"Upper Moon Three—Akaza"

"Aoki-senpai was amazing! He took down the demon so quickly. If it were me, I probably would've been killed," Tanjiro said weakly, lying on the ground.

As the two were talking, a massive explosion nearby drew their attention.

A thick fog erupted, concealing a figure. Aoki felt an unprecedented pressure, his expression turning serious and tense.

Rengoku Kyōjurō, like Aoki, instantly recognized the figure's immense power, rivaling his own. He, too, became alert.

In the fog, the figure lazily stretched and turned.

They saw a man with peach-colored short hair, golden eyes, pale skin, deep blue tattoos covering his body, blood-red nails, and a purplish-red shirt. Beads adorned his ankles.

He was a demon, but unlike others. A drop of sweat trickled down Aoki's forehead. His gaze was serious, even fearful.

The demon's left eye bore the number "3," and his right eye, "Upper Moon."

His identity was revealed.

Upper Moon Three!

Aoki and Rengoku Kyōjurō instinctively shielded Tanjiro and the others. An opponent this dangerous would overwhelm them.

Aoki's thoughts: 5621 combat power… What's going on? He's only Upper Moon Three, the third strongest of the Twelve Kizuki, yet his power is close to Himejima Gyomei, the strongest Hashira! And why is he here?!

Aoki and Rengoku Kyōjurō's expressions were grave. Even together, they couldn't guarantee victory.

"Aoki-senpai… Rengoku-san…" Tanjiro, witnessing their seriousness, was surprised. He knew the Upper Moons were strong, but hadn't grasped the gravity of the situation.

"Tanjiro, stay back!"

Both Hashira lunged, drawing their Nichirin Swords, attacking Akaza.

"Breath of Devouring, Fifth Style: Asura Blood Blade!"

"Flame Breathing, Second Style: Rising Scorching Sun!"

Crimson energy and flames engulfed their swords as they struck Akaza's arms, sending him flying back several meters.

Akaza's arms bore deep wounds, but that was all.

Licking the blood from his arms, Akaza said, "Impressive blades. I haven't faced such strong opponents in a while. Exciting! You two…"

"Since you're strong, I'll fight you accordingly."

A twelve-pointed snowflake array appeared beneath Akaza's feet, visually striking but ominous to Aoki and Rengoku Kyōjurō.

"Destructive Death!"

"Before we begin, I have a proposition," Akaza said. "Become demons. What do you say?"

"Don't be ridiculous. Let's fight," Aoki said.

"While I dislike Aoki's language, I agree!" Rengoku Kyōjurō added.

They rejected Akaza's offer.

"Too bad. I wanted sparring partners. Then I'll just kill you here."

The three clashed, their movements too fast for Tanjiro and the others to follow, only hearing the clash of metal and seeing flames and black energy.

Rengoku Kyōjurō took the lead, Aoki supporting. Aoki didn't mind; Rengoku Kyōjurō was stronger, and Akaza was even stronger.

Taking the lead would be suicidal, even with the Sharingan and Susanoo.

During another clash, Aoki pulled a Flying Thunder God kunai from his haori, launching it at Akaza's head.

Akaza easily dodged it.

But before Akaza could react, Aoki appeared behind him, catching the kunai. He swung his sword.

"Breath of Devouring, Sixth Style: Demon Slayer Slash!"

Aoki inflicted a deep wound on Akaza's back. He didn't aim for the head, believing he couldn't sever the neck quickly enough, leaving the opportunity for the stronger Rengoku Kyōjurō.

Akaza, thrown off balance by the attack, stumbled towards Rengoku Kyōjurō. Rengoku Kyōjurō immediately aimed for his neck, understanding Aoki's strategy.

Akaza grabbed Rengoku Kyōjurō's sword with one hand and Aoki's head with the other. With a spinning kick, he sent both flying.

The wound Aoki inflicted healed rapidly, surprising even Aoki. Compared to Akaza, the demons he'd faced before were pathetically weak in both strength and regeneration.
