Chapter 56
Chapter 56
“Are you feeling a bit better?”
“Yes, but it’s still not enough.”
Just looking at his eyes, which still hadn’t fully lost their redness, I could tell. Even though sex was efficient for guiding, it took considerable effort and time to calm an S-class Esper who had far exceeded the safety threshold.
I lowered my head again to catch my breath. When there was no more response, Song Ji-hyeok, perhaps feeling impatient, spread my legs again. Only then did I speak again.
“Don’t rush. I’ll take it all until the guiding is over. …But let’s catch our breath for a moment.”
As I spoke, I interlaced my fingers with Song Ji-hyeok’s. It wasn’t for the sake of ticklish skinship, but to continue the guiding that was still lacking, even if just like this.
Only then did I have the leisure to think. I checked his face, which I hadn’t properly seen earlier because I was captivated by his eyes, and quickly examined his naked body. Fortunately, there didn’t seem to be any injuries or wounds.
While feeling relieved, I couldn’t help but inwardly click my tongue. Of course, it was in a positive sense. Seeing how much strength he had used, it couldn’t have been an easy battle, but he managed to come out unscathed.
There’s no point in being reckless. It was highly praiseworthy to be cautious and only kill the monsters.
“Can I continue?”
As if he had endured as much as he could, Song Ji-hyeok slowly climbed on top of me. Soon, his handsome face drew closer. I embraced his shoulders and willingly responded to his kiss.

Habitual behaviors were frightening. My eyes suddenly opened wide, even though no alarm had rung or anyone had shaken me awake.
“Ugh…”
As soon as I tried to get up, a dull ache shot up from below. It wasn’t hard to recall what had happened the night before.
Forward, backward, sideways. We had mixed our bodies in every conceivable position, continuously channeling energy. Finally completing the full guiding with one last ejaculation, I immediately lost consciousness. I used to think that dying from overexertion was just an urban legend, but now I thought it might actually be possible.
The scenery that met my eyes was unfamiliar. I could see a half-drawn blackout curtain and what looked like a tea table, and I was sitting on a bed that was, exaggerating a bit, as big as my entire room when I used to live in a studio apartment. Next to me, Song Ji-hyeok was sound asleep.
Thanks to this, I could roughly guess the situation. We had certainly made that commotion in the guest room yesterday, but it seemed we had moved here afterwards. Whether he carried me on his back or dragged me by the ankle, I didn’t know, but the fact that he didn’t abandon me and brought me along made me see him in a new light.
I quietly reached out and gently grasped Song Ji-hyeok’s hand. As I slightly channeled my energy into him, I could feel that his internal state had stabilized perfectly. I wanted to check his pupils too, but I didn’t dare, fearing I might wake him up. Well, even without looking, they should have returned to normal.
‘Ugh.’
Holding my aching waist, I slowly got up, pulling back the blanket. When I went outside, I was startled by how bright it was compared to the room.
The moment I entered the guest room, I unconsciously hesitated. The scattered clothes, the blanket that had fallen to the floor, and the faint lingering smell were all traces of last night. Now that I looked closely, there were even clear boot prints on the sheets.
I ignored it for now and looked for my device first. I couldn’t find it in the room, but I finally discovered it on the floor in the living room.
[07:32]
Along with the current time, there were notifications for missed calls and messages. I hurried to check them. Both were from the team leader.
[Did the guiding go well? I haven’t heard from Ji-hyeok]
[Call me anytime as soon as you see this message]
I immediately called the team leader. After a couple of rings, I heard the team leader’s voice.
– Oh, Su-hyeon. Did the guiding go well?
“Yes, it ended well.”
– How’s Ji-hyeok’s condition? Are you okay?
“Yes, we’re both fine. After finishing the guiding, the tension suddenly released and I fell asleep… I’m sorry for contacting you late. You must have been worried.”
I had actually passed out first, but I explained it that way. If Song Ji-hyeok had contacted the team leader later, there wouldn’t have been any calls to me.
– As long as there’s nothing wrong, that’s good. You did a great job.
