Becoming the Strongest as a Game Dev

Chapter 60: Chapter 60

Ruby greets her viewers with a bright smile. "Hey, everyone! How's it going today?" She scans the chat, reading the friendly messages that pop up.

"Alright, so what should we get into today?" Ruby taps her chin, pondering. "I'm feeling like diving back into that Devil May Cry simulation. What do you all think?" She waits for the chat's response, eager to see what her viewers suggest.

The chat floods with enthusiasm. [Gamergirl42]: "Yes, let's play as Lady again! I loved watching you wreck those demons!"

[TechnoGeek]: "Definitely! Lady is such a badass. Let's see you take down some more baddies."

Ruby often dove into the Devil May Cry simulation, relishing the chance to play as the formidable Lady. With each session, her skills sharpened, and she mowed down demons with increasing ease and finesse.

"Yes, let's play as Lady again!" a viewer named Gamergirl42 enthused. "I loved watching you wreck those demons!"

"Definitely!" another viewer, chimed in. "Lady is such a badass. Let's see you take down some more baddies."

Ruby was about to play another session of DMC when one of her chats sent her the trailer of the Monster Hunter simulation and when she saw it was made by Genesis, she got excited.

Ruby's eyes lit up "Whoa, everyone check this out, guys!" She leaned forward, excitement in her voice. "A trailer for a new simulation from Genesis is out! Let's watch it!"

Quickly, Ruby pulled up the trailer, eager to share the news with her viewers. The familiar Genesis logo and SimQuest's logo flashed on the screen, and she watched intently, her gaze fixed on the action-packed footage.

The trailer showcased a lush, verdant forest teeming with life. Hunters clad in armor wielded an array of weapons, stalking through the undergrowth. Suddenly, a massive, crimson-scaled wyvern erupted from the canopy, its wings casting shadows over the terrain.

"Look at the size of that thing!" Ruby exclaimed, her voice laced with awe. "I bet taking that down would be one hell of a challenge."

The scene shifted to a desert landscape, where Hunters fought against towering, scorpion-like creatures, their blades and arrows glinting in the harsh sunlight. Ruby's viewers remained silent, captivated by the intense action unfolding before them.

As the trailer progressed, Ruby's excitement continued to build. "Wow, the environments look incredible. And those monsters - they're like nothing I've seen before. Genesis really went all out on this one."

The final shot showed a group of Hunters standing victorious, their armor and weapons stained with the blood of their vanquished foes. Ruby let out a low whistle, impressed by the sheer scale and intensity of the simulation.

Ruby watched, enthralled, as the trailer for Genesis's Monster Hunter simulation came to an end. Her eyes widened as a link appeared on the screen, inviting viewers to explore the game's official website.

Eager to learn more, Ruby clicked the link, navigating to a sleek, well-designed page. She scrolled through the various sections, her gaze lingering on the detailed descriptions of the formidable monsters that would be encountered in the simulation.

"Wow, look at the size of that monster," Ruby murmured, her fingers tracing the outline of the massive wyvern on the screen. "I bet taking that thing down would be an epic battle."

As Ruby delved deeper into the website, she discovered information on the diverse environments players would explore, from lush, verdant forests to scorching deserts. The level of detail and craftsmanship on display left her thoroughly impressed.

"This is some next-level stuff," Ruby said, turning to her chat. "The environments, the monsters - Genesis really pulled out all the stops with this one."

Her viewers chimed in with equal excitement, their messages flooding the chat.

[Gamergirl42]: "I can't wait to see you take on those monsters, Scarlet! This is going to be so much fun!"

[TechnoGeek]: "The weapon crafting system looks insane. I bet we can make some seriously badass gear to take down those beasts."

Ruby nodded in agreement, her fingers already tapping the mouse as she navigated to the section detailing the various weapons and armor.

"Oh, man, just look at these designs. I'm getting pumped just thinking about it."

She paused, her gaze falling on the "Demo Available" banner at the bottom of the page. Turning to her chat, Ruby asked,

"So, what do you guys think? Should we give the demo a try?"

The chat erupted in enthusiastic responses, each viewer eager to see Ruby take on the challenges of the Monster Hunter simulation.

[Gamergirl42]: "Yes, definitely! I want to see you in action against those monsters!"

[TechnoGeek]: "Heck yeah, let's do it! I'm ready to see you kick some serious butt."

Ruby grinned, her fingers already moving to set up the demo. "Alright, chat, let's do this. Time to see what Genesis has cooked up for us."

She launched the demo and put on her headset as she found herself transported to the lush, verdant Forest and Hills zone. Ruby's heart raced with anticipation as she took in the stunning environment, her eyes scanning for any signs of danger.

Ruby's eyes widened as a customization panel materialized before her. She scanned the selection of weapons, her gaze lingering on the heavy bowgun. The familiar weight and power of Lady's Kalina Ann rocket launcher came to mind, and Ruby knew this was the weapon for her.

With a tap of her finger, Ruby selected the heavy bowgun, feeling a surge of anticipation as the simulation transported her to a desert camp. The arid landscape stretched out before her, the scorching sun beating down mercilessly. Ruby examined her surroundings, taking in the sturdy tents and the various supplies scattered around the campsite.

A worn notebook caught her eye, and Ruby quickly snatched it up, flipping through the pages. Her task was clear: hunt down the fearsome Diabolos in the desert. There was a drawn image of the Diablos inside of the notebook that looked like an icon, and just looking at the creature made Ruby's body shiver. Ruby steeled herself, gripping the heavy bowgun tightly as she prepared to venture out into the unknown.

Ruby steps out of the camp, the scorching desert sun beating down on her. The landscape is vast and unforgiving, a sea of golden dunes that stretch out as far as the eye can see. Shimmering mirages dance on the horizon, teasing the senses. The air is dry and stifles her breath, a constant reminder of the harsh environment she has entered.

Ruby pauses, taking a deep breath to calm her nerves. She grips the heavy bowgun tightly, feeling its weight and power. With careful steps, she begins to navigate the dunes, her eyes scanning the area for any sign of the Diabolos.

The sand shifts beneath her feet, making each stride a challenge. Ruby's gaze sweeps across the desert, searching for any disturbances or movements that might betray the presence of her quarry. The stillness is unsettling, broken only by the occasional gust of wind that whips up small sandstorms.

As Ruby trudges onward, she can't help but feel the vastness of the desert pressing in around her. The lack of cover makes her feel exposed, vulnerable to the unknown dangers that may be lurking beneath the surface. She tightens her grip on the bowgun, ready to react at the first sign of trouble.

The scorching sun beats down mercilessly, and Ruby can feel the sweat beading on her brow. She pauses to wipe her forehead, taking a moment to catch her breath. The desert seems to stretch on endlessly, and Ruby begins to wonder if she's even heading in the right direction.

"I think the heat is going to kill me first before I find the Diablos..." she mutters.
