Blood Awakening: The Strongest Hybrid and His Vampire Bride

Chapter 405: The Black Beast Awakens

"Well, there's no need to hold back, these bastards want to kill me," Nikolai muttered to himself while each part of his body bulged, pulsed and transformed.

Black fur spread across his arms, then spread further, his face becoming ferocious like a twisted eldritch wolf and yet remaining somewhat pleasant to the eye.

His shirt stretched and tore in different places, unable to withstand the sheer mass of Nikolai's muscles, but his pants remained intact, although he didn't like them tight, so he ripped them off.

His height in this form could reach eight feet when standing tall, but he hunched slightly, letting his thighs tighten and bulge, ready to pounce as he placed both hands on the cold metal floor. "I'm going." He told Sasha in a low, gruff voice.

Between them and the enemy was a pool of filth at least five metres wide.

The werewolves on the other side couldn't transform because of their bloodline, so when they sensed an actual werewolf, many of them stepped back, hands trembling in Nikolai's black orbs.

"Perfection..." Sasha whispered to herself, eyes sparking as she looked at Nikolai's form.

The moment he lowered himself, her cheeks flushed at the sight of his muscles and the thing dangling between his thighs... 'Impossible!'

Nikolai then rushed at the enemies, their rifles down, before he appeared with a massive leap over the filth.

Bang!

He landed on the chest of one of them, his weight crushing the man instantly while he used his claws to dig through the enemy's flesh. Blood splashed on Nikolai, but the scent was delightful.

These men were disgusting, but their blood was perfect, and he would kill them.

"FIRE!"

"Shit is this why they call us fake!?"

The other guards fired wildly, but Nikolai seemed unfazed by the silver rounds piercing his flesh; instead of slowing down, he became more ferocious, his eyes glimmering with bloodlust as he rushed the group, killing many with his sheer force and overwhelming power.

"Boss, this guy is a monster..."

The remaining three guards fired, but Nikolai was too powerful for them to contain. Their leader stood with a blank expression, unable to comprehend why his men were struggling against one werewolf in a tight space, the number of bullets that penetrated Nikolai's flesh could be more than fifty...

'Why is he fine!?'

"Arghkk....!"

He couldn't help but regret having chosen this tunnel... his lips pressed together as he lifted the shotgun. "Die Freak!"

Nikolai became elated, tearing apart a man, his claws dug into the guard's eyes and ripped out chunks of his brain.

The boss took advantage of this, lifting his gun with a low sigh, cocked his shotgun and fired.

Boom!

But unlike those of his men, his weapon was devastatingly powerful, as a large slug slammed into Nikolai's shoulder, spinning him around and forcing blood to splatter over the area.

That was the first time Nikolai had taken these men seriously.

"BLACK BLOOD!" One of the men called out.

"It's him! He's the real deal!"

Their blood was purple, a testament to the imperfect blood running through their veins, yet still, it was the source of the delicious scent that Nikolai could smell emanating from their bodies.

But their leader...

Nikolai looked up at the man, who kept firing, but his blood seemed different... It didn't have the scent of a werewolf, nor did it have the same taste when Nikolai licked his lips.

"You are different." A distorted growl, but Nikolai remained cautious.

He grabbed the corpse of a man and tossed it at the boss as he fired his shotgun.

A dull squelch sounded as the body tore apart, blocking the shot.

This moment gave Nikolai a chance to rush towards the remaining three men who tried to shoot him with their rifles.

'Damn, they're like ants, but it doesn't matter.'

His claws slashed one, sending the man flying across the ground while another tried to fire, only for Nikolai's palm to grab the barrel, crushing it while lifting his knee and hitting the man between his legs.

"Ah... this feels amazing."

Nikolai's eyes were like gemstones, both with raven-black sclera, but with one ocean-blue pupil and the other crimson red.

He looked up, ignoring the final guard who trembled like a coward.

'Why did I even bother hiding?'

All his wounds healed rapidly, the silver bullets falling from his body like dust.

"Hah, look at these fools."

The boss looked horrified as he reloaded his shotgun, shaking and stepping back, about to scream.