I sniffled unnecessarily, feeling a bit embarrassed. Even without exaggeration or flowery words, the team leader’s praise had the power to make my shoulders perk up. The good news didn’t end there.
– I’ll process it as guiding leave for today, so get some rest. Tell Ji-hyeok to send a text if he wants to rest too.
“Okay, I understand.”
– Then I’ll see you tomorrow.
Suddenly, I had nothing to do. Without even thinking about it, I slowly made my way back to the guest room.
Although I’m usually the type who feels hunger before sleepiness, it depends on the situation. Perhaps because my body felt heavy and sore down below, I didn’t feel hungry. More than that, I wanted to stretch out my back for even an hour or two right away.
But as soon as I reached the door, I realized my mistake. The room was still a mess, and the unpleasant smell lingered. Above all, seeing the shoe marks on the bed and the white stains dried here and there, I completely lost the desire to lie down.
No, I wanted to lie down, just not on that bed. I could clean it up quickly if I wanted to, but the problem was that I didn’t even have the motivation to do that right now.
“…”
Suddenly, I thought of Song Ji-hyeok’s bedroom. It was big, spacious, soft, and above all, the bed was warm. I felt like I could fall asleep right away if I lay down there again.
Of course, I’m not usually like this. Normally, I would have tidied up the room roughly and lain down, or made myself comfortable on the living room sofa, but I turned my steps, making excuses to myself that it was because of my poor condition.
‘Surely he won’t kick me out?’
I’d feel a bit hurt if he did. As I quietly opened the door, Song Ji-hyeok was still in deep sleep. Just as I was carefully trying to lie down in the spot where I had been before, a voice suddenly spoke up.
“Did you go pee?”
“No, I was looking for my phone… When did you wake up?”
“Just now when you came in.”
You could have made some noise. You startled me.
“How do you feel?”
“Fresh as a daisy.”
Even though he had just woken up, Song Ji-hyeok didn’t seem to have any intention of getting up. Since I also had something the team leader had asked, I decided to ask right away before I forgot.
“Are you going to rest today?”
“What about you, senior?”
“They’re processing it as guiding leave, so I’m planning to rest.”
There are a few conditions to qualify for guiding leave, which doesn’t deduct from paid vacation days, but having devoted all my energy to guiding an S-class Esper should be more than enough to qualify. The reliable team leader had also brought it up first.
“Yawn… Then I’ll rest too.”
His long yawn as he answered made him look just like a lazy cat. Soon, Song Ji-hyeok patted the empty space beside him.
“Aren’t you going to lie down?”
“…I suppose I should.”
I thought he might ask me to leave now that I had finished my business, but hearing him casually tell me to lie down made me feel a bit bewildered. Even so, my body obediently moved. Indeed, my back felt warm and the blanket was cozy. And my legs felt heavy… Huh?
“What’s this?”
“What’s what?”
“This leg, what is it?”
Why are you casually placing your leg on top of mine?
“It’s because there’s no room for my body pillow because of you, senior. Please understand.”
Wow, look at that shameless face. He’s already propped his head up with one arm and is looking at his phone, the picture of nonchalance.
“If you’re going to rest, send a quick text to the team leader. He was quite worried.”
“Everyone’s already making a fuss. Don’t they know that no news is good news?”
If an S-class Esper, more precious than gold, disappeared with bloodshot eyes via teleportation, would you react any differently?
‘Good grief, what a handful.’
Thanks to this—or perhaps I should say because of this—my sleepiness completely vanished. Since Song Ji-hyeok was awake anyway, I decided to ask the questions I should have asked earlier.
“What happened yesterday? Was it really a dungeon break?”
“Yes. A Code Zero came in, and when I got there, it was chaos.”
It’s easy to say chaos, but I could guarantee it was a scene worse than any apocalyptic movie. I couldn’t help but ask with a serious expression:
“How many went? Was anyone hurt?”
“I think about thirty people went. I’m not sure who was hurt, but the base camp felt like a funeral home.”
My heart sank at those words. Moonlight Guild is one of the top-tier guilds in Korea, and for a dungeon break to occur in a BK dungeon they were responsible for, the damage must have been unimaginable.
