Demon Slayer: The Great Swordsman's System, Disciple of Yoriichi

Sensing someone above, the demon instinctively looked up. In its crimson pupils, a black shadow grew larger and larger.

"Sun Breathing, Tenth Form: Beneficent Radiance!"

Descending from the sky, Si Shu unleashed a spiral slash of fire. The blade, wreathed in sun-like flames, fiercely struck the demon's head.

"Wha—" Before the demon could react, its head exploded like a watermelon smashed by a club.

[Two demons eliminated. Remaining demons: 98.]

Why two? Just as Si Shu was wondering, Yoriichi walked over. Looking over, he saw the corpse of another demon slowly dissipating beside his master.

I see. So this is a team mission. Si Shu had been worried that the mission might fail due to demons escaping, but now it seemed his worries were unnecessary. With Yoriichi fighting alongside him, how could they possibly fail?

"I'll hunt over there," Yoriichi said, pointing to the west. "If you encounter danger, prioritize your life. Don't be reckless." Seeing Si Shu nod, Yoriichi left, reassured.

At the same time, Si Shu ran towards the east. He hadn't gone far when a demon leaped out from a dark corner. Its thick right arm swung forward with a whistling sound, aiming to pierce his chest.

"Let me see your heart!" the demon roared, its blood-stained face contorted in a savage grin, already imagining its feast. But clearly, it had picked the wrong opponent.

Si Shu raised his Nichirin Blade high above his head and then slashed down abruptly. In an instant, a two-meter-long blade of fire erupted and flew out. The demon's thick right arm was like paper before it, easily sliced apart.

Stepping off his right foot, Si Shu's figure vanished from his spot.

Schlick!

He unhesitatingly slashed through the demon's neck, its horrified face reflected in his eyes. It seemed unable to comprehend why this human was so different from the others.

"I won't accept this..." With those meaningless last words, the demon's head dissipated in the air.

The system's voice sounded in his mind again, and Si Shu was a bit surprised. In that short amount of time, Yoriichi had already eliminated another four demons.

Looks like I need to speed up. A sense of competitiveness rose from the bottom of his heart, and Si Shu ran towards another location.

With the efforts of Si Shu and Yoriichi, more than half of the demons in the town were quickly eliminated. In the process, they naturally saved many people. Looking back at the dozens of survivors following him, Si Shu felt a headache coming on. Why couldn't they understand? Following him was the most dangerous place to be. Instead of staying in the cleared areas, they insisted on following him to find more demons. Was "Follow me" written on his face?

With another slash, Si Shu killed a digging demon that had just emerged from the ground.

The mission was almost complete, and Si Shu was considering where to hunt next when a cry of alarm suddenly came from behind him. The flat ground suddenly cracked open, revealing a large hole with a five-meter radius. The survivors following Si Shu had no time to react and fell into the hole like dumplings into a pot. Only a few who were slower managed to avoid falling in.

"Help! Save us!"

"Someone, help! I don't want to die!"

After falling into the pit, they began to shout for help. Just as Si Shu was about to go over, a heavy thumping sound suddenly approached. It was like an elephant running across a plain, the rubble on the ground vibrating slightly. A bad feeling rose in his heart, and Si Shu looked in the direction of the sound.

As the footsteps grew closer, a figure appeared at the edge of the houses. It was the Meat Mountain Demon from before.

"Ooh, so much food here," the demon said, its fat head peeking out from the darkness, a grin of excitement on its face. Drool dripped from the corner of its mouth, and a foul stench filled the air. "I can finally have a feast."

Its thick, fat hand reached out, grabbing for the people in the pit. The already terrified survivors became even more panicked at the sight of the demon. Their taut nerves snapped, and they stood there dumbly, unable to speak.

"Sun Breathing, Ninth Form: Setting Sun Transformation!"

Appearing in mid-air, Si Shu launched his attack in an inverted position. His blade, engulfed in fierce flames, swung out in a horizontal slash. With the sound of tearing muscle, a huge gash appeared on the Meat Mountain Demon's right arm. The wound nearly severed the entire arm, and bone was faintly visible within. Charred muscle flipped outward, filling the air with the stench of burnt flesh.

"AWOOOO!"

Clutching its right arm, the Meat Mountain Demon couldn't maintain its footing under the intense pain. Its massive body stumbled back a few steps before crashing into a hotel. Dust and debris shot into the sky, mixed with the sound of shattering glass and tiles.

Tossing a few ropes he had, Si Shu shouted to the few people who hadn't fallen in, "What are you waiting for?! Save them!"

Startled by his shout, the dazed survivors finally snapped back to reality.

"What a strange human. A little kid with such strength... you must be the Demon Slayer from the report," the Meat Mountain Demon's voice came from within the dust cloud, low and full of killing intent. "I just wonder... if your meat tastes good."

That guy? Si Shu's mind raced, and he immediately thought of the Tentacle Demon and the Corpse Demon who had escaped earlier. Looks like this big guy is the leader.

Having already pieced together the image of the two demons escaping and sharing intelligence, Si Shu gripped his sword with both hands, its tip pointed forward.

The next second, a loud thump echoed. The Meat Mountain Demon's three-meter-tall body flew directly out of the dust cloud. It was hard to imagine how a giant ball of flesh that large could have such astounding jumping power.

"Kill him!" the Meat Mountain Demon roared. At the same time, from the top of a building, another figure leaped down. With a piercing whistle, it brought its weapon down fiercely on Si Shu's head.
