Cursed Empire: Rising against the gods

After Arthur and the others left the village, Axel and Becca sat together, with Becca eyeing the rings they had delivered, each featuring a jade-like gem.

"Put one on." Said Axel.

Becca was hesitant at first but put on one ring. At that moment, she was flooded with information about druid magic: the forms, techniques, and methods of using it.

Becca was howling in pain, gripping her head as the information flooded her brain. Soon she became tempted to take it off, but Axel grabbed her hands and said, "You are a fighter, Becca. Don't stop now and hold on tight."

Seconds later, she stopped screaming and started to fight it. Greenish veins appeared from her fingers to her forearm, and her eyes began to show a silent green pigment in her blue irises.

She didn't realize it, but her hand was growing a plant but instantly decay.

After the pain stopped, the veins and green eye color disappeared. As she huffed and puffed for air, she noticed everyone staring at her, their faces filled with concern.

She smiled and waved at them, saying, "I'm fine, guys. Don't worry about me." This defused their concerned looks but a few didn't buy it.

Axel clapped his hand and said, "Well done, how do you feel?"

She stared at her palms intensely and said, "I feel funny. Is that normal?"

"Yes, your mind has likely gained knowledge of druid magic and its usage. Right now, the gem is empty. So tomorrow morning, we will hold a meeting to finally introduce magic to the people." said Axel as he noticed two people walking over to them.

Cj and Philly were both part of Becca's personal guards due to her request, "Becca, is everything okay?" Cj said he was extremely happy to see that immediately sat next to her.

Which meant that Philly had to sit by Axel.

Axel was filled with so much joy at the terrified look on Philly's face, "May I ask why the two of you are here?" he asked.

Cj rolled his eyes in an irritated mood, "We are just checking on our best friend. We don't need any other reason than that." he said.

Becca punches his arm with a not-so-happy look, "Be nice, he is our second leader and your trainer." She said.

Axel laughed with a smile planted on his face, "It's alright, I actually wanted to talk with Becca about something but I believe having more opinions would be beneficial." His calm demeanor was starting to irritate Cj.

Axel explained to them what Arthur just told him. He didn't leave out any details other than the part about him starting a war between two kingdoms.

Becca looked determined as she got up from her seat and slammed her palm on the table, "We need to help them immediately?" But soon realized she gathered unwanted attention and slowly sunk into her seat in embarrassment.

Cj followed up by saying, "I mean if there are people who we can help from those royal asswhipes. Then sure, but how are you even going to get there? It's not like we have a port and boats at this place."

Philly then nervously replied, "Besides, the kingdom of Earnest will kill us all if they find out."

Axel on the other hand already thought of something, "We need a ship master, a port built, even more homes, and train fighters. So it depends on our process if we finish early or not."

Becca twirled her hair while deep in thought. Before saying, "Well I know a way we could get a ship but it's not going to be pretty."

All three of the guy's attention was placed on Becca who immediately cleared her throat before saying, "A refugee who joined, used to be a pirate but her gang got arrested so she ran here. She said her ship is by a cave just down the coast west from here."

Axel got up and said, "Okay, I going to go retrieve the ship now." After he got out from the table, Becca immediately asked, "Why now?"

He replied, "So that we finish this as early as possible. Besides, me and Ivy need to stretch our legs a bit. We'll be back by morning probably." The three of them had thought in mind. Who was Ivy?

After he left the inn, he rode Diego to his place.

Upon arrival, he entered inside to find Ivy rocking back and forth on her chair, "Me and you have a mission. Are you ready, Ivy?" Axel asked as he watched her move her bandaged right arm around with no signs of pain.

She smiled and slowly extended her right hand nails which transformed into long sharp claws. Axel giggle and embraced her tightly, "Ever since we were young, you always had potential but need someone to guide you there. Now you have the opportunity to show me, not anyone else but me, the reason why I say you are perfect...Ivy."
