Attack On Demons

Chapter 12: Chapter 12 : Breach for James

James dangled on the shoulder of Tashida as he walked. Ash Gold walked beside him as they walked towards the eastern part of Tokyo. They were moving on foot, cars were not functional as the roads were badly damaged. Besides, everyone was either in the Home of Peace or Tokyo Hunters Guild.

"We have been walking for quite sometime and we haven't encountered the boss that's odd," Ash Gold noted. Tashida smirked as he walked.

"Probably one of the leaders slayed it." Tashida said. Ash Gold looked at him. He thought for a while. "You're right. The head of the Tokyo Hunters is Aaron. He just seems to be a genius in the battlefield. He can clear up a dungeon all by himself." Ash Gold said. Tashida smirked again.

"Spare me that. We've done that countless times. Anyway you look at it, we are stronger than he is." Tashida said in disgust. Ash Gold smiled.

"Yah you're right but either way it would be a great feat if Aaron or anyone defeats the boss as we predicted. The fore-runner equals to an Super rank boss. Judging by that, it is nearly impossible for any Tokyo hunter to defend themselves against a Legendary or even Super Legendary rank. Just impossible."

"So what's your opinion?" Tashida asked and stopped his movement.

"I don't have a clear insight but the streets have been quiet. Moreover we can't presume anything now. We didn't cover the whole city." Ash Gold said and smiled. Tashida stared at him.

"If you ask me, I will say you spare James." Ash Gold said calmly. Tashida stared at him in shock. "Are you serious? You want us to spare this criminal who killed the woman? Why do you say so?"

"I just feel he's innocent." Ash Gold said calmly

Tashida grinned lightly.

"Innocent of what exactly?" Aaron asked as he approached them. They turned to look at him.

"I was just going to check James at the portal and I bumped into you." Aaron said and stared at them. Tashida smirked lightly.

"So what is James innocent of? I believe my eyes are functioning quite well." Aaron asked. Tashida looked at him and chuckled lightly before speaking.

"Well your criminal friend of yours slayed an innocent woman in the open. Guess his sleazy attitude has begun again." Tashida retorted. Ash Gold just stared at Aaron.

"Aaron, you've become more of a legend in Tokyo than I expected. So now tell me , what exactly is the secret?" Ash Gold asked. His eyes flickered with anxiety.

"Sorry but I have get James. He is following me back to the Guild." Aaron declared still staring at Ash Gold. Tashida smiled.

"You seem to be blinded by your own stupidity. I wouldn't like to remind you that I am a Central Hunter and you have no right to challenge my decisions." Tashida put out. Aaron smirked.

"Of course I can't forget the one Central Hunter who hates me and my existence, Tashida." Aaron said stressing the last words. "But in a matter like this, I have the say. James is a Hunter under my command and as such, I decide what to do with him." Aaron argued.

"So also are you a Hunter under my command." Tashida said with pride.

Aaron stared at Tashida in disgust. He knew that Tashida was a God rank. Aaron knew all this but he wasn't going to back off. He would not allow them to take his friend.

"Do you also know that this very criminal you say ignited my team to save Tokyo? Do you know that he's the hero that saved every human alive in this city?" Aaron said. Ash Gold stared at him in shock.

"I hate to admit but James Istellar is more of a hero than I am. He has the interest of the people at heart and that's what makes him a true leader. A leader better of than you two." Aaron barked.

"Okay that's enough. I'm taking this ass down!" Tashida said and dropped James to the ground. Aaron smiled lightly.

"Look at you, you want to fight me because of a single man. When Tokyo needed men of your caliber where were you? Instead, you guys sent a dumb message, telling us to be mute and not to engage the demons. Do you fuckers know how many lives we lost?!" Aaron barked as tears hung in his eyes but soon a smirk appeared on his lips.

"All I want is the one man who snapped us out of our own stupidity. I want him now!!" Aaron thundered.

"Wait did you just say a message from the Central Hunters?" Ash Gold asked looking a little bit puzzled. Aaron turned fiercely to stare at him.

"Yah, and so what?" Aaron asked coldly.

"That's very odd. Everything seems odd." Ash Gold said lightly.

"Just shut your damn mouth up and give me James!!" Aaron barked wildly. Then he noticed a look of concern on the faces of both Ash Gold and Tashida. He stopped blankly.

"What is the matter?" he asked.

"We never sent words to your team, not in message or anything so my question is how did you get the message?" Tashida asked puzzled.
