Chapter 25: 25. The Aria XXII
Gasps and murmurs floated around, as the people gathered on the side of the road while gazing fearfully at the bloodied knight on top of the horse.
His dark armor had been coated in dried-up blood, along with his platinum hair, which looked crimson, and this only caused the people to be more afraid of him as they dared to not gaze at him directly.

They couldn't see his visage hidden by the mask, but all of them were sure that it would be nothing short of demonic.
Not many had seen the true face of the 'Hound,', but there were rumors that the Baron had a face so scary that even a mother couldn't love.
But still, even if they feared him, they couldn't help but admire and respect him because even if he was mad, he was still protecting the realm.
Nobody could question his loyalty to the crown, and recently, there had even been a sentiment that the Baron was completely responsible for the prosperity of Britannia.
The person in question may be unaware of these sentiments, and even if he did, he would not care about them.
He was just doing what he had to because of a promise he made to someone...
....
King Uther Pendragon was sitting on his throne with his court in attendance.
He had his usual cold face which radiated no emotions.
He summoned the court because his loyal 'Hound' was coming back from doing his duty.
When thinking of the man Uther felt disgust well up inside of him.
Every King loved a capable general but no King likes a General who is too capable or strong especially one with such prestige.
The war against the mystic creatures , the vampires the undead , everything was dealt easily by his 'Hound'...Baron Siegfried Fraenis.
He was loyal , but any man in a position of power would fear someone that could decimate armies on his own.
And his prestige would make anybody jealous. No King would want a noble under him to have more prestige than him.
But Siegfried was far too useful and as long his daughter existed , he didn't have to worry about any betrayals.
Uther turned his gaze to a young woman with golden blonde hair and sparkling emarald eyes.
Uther couldn't help but click his tongue internally at the visible anticipation in her eyes , he didn't like it one bit.
Even if he was dissapointed that Artoria was not a boy , she was still the person who was supposed to save Britain although it's not needed now.
{ She didn't need to pull out the sword of selection here thus she resembles Lancer Artoria }
Still she was his daughter and he didn't like her to be this close to a low born.
She was Royalty, and even if a woman she would have to rule Britain one day if he doesn't have any male heirs.
And he doubted any of his children would be as powerful or capable as Artoria since Artoria had the blessing of the Welsh Dragon.
But a woman couldn't be King , that has always weighed on Uther's mind.
He regretted sending Artoria away with Merlin , if he hadn't then he wouldn't have to deal with the headache he was facing right now.
Uther didn't value Siegfried due to his low birth and maybe it was his jealousy and inferiority or lack of real respect.
Uther could feel that the Young man didn't respect him at all and the only reason he would even bother bending his knees and act humble was due to Artoria.
That irked him , he was a King , and he wasn't a humble and kind King.
But it was good that the boy knew his limits and had never overstepped his bounds.
With all the achievements he has had , there was a reason he was just the lowest rank of nobility.
Siegfried had saved the Kings life in the battle against Vortigen and had gravely injured the incarnation of the White dragon forcing him to retreat.
And had repeatedly defended the realm in all the conflicts, he had went to the borders to suppress rebellions , all in hopes of being worthy.
'Ah~ Sweet love , how wonderful ~' Uther thought sarcastically in his mind.
But the problem was... Siegfried would never be worthy, and as long as he was alive he would never let Artoria be with him.
The reason was simple , he didn't like him. That's all , plain and simple.
It's not like he needed a very detailed reason to not like someone , Uther just didn't like the boy.
From the moment he laid eyes on the boy , he had never liked him.
Something about Siegfried irked him , maybe it was his strength or his charisma or even his charm.
A Boy of commoners birth was much superior to him and seeing this bruised his ego. And he had a massive one.
So seeing that Siegfried had feelings for his daughter made Utter decide to never let him have his way.
He didn't like that Artoria was pining for someone like him when she was a Royal princess.
Uther lightly glanced at Artoria who had a calm face but he could feel her excitement and it caused him to be a bit annoyed.
But he had thought of a perfect solution and he couldn't help but be filled with excitement about what was about to happen.
Uther turned his gaze to his other daughter who was standing beside Artoria with a Cold Face.....
