Devouring Demons in Demon Slayer

Tanjiro, however, chose to end her life. While her past might have been tragic, it didn't excuse the many Demon Slayers she'd killed.

He didn't spare her because of the weight of her sins. Death was her final destination, a choice she had made.

"Rui is among the Twelve Kizuki. Be careful!" she warned before completely disintegrating.

Tanjiro wanted to ask more, but it was too late. She was gone.

The blood collection tool rolled to his feet. He picked it up.

"Meow~"

A meow came from behind. Tanjiro turned to see Yushiro's delivery cat.

He knelt down and petted it.

"It's you! Are you here to take the blood back to Miss Tamayo?" Tanjiro asked happily.

The cat rubbed against his hand and presented its small backpack, indicating he should place the blood samples inside.

"Okay, okay!" Tanjiro patted the cat's head and placed the two blood samples in the backpack.

"Go quickly! Be careful on your way!" he said.

The cat meowed and left.

Tanjiro pondered the demon's last words: Rui is among the Twelve Kizuki. Be careful! Was Rui Lower Rank Four or Three? Or another of the Twelve Kizuki?

Inosuke arrived, asking, "Tanjiro, did you take care of the other {demon}?"

Tanjiro, snapping out of his thoughts, nodded. "Yes!"

He noticed Inosuke's wounds from the fight with the {headless demon}. "More importantly, are you okay, Inosuke? Your wounds are bleeding!"

Inosuke, hands on his hips, declared, "Don't worry about me! I'll always be better and stronger than you! Soon, my head will be harder than yours! Let's spar again later!"

Tanjiro, understanding Inosuke's pride, offered bandages.

Inosuke refused, not wanting to appear weak.

"Inosuke, don't move!"

"Stop it! I don't need it! Let's go find more {demons} to kill! Let's see who kills more!"

Inosuke ran off.
