Chapter 263: Collapse Part 1: The First Wish
Through the darkest pits of hell, even those who seek the light can find it. For those who do find it, they realize the despair they put others through.
In a galaxy filled with stars shining bright. Only one thing could outshine them. The child of the stars. A prodigy of light and purity. Anyone who viewed the moment from elsewhere would feel the surge of power. The would feel the wave of gold rush through them before they looked up into the sky and saw the bright flash of gold. Followed by a blinding white flash with waves of color jetting out from the epicenter of the universe. The battle would be unexplained for a few years before rumors began to spread like wildfire.
These rumors were told from the source of one man who saw it from close up. No one else was close enough to the battle where it happened. A single man was the one who caused the destruction of it all. Astral. Over the years from this battle the rumor spread far and wide that the army Astral possessed was outnumbered by one hundred thousand to one and he made it a stalemate himself. The people worshipped him and prayed for a return. Treating him like a god as he could save any of their positions and situations. A savior and defender.
After one thousand years. He turned into a myth. Believed to never return. Far from the truth as one of the few who would remember him awoke. A man standing at six feet with scruffy brown hair stood straight up as he looked around a wooded area with his warm purple eyes. "I need to stop pushing my limits." He looked around as he felt not himself. His eyes darted around as he looked for the closest body of water. Finding a gentle stream as he looked into it. He was not the man to be feared. But a completely different one instead.
"I have all of your memories and thoughts from before that moment. I wonder if you ever will remember it the same as I." He started to think out loud. "I could in theory start the empire here once again and wait in queue for your return. It would not be your first wish however. That shall be my first goal, solving the issue we had before. Something has shifted however. I am the only awake one. I need some more resources to fully dive into our project. If I have access I could grab the few things I need directly from you."
He opened the palm of his hand as a tiny white ball formed. He reached in and grabbed a leather tunic and a purple scarf. Grabbing a short sword as he now had a basic defense. "My pride will be to serve you even if you never return. I will rebuild our empire with far more powerful people than just the twins. And track down the others for you. Come to me first. I am your warrior of your army." He boasted to himself as he went around the forest and summoned an axe. Spending the remainder of the day working on a small cabin for himself. By the cover of night he had a roof over his head as he lay on the wooden floor.
"All I wish to do is complete what you never had the chance to." He popped up as he realized he had no bedframe or anything inside of the cabin. He held up his hand and clapped. The white orb appeared as it summoned a bed, blankets, and a table. He laid down and looked up to the ceiling. Closing his eyes as he would begin to talk in his sleep. "Your wish, my will."
The sun peeked above the horizon as he hopped out of bed eagerly to begin. He went to the creek and took a sip of water to begin his day. Filling up two buckets of water as he went back inside and crafted a chair to begin his technological filled day of work. The circuit boards required could be summoned from Astral's vast resources. The satellite could in theory connect to the Merle's and he could survey most of the observed universe. Some small pockets would have a harder time to be reached than even he knew.
The day turned into a week as he welded together the circuit boards and wired the loose ends. He wondered how the programming would go. He didn't have the same keyboard and armor set that Astral did. He didn't need them however. He pulled out an old acrylic metal keyboard as he began to type up the script that he wanted to find for level of power to be found. The relay he looked at was the tricky part. He was happy as he got to the first part. He looked at the screen as he had no signal. He took a sip of water as he looked at the screen and its lack of showing him what he wanted to see.
"I can tell what one of the issues is." He typed a couple of passcodes onto the keyboard over and over until he got some results. An image appeared on the screen with three people looking at him. "Codename Spartacus." They all looked at him in awe.
"Look, we have extra protocols in place. I can't just allow for whatever you want." Cali looked deep into the screen as Anders stood to his left and Merle was on his right. "If I gave you access it has to be for a great reason." Cali stood firm as the man in front of him used a callsign that was deeply hidden under all of Astral's a strategy booklet of its own.
"Check file name using Adam's code called 'Operation Chess Match' and 'Callsign Promotion' those two should explain Astral's wish." He gave out the inner secrets as Cali looked them up. "Both protocols are meant to find more powerful people than the twins. You three know that as strong as Astral is, the three of them can't do what they did against the higher powers. You need more and even if you refind Lone. Astral will be without his second and third in command." Cali was reading the scripts as he nodded along with him.
"Well. Fuck." Cali looked at the files and typed something on the tablet. Astrid appeared and looked directly at the man.
"Quilbi, you are now known as Quilbi. Astral had variations named in his roman warfare bundle and that was his go to." Astrid smiled as she was in a dark and barren. None of the three recognized it other than Cali as he sighed.
"What does this mean? Do I have access to the sonar?" Quilbi asked as Astrid nodded. "Being his creation means you are the one in charge. Second to none." He smiled as the sonar came on. He looked at the sonar as it slowly came to life. He watched as he looked at the screen. Watching slowly as he viewed each and every place that had been affected. He felt the power of the universe surge. It had gone up exceptionally since that moment. Things were to be a more difficult time pending any resurgence from Astral.
But he was going to fix that starting here.