He wanted to pretend this was a dream, something impossible.

'How can it be?' The leader looked up at the figure who approached him, stepping over the corpse that slammed into him.

With the last of his desire to fight, he lifted his shotgun, and *click*

Empty.

"Oh?"

"...Please...."

The boss, with a scar, begged for something even Nikolai couldn't believe, as the man fell to his knees. "My life... have mercy..."

Nikolai stood over him and pressed his foot on the man's chest, a deep growl escaping his throat, yet he spoke clearly.

"Why should I?"

The boss would never have shown mercy to him before; he could feel it without Sasha telling him.

These were the men who dealt with those who tried to flee... How many humans, monsters, and other living creatures did they kill in the reverse position?

Nikolai didn't speak; he stepped on the man's knee.

"AH! Please! No!"

Bone snapped and popped.

Sasha was sitting in her groove, watching with a pale face but enjoying the show as Nikolai crushed the man's legs. The number of times that he tried to make her sleep with him, or got angry before she rejected him... It was the reason she started testing herself. So they didn't try to force her.

'Bastard! Suffer my fate!"

She watched Nikolai torture the man, but when he was about to finish him, many voices began echoing from the other end.

"Ngh..."

"Grhh...."

The sealed door suddenly began to open, and a tall male and a woman stepped through. "Ah!?"

"Brother?"

Nikolai looked back at Alexei and Marianne, maybe forgetting he was completely nude in his transformed state... exposing himself to his friend's sister was a rather crass thing to do.

But the main thing on his mind was to crush the werewolf's skull.

*Thump*

It was like squashing a watermelon.

"Ah, sorry Mari... You weren't meant to see that..." But the girl didn't respond; instead, she locked her gaze on his legs... or something dangling between them. In their werewolf states, males reached almost 80% of their maximum length while flaccid.

"Big..."

"Mari!?" Alexei turned pale, rushing to his sister's side and grabbing her head, forcing her to look away. "What the heck, man!?"

"Ah, sorry the rush of blood made me too excited to care..."

Nikolai was scratching his cheek with an awkward expression.

"Hah, well. It's good to know you're alive but seriously... why is it so grotesque you damn monster!"

"Tsk..."

Nikolai's body returned to normal, the stench of the filth and the pain from the shots forming minor bruises on his flesh as he took out another set of clothes from his wedding ring.

'It was the best move to make our wedding rings item storage devices...'

"So you're saying the exit is back the way you came from?" Nikolai frowned. "Then why didn't you just leave?"

He couldn't help but feel annoyed after they had promised to escape first, then meet up. But he was also grateful to see they were alright. Nikolai wanted to know the location of Lunaria and Amphitrite, but he needed to focus on the goal.

'Sasha cannot be put in danger...'

The lazy mermaid now hangs over his shoulder with a smug grin on her face.

"Don't be a fool, Nikolai, we're brothers... could I leave you here and run off first, AGAIN!"

"Ah..."

The last time they fought, he sent Alexei first and then almost died.

"Did you find out?"

"About that bastard almost killing you?"

"Tsk, this guy."

The two men shared a chuckle while Marianne glanced between them and looked at Sasha with a strange expression.

"We should hurry then, what if they are in trouble like you were, Brother Nikolai?" The noble and wise voice of Marianne was quite charming, especially when she called him Brother.

"Don't call this bastard brother!" Alexei huffed as they walked towards the torn metal doors.

"Stingy."

"Brother!?"

Alexei picked up Marianna and started jogging ahead. It seemed that he saw Nikolai as a threat. "Come on!" He yelled back.

Nikolai started following behind, with Sasha hanging off his shoulder, making a strange, low laughter into his neck while sniffing him. It was a familiar action from most of the women around him, and now that he noticed the black blood and its unique scent, he could understand why they were so drawn to it.

"Let's go, doctor."

"Wait!" The sudden exclamation caused him to halt for a moment.

"What is it?"

"T-Thanks for saving me... I.... You're not bad."

Her cheeks became bright as she nuzzled his back, whispering something before going silent. It wasn't the same kind of feeling from the other women... but he didn't quite understand.
