an indirect hold over every spirit beast, from the weakest hundred-year-old cub to the ancient, slumbering titans that lurked in forgotten realms.

This was the cornerstone of his future dominion.

A sharp gleam flashed in Bibi Dong's violet eyes as she observed the scene from the side.

So that was his plan.

She had underestimated him. She had thought Xuanyu's generosity was merely to gain Ditian's trust, to slowly cultivate his power base among the spirit beasts.

But this…

With a single move, he had indirectly taken control of the entire spirit beast race.

Brilliant.

Terrifying.

She couldn't help but chuckle inwardly. "Very good."

--------

Yet, Xuanyu remained composed, his expression as calm as still water, as if this outcome was only natural.

With a simple wave of his hand, he dismissed the need for gratitude.

"Gratitude is unnecessary, Beast God."

His voice was serene, yet beneath the tranquility lay an undeniable authority, an unshakable certainty.

"You have dedicated your life to the spirit beasts. This is merely the reward for your unwavering loyalty."

Ditian clenched his fists even tighter, his emotions surging like a roaring storm within him.

For 800,000 years, he had fought, bled, and struggled to protect his race.

He had endured endless hardships, standing as the pillar of the Great Star Dou Forest, shouldering a responsibility no other beast could bear.

But he had never dared to dream of such a future—a future where spirit beasts would no longer fear their bloodlines, where they could grow without limits, where they could stand as equals, or even above, the gods themselves.

He had followed the Silver Dragon King out of faith, out of reverence for their race's last divine protector.

But now…

Now, he was beginning to believe in something greater.

The true Dragon God's bloodline had resurfaced.

And his lord wielded a power beyond imagination—the mysterious shop, capable of defying logic and granting opportunities surpassing even the heavens.

The spirit beasts needed only to wait.

In due time, they would reclaim their lost glory and status, rising to their rightful place.

And at the helm of this resurgence would stand their true ruler—the one destined to reclaim the throne of Dragon God, the supreme sovereign of all spirit beasts.

-------

Xuanyu remained impassive on the surface, but inwardly, he smiled.

The experiment had succeeded.

Granting free runes to the spirit beasts was merely a test—one that would yield immense, immeasurable benefits in the long run.

Normally, with his EX-rank item: RUNESMITH, he could only create a single rune at a time, requiring weeks of recovery before forging another. Even with others cultivating the runes he made, the feedback loop would take far too long to bear significant fruit.

But that limitation was now gone.

By using his wish, he had altered the very laws of existence.

Now, every 100,000-year-old spirit beast—past, present, or future—would automatically condense a unique rune based on their bloodline, attributes, talents, and essence.

And the best part?

He didn't even need to create them himself.

The runes were now linked to the heavenly laws of the world.

With Ditian's second wish, he had slightly altered the nature of heavenly tribulations.

Previously, tribulations existed only to kill, to ensure that no spirit beast ever reached the divine realm.

But no he had changed their intent of Heavenly tribulations, it would still be deadly—but it would also serve as a test.

Those who passed would gain the key to godhood—a Rune.

Of course, just obtaining a Rune didn't guarantee ascension. It was merely the first step, a pathway to divinity. Spirit beasts would still have to cultivate relentlessly to ascend.

However because he had altered the balance, the heavenly tribulations would also become stronger.

After all, equilibrium must be maintained.

------

A Self-Sustaining System of Power

And because he was the creator of this new system…

Every rune generated by spirit beasts, he would automatically gain a copy of it, as it's the ability of the RUNESMITH.

He wouldn't even need to cultivate them. As his own copy of rune would grow as the spirit beast cultivate its own rune.

Others would train.

Others would struggle.

Others would refine their runes.

And yet, he would reap the benefits would doing anything. Not only would he gain access to these runes, but he would also inherit the experience, insights, and understanding of those who cultivated them.

He wouldn't need to grind through endless battles—he would receive the culmination of their efforts instantly.

He had turned the entire spirit beast race into his forge.

They would fight.

They would grow.

And he would ascend, effortlessly accumulating power beyond comprehension.

All he needed to do was refine his control over the runes he received—an easy task, given that he would absorb the original experiences of those who cultivated them.

This was no longer just an advantage.

It was an unstoppable inevitability.

And when the time was right…

The Dragon God would rise again.
