Baby Pharmacist Princess

Chapter 52

**Boom, Boom!**

Fireballs generated around Genovia shattered and scorched my room. A tremendous heat burst out like lava, shaking me to my core.

‘I can’t… breathe.’

I felt crushed.

The air was thick with smoke, making it impossible to see.

Neither Idsys nor Genovia, who seemed to be clashing just moments ago, were visible anymore.

‘What’s happening? My skin… it feels like it’s peeling. My throat hurts.’

The heat felt like it was draining all the moisture from my body.

Even with something like Dragon Heart, I could barely withstand it, so there was no way Sophia could.

“Go, you must… go.”

It happened so suddenly. Yet, Sophia managed to push me towards the door even as she collapsed, urging me to leave this place.

Thunk.

As Sophia fell, I tripped and saw her pale hand hitting the floor.

“Sophia…?”

All I could see was her white hand in the midst of the smoke.

It was like everything was moving in slow motion, and I couldn’t look away, fearing Sophia might die.

I felt the forces of Idsys and Genovia clashing. Their power struggle was devastating everything around.

The problem was, it was destroying my room.

Boom!!!

Another explosion, and I threw myself over Sophia, covering my ears and screaming.

“Dad!!!”

I was so scared, my legs wouldn’t move.

What four-year-old could run away in such a situation?

But I could scream.

Dad would come for me. He promised he would.

“Dad, cough, cough!”

As I screamed, the smoke filled my lungs.

My throat burned!

I clutched my neck, struggling to breathe.

The status window was annoyingly loud.

I didn’t need it to tell me how bad my condition was.

Recalling fire evacuation procedures, I hugged Sophia’s face with my small body.

As if that could keep her safe.

Luckily, Byu was wrapping around us, preventing the flames from hurting us too much.

“Princess! Princess!!!”

“What the…! Eek, the door won’t open!”

“The door handle melted! We have to break it down!!!”

Thunk, thud!

Was that Shami desperately banging on the door? The screams sounded distant.

But we mustn’t open it.

‘There will be a backdraft.’

With this much heat, the door handle would be scorching.

If it melted and fused, opening the door would be a mistake.

The oxygen level inside the room was dangerously low.

I saw smoke being sucked through the door cracks. If the door was opened, oxygen would rush in.

Explosion.

We’d die.

Sophia would surely die.

“Dad…”

Even so, I called for Dad, hoping he’d have a way.

Dad could save us.

Dad would…

“Cherry.”

Just as I was about to lose consciousness, I felt a strong embrace lifting me up. A comforting presence surrounded me, and a familiar voice soothed me.

Safe, trustworthy…

‘Dad.’

Snap, crash!

Almost simultaneously with Dad’s arrival, the windows shattered under the pressure.

‘Oh, everything is white.’

I remembered hearing that extremely high temperatures make fire blue instead of red.

Dad’s worried face came into view through my wide-open eyes.

Behind him, my room was being blown apart.

“Don’t worry, everything’s going to be alright.”

But Dad, the room is falling apart…

“Sorry I’m late.”

Even amid the explosions, I felt no impact.

As soon as Dad arrived, the oppressive pressure and the stinging smoke disappeared.

All that remained was a strong, safe embrace.

I tried to stay conscious, but my eyes kept closing. My throat hurt so much I could only whisper a single word.

“Sophie…”

“She’ll be fine. Just rest.”

Ah, everything’s fine.

If Dad says it’s okay, it must be.

Finally reassured, I closed my eyes.

As the tension eased, my whole body ached.

I could hear the ongoing battle between Idsys and Genovia.

Genovia might have eaten a power-enhancing fruit, but it was no match for Idsys.

Usually, they wouldn’t even be able to fight like this.

‘The smell of sulfur. That’s…’

My thoughts trailed off.

I saw Dad doing something while holding me.

Genovia, in a pathetic state, was brought to her knees.

The sofa, reduced to nothing, was restored. The broken walls stood again, and the shattered windows reassembled.

It was as if the destruction had been a dream, my room quickly returning to its original state.

Finally, even the chandelier above was back in place, and I lost consciousness.

[Current Player Status: Unconscious due to Carbon Monoxide Poisoning.]

The status window flashed ominously.

* * *

“Oh, too bad.”

A silver-haired boy leaning against a large window shrugged.

Realizing there was nothing more to see, the third eye on his forehead closed.

Blowing at the bangs that tickled his smooth forehead, Pabel expressed his disappointment.

“I thought I could watch her surprised face a bit longer. But he came quicker than I expected.”

A paper bird wasn’t enough, it seems.

At the time of the chaos at the White Night Palace, on the peaceful third floor of the Maia Palace.

Sitting by the best scenic window, Pabel stretched and yawned lazily.

The rampage caused by Genovia Wynn Castalia was a piece of art created by Pabel.

A gift in return for the paper bird.

A comedy prepared for a single audience.

‘I wonder if you enjoyed it. I was happy, but what about you?’

First, Pabel used a paper bird possessed by a demon spirit to lure Vikal out of the White Night Palace.

He knew Vikal would chase after anything that had a demonic aura, and he was right.

Then, the poor, foolish Genovia moved on her own.

The desire tree that only grows in the demon realm. Drinking its juice amplifies one’s darkest desires.

‘If only Idsys wasn’t here, I’d be the Emperor.’

Thinking that, Genovia immediately went to the White Night Palace.

Of course, the fruit also had power-enhancing abilities, leading to quite an interesting event.

A fight between Idsys and Genovia.

He never expected Genovia to hurt Idsys. It was merely a test.

To see how strong Idsys Wynn Castalia really was.

And also, to completely destroy Genovia.

‘You shouldn’t have said those things to that adorable girl.’

Agricultural Day.

Pabel wasn’t there, but he saw everything through Genovia’s eyes.

He heard what Genovia said too.

It made Pabel more upset than he expected.

So much so that he accelerated his plan to make Genovia eat the desire fruit.

‘Oh, that surprised face… it was so cute.’

Pabel chuckled, recalling Cherishe he had watched through his third eye.

His special ability, ‘Third Eye,’ allowed him to see what marked targets saw.

Cherishe, sitting opposite Genovia, was still as cute and delicate as ever.

And so pouty.

‘If I could take her to my mansion, I’d show her something fun every day.’

It was frustrating not being able to take that pure, clear soul right away.

“Ugh.”

Stepping down from the window sill, Pabel smirked as he walked into the room where Alexandra was yelling her head off.

“Find out what she’s wearing! Do you not understand?”

Ugh, so noisy today as well.

“Which store did she buy the lace from? What color is she wearing? Can’t you find out?!”

Cherishe had been the most pampered Princess in the palace until she woke from her vegetative state.

With Helga Castalia sent away, and Lizbel Jen Orgena being part of a ducal family.

Cherishe Wynn Castalia was in a vegetative state.

There were no other princesses, so Alexandra had always been the star of every party.

But that would change this year.

Pabel fully understood Alexandra’s anxiety about a new competitor.

Cherishe was undeniably cute.

You couldn’t help but look at her.

“Why is she so upset again, my contractor?”
