Freed's confidence crumbled. "No… No human can take that! What the hell are you?!"

Desperation took hold as Freed lunged with his light sword, but Shiro caught the blade with one hand. Sparks danced across the metal as Shiro's grip tightened. The sword began to crack under the pressure until, finally, it shattered into fragments.

Freed stumbled back, eyes wide with disbelief. "No! This can't be happening!"

Shiro's voice dropped, cold and deadly. "I really hate it when people talk like that about my friends. I try to keep my temper in check, but when they hurt the people I care about…"

Freed raised his pistol, pressing it directly against Shiro's forehead. The gun fired, and the impact shaved off another chunk of Shiro's health.

Shiro barely flinched. "My turn."

Freed's face drained of color. "Shit."

Before he could move, Shiro's fist collided with his jaw, launching him into the air. Without hesitation, Shiro summoned his sword, leaping after him and slashing through Freed's body in a single, fluid motion. Blood painted the ground as Freed's body fell in two pieces.

Shiro landed lightly, his breath steady despite the fight's intensity. He turned to Asia, who had collapsed to her knees, tears streaming down her face.

"It's over," Shiro said softly, pulling her into a protective hug. "You're safe now."

Asia buried her face in his chest, sobbing uncontrollably.

Not wanting to leave Freed's remains behind, Shiro ignited a Hell Flare, engulfing what was left of the rogue priest and reducing him to ash.

Then, without another word, he lifted Asia into his arms and carried her home.

….

Student Council Room

Sona stared at the lingering pressure in the air, her expression unreadable.

"Is he really human?"

Tsubaki stood beside her, clearly shaken. "I… I don't think so."

….

Shiro pushed the door open, stepping inside with Asia still in his arms. Koneko was lounging on the couch, flipping through channels when she turned toward them.

Koneko crossed her arms, fixing me with a sharp look as she took in my blood-soaked appearance and Asia's tear-streaked face.

"I leave you alone for what—two hours? And you come back covered in blood? What did you do, kill someone?"

I wiped at a smear of dried blood on my cheek and met her gaze without hesitation.

"Yep."

Koneko blinked. "Okay… the hell?"

After Explaining….

Koneko leaned back in her chair, pinching the bridge of her nose. "So let me get this straight—you killed a rogue priest, burned his body to ash, and carried Asia home like a damn knight covered in blood?"

"That about sums it up."

Koneko sighed but didn't argue. "We're going to school tomorrow. Asia, we still have to get you registered, so you'll stay here with Alucard. He'll protect you."

Asia nodded quickly. "I know. He's really nice."

"Where is Alucard anyway?" I asked, scanning the room.

Koneko shrugged. "Still locked in his room, captivated by the TV."

A smirk tugged at my lips. "I'm tempted to get him some DVDs of that Twilight series."

Koneko shot me a flat look. "He'd kill you."

I leaned back in my chair. "He can try."

In the Morning:-

The walk to school was… interesting. Koneko and I held hands, and the whispers started the moment we stepped through the gates. Some students were whispering about my outfit, while others gawked at Koneko openly.

I kept my stride casual until an announcement boomed over the speakers.

"Will Shiro Aizawa please come to the Student Council room? I repeat, will Shiro Aizawa please come to the Student Council room?"

Koneko tugged my hand, pulling me to a stop. "What did you do this time?"

"I've been with you all morning. If you don't know, then I don't know."

Her gaze flicked down to my outfit—Goku Black's attire, complete with the black gi and crimson belt. "Maybe it's because you're not wearing the uniform?"

I shrugged. "I tried. My muscles got too big."

"Just behave yourself," Koneko warned.

"You know me—if I can cause trouble, I will."

We parted ways at the hall, and I noticed more stares as I made my way toward the Student Council room. Most students seemed impressed, a few even complimenting my outfit. I told them the truth—it wasn't a fashion statement. The uniform simply didn't fit anymore.

….

I knocked on the double doors before hearing Sona's calm voice.

"Come in."

I stepped inside and saw Sona sitting on the couch with Tsubaki. A chessboard was set up between them, pieces arranged mid-game.

"Shiro," Sona greeted, gesturing toward the couch opposite her. "Care to play a round while we talk?"

I took the seat she offered, eyeing the board. "I don't see why not."

Sona smiled faintly as she made the first move. "I have to ask—why aren't you in uniform?"

"It's too small."

She blinked at that. "I see. I'll have a new one ordered for you."

"Thanks."

"It's no problem."

I studied the board and moved my first piece. "So, was this about my wardrobe, or is there another reason you called me here, Miss Sitri?"

Both Sona and Tsubaki froze for a fraction of a second before exchanging glances.

"You know my family name," Sona said, her voice carefully neutral.

I smirked. "I know a lot. But let's just say you have your secrets, and I have mine."

She leaned back slightly, clearly reevaluating me. "Fair enough. Then I assume you're already familiar with the peerage system, since Rias approached you."

Shiro leaned back slightly, his gaze steady as he responded. "Yeah, I know the system pretty well."

Sona adjusted her glasses, leaning forward slightly. "Then I'll get straight to the point. I'd like you to join my peerage."

Shiro tilted his head, considering her words carefully. "Hmm… I'm really not sure."

Sona arched an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

"It's not that I don't trust you. You seem like a good person, and I don't doubt your leadership," Shiro admitted, his expression serious. "But the truth is, I'm just not comfortable with the idea of becoming a devil. At least, not yet. And honestly? I don't know much about your peerage compared to Rias's."
