Chapter Nine: The Trade. 

 "Kai, what's going on?. Get your hands of me". Kai hears Nora voice through the phone. 

"Your sister is fragile, don't put her through anymore pain just do as you are told kai"

"Please, don't hurt her. I'll do anything you say", kai pleaded. 

"Good boy. I'll send the location, you better come alone"

The line drop dead. 

Kai drops to his knees, his phone slips to the ground, his head in his head sobbing heavily. 

"I have to get to her fast. I can't lose her". 

A buzz…An address was sent. 

Merthur picks the phone, his eyes filled with rage. 

"They are all dead. I would crush them to pieces"

Kai looks up glaring at him, tears in his eyes. 

"If you would just let me go to them, all of these wouldn't be happening"

Merthur knees, gripping Kai's chin firmly. "Do you think they would let you live. The vampire out there are vicious, with that blood of your you wouldn't last a day out there"

Kai hits merthur hands away. 

"I have to go save her" he gets to his feet. 

"I'm coming with you", Merthur says. 

"Have you lost your mind, I was asked to come alone", Kai grabs his shirt. 

"I don't care about their conditions, I'm not going to let you walk into a trap".

Merthur makes a call. 

"Prepare the car, we have somewhere to be at"

"It's me they want, stop trying to be a damn savior and butting in"

"Hurry up, we don't have much time", he winked at Kai before walking out.

 The address leads to a crumbling factory in the outskirts of the city. 

"Stay behind me. Don't speak unless I tell you"

Walking inside, Nora is tied to a chair, tears falling from her eyes . 

"Kai, help me", she yelled. 

A lady steps out of the shadows, they immediately got surrounded by several masked masked vampires. 

"Merthur couldn't bear you coming alone. He has always been this stubborn", she slowly walked behind Nora. 

"I didn't plan for our reunion to be this way. It's been a long time, Merthur"

"You've lost your damn, Fiona", Merthur spat furiously. 

"You know her?", Kai asked, confused. 

"Yes, of course. We used to be best friends. Am I right, Merthur?"

"Let her go now", Merthur commands. 

"I have no business with you. Send the rare blood here and I would", she chuckled 

"I would come to you, just let me sister go", Kai muttered. 

"If you want him, you would have to go through me". Merthur clutches his hand furiously. 

"Have it your way". Immediately, snapping her finger. 

Suddenly, one of Merthur's guards steps forward, turning to point the gun at Merthur. 

"I'm sorry, Master". 

BANG! BANG!

Two gunshots echo through the building. Nora screams but Fiona held her in a place forcing her to watch what was going on. 

Merthur got shot at the shoulder, staggering. 

"No,no,no", Kai screams. 

His skin suddenly began to glow, his scent filled the air. The vampires freezes

"What…is this scent", a vampire guard said sniffing the air, drooling. 

Kai's eyes glow faintly, a bright glow knocking several vampire guards to their knees. 

Fiona smiles coldly. "Enough play time, let's get to business"

She places a knife on Nora's neck. 

"Come with us or your sister dies here and now"

Kai locks eyes with Merthur, who is clutching his bleeding shoulder. 

"Kai, don't", Methur rasped. 

"I'm sorry, Merthur," Kai whispers, eyes filled with tears running down his face. 

He takes a step forward towards Fiona.
