DC HERO AT MARVEL

Chapter 177: Chapter 177 Anton Foresight! Steel Soldier Revolt?

After the Osborn Company presentation, everyone felt that the trip was worthwhile.

Even the highly anticipated Tony R8 couldn't compare to the shock of seeing the Osborn Company chairman debut as a hero.

This trip was worth it!

Meanwhile, the media present on-site, preparing for tomorrow news, had gone crazy.

They pulled out their phones and frantically called their offices.

Even if it was after hours, they were determined to get people back to work overtime.

The Osborn Company chairman, Harry Osborn, planning to emulate Tony Stark and debut as a superhero, was earth-shattering news.

In terms of shock value, it far exceeded Tony new armor.

"Did you capture everything?"

Anton turned to look at Phil.

"Got it all!"

Phil nodded excitedly. "I'll burn the midnight oil to finish the draft tonight. It can be on the front page tomorrow morning."

"Don't rush," Anton said with a smile. "Although this news is sensational, tomorrow front page might not necessarily belong to the Osborn Company."

"What do you mean?"

Because of the symbiote issue, Eddie was arguing with Venom.

Although Venom had little sympathy for its fellow symbiotes, it still had empathy.

Humans now had the ability to turn symbiotes into tools, which made Venom feel extremely uneasy.

Eddie reassured Venom repeatedly that he wouldn't let this happen to it, finally calming Venom down for the moment.

Afterward, hearing Anton cryptic remark, Eddie heart skipped a beat, a sense of foreboding rising within him.

"Could something happen today?"

Eddie stared at his boss, swallowing hard.

Clearly, he had immense faith in Anton foresight.

After all, ever since he had known Anton, every single prediction Anton made had come true.

"Just wait and see. After Osborn Company, it Hammer Industries' turn... Justin is about to take the stage!"

Anton didn't elaborate and answered calmly.

Eddie turned his head and saw Justin Hammer, the chairman of Hammer Industries, stepping onto the stage at Stark Industries' pavilion, the largest platform of the expo.

"Hello, everyone, I'm Justin Hammer."

Justin began, "Ladies and gentlemen, if you think Osborn is going to be tomorrow headline, then you are wrong—completely wrong."

Huh?

Eddie and Phil both turned their heads, then glanced at Anton again.

It wasn't that they admired Justin Hammer confidence, but they were shocked by the accuracy of Anton prediction.

Anton was right again!

Just from Justin Hammer opening line, they could tell that they were about to witness something equally, if not more, shocking than Harry Osborn debut as a hero.

"Today, I'm going to introduce you to the new face of the U.S. military…"

Onstage, Justin confident voice continued.

"The Hammer Steel Soldiers."

He turned and gestured, triggering a pre-designed mechanism on the stage.

The platform slowly rose, revealing rows upon rows of robot-like figures resembling Iron Man.

Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps!

The four major military branches, all represented.

"Whoa!"

Eddie and the others watched Justin Hammer on stage, his face beaming with a smug smile like a blooming chrysanthemum. They finally understood where this guy confidence came from.

There only one Iron Man!

However, Hammer had over twenty steel soldiers standing on the stage.

Even if their combat capabilities weren't as strong and fell short in many areas, having over twenty of them attack together would make even Iron Man feel overwhelmed.

It was easy to imagine that if the U.S. military truly intended to purchase Hammer steel soldiers, these fearless, remotely controlled machines made of iron would become the most terrifying weapons in the world.

A military official in the audience squinted.

He was a high-ranking officer, personally invited by Justin Hammer with great enthusiasm.

Though he had been somewhat prepared for Hammer Industries' tech showcase, seeing the actual steel soldiers left him astonished and deeply moved.

To the general public, Hammer Industries' technology might seem comparable to the news generated by Osborn presentation or perhaps slightly inferior.

But for the military, Hammer Industries' technology was far more practical.

If they could truly form an army of steel soldiers, the military would become an unstoppable force.

"Hammer Industries has actually managed to solve the energy problem for steel soldiers."

Eddie and Phil, shocked, exchanged looks.

Not just them—everyone knew the key issue.

It wasn't that current technology couldn't produce steel soldiers; it was that no one could solve the energy requirements needed for long-term combat.

And the only person who controlled the Arc Reactor technology, Tony Stark, was holding on to it tightly and refusing to release it.

Now, Hammer Industries had cracked that technology.

No wonder Justin Hammer was so smug!

Harry expression darkened when he saw this.

Though he had anticipated that Hammer products might surprise everyone, he hadn't expected Hammer Industries to actually develop steel soldiers.

He could already imagine that this would probably be Hammer Industries' most successful attempt at imitation.

They might even surpass Tony Stark, the original Iron Man, by a considerable margin.

Unless Tony decided to bring Stark Industries back into the weapons industry and wrest the military contracts away from Hammer Industries, Hammer was bound to bask in success for a long time.

But given Tony Stark personality and recent transformation, it seemed highly unlikely.

The playboy-turned-reformed billionaire wouldn't return to the weapons trade, no matter how lucrative it was.

Fortunately, Harry had already stepped up to become a superhero to boost Osborn Company stock value!

At the very least, this ensured that the Osborn Company wouldn't fall too far behind Hammer Industries.

Not far away...

Tony sat in the specially reserved audience seating, his expression unchanged.

The appearance of the steel soldiers surprised him, but it didn't shake his composure.

To be honest, even though Hammer Industries had cracked the Arc Reactor technology and solved the steel soldiers' energy issue, he still didn't see Hammer as a real threat.

Ever since he insisted on pulling Stark Industries out of the weapons business, he had prepared himself for moments like this.

The Arc Reactor technology, while advanced, was never an unbreakable secret.

Tony didn't underestimate the brilliant minds in the world, just as he never underestimated his own potential and intellect.

On stage.

Justin Hammer, brimming with confidence, glanced proudly at Tony and Harry in the audience, spreading his arms wide as he continued his impassioned speech.

"This is revolutionary technology! Hammer Industries will reshape the technological landscape of the world!"

As he spoke, Justin Hammer failed to notice that the steel soldiers behind him had silently turned their cannons.

Most of the audience overlooked this detail as well.

The few who noticed thought nothing of it, assuming it was part of a pre-programmed performance.

Only Tony and Harry sensed that something was wrong, their expressions subtly shifting.

This included Anton, Eddie, and Phil, who were watching from a distance.

Especially Eddie and Phil.

Their eyes widened as they suddenly realized that the "bigger news" Anton had hinted at might not be Hammer Industries showcasing the steel soldiers.

This invention, which Justin Hammer claimed was revolutionary and capable of reshaping the world military landscape, was not the real highlight.

The steel soldiers going rogue was!
