Back in the ravines of Zaun, the hidden lair of Bael and Jinx was a marvel of engineering and chaos—an amalgamation of Bael's meticulous craftsmanship and Jinx's unpredictable creativity. The cavernous space was filled with wires, tools, and half-finished inventions scattered alongside Jinx's brightly colored graffiti. Above them hung a series of makeshift lights, and below, the seemingly bottomless void of the ravine loomed ominously.

Bael sat at his workbench, his focus unwavering as he carefully adjusted the delicate components of his latest creation. The rhythmic hum of the lair was interrupted only by Jinx's enthusiastic karaoke session, her voice echoing through the cavern as she belted out her signature song, Get Jinxed.

"So much better, so much fun! Let's start from scratch and blow up the sun!" she sang with wild abandon, twirling around with a makeshift microphone.

Bael couldn't help but smile as he worked. Her energy was infectious, even when she was completely off-key. He tightened the last bolt on the device in his hand, holding it up to inspect it, when he felt her arms wrap around him from behind.

"What'cha doing?" Jinx asked, resting her chin on his shoulder as she peered curiously at his work. Her hair, now a chaotic mix of braids and loose strands, brushed against his cheek.

Bael chuckled, leaning back slightly into her embrace. "Just doing some fixes and upgrades to my battle arm. It should be way more potent and powerful now..." He teases.

Jinx's eyes lit up with excitement. "A lot more boom, huh? Now you're speaking my language!" She slid around to face him, perching herself on the edge of the workbench. "How much boom are we talking here? Enough to take out, say, a Hexgate? Or maybe Piltover's fancy bridge?"

Bael shook his head, amused. "Let's not get ahead of ourselves. This is just a simple upgarde, i we're talking mass destruction, them i'll have to incorporate Hextech... But the formula is sgill not ready..." He says.

Jinx grinned mischievously, her fingers itching to grab the device. "You know me so well, Bael. Come on, let me give it a whirl! Just one little boom! Pretty please?"

He held it out of her reach with his mechanical arm, smirking. "Patience, Jinx. There will come a time where everything around us will go boom and boom, if we do everything correctly. But for now, we gotta

She pouted dramatically, crossing her arms. "Fine. But if you're holding out on me, I'll just have to find something else to blow up."

Bael raised an eyebrow, his tone teasing. "You mean like last time, when you 'accidentally' rigged the ventilation system to backfire which made the lair unaccessible for two weeks ?"

Jinx's grin widened, unrepentant. "That was hilarious, and you know it!"

He laughed, shaking his head as he set the prototype down carefully. "You're impossible."

"And you wouldn't have me any other way," she shot back, hopping off the workbench.

Jinx picked up her makeshift microphone again and spun around, her voice echoing through the lair once more as she resumed her song. Bael watched her for a moment, a faint smile on his lips.

As Jinx finished the last verse of her song with an overly dramatic flourish, she plopped down on a nearby chair, spinning herself around with a wide grin. Bael leaned back in his own chair, wiping his hands on a cloth as he looked at her.

"Hey, Jinx," Bael started, his tone softer now. She stopped spinning, tilting her head curiously at him.

"Yeah, Baely-boy?" she replied, her voice playful but her eyes attentive.

"I've been thinking... about everything we've built together during these years. Our reputation, the power we've carved out for ourselves... but more than that, our bond."

Jinx's grin softened slightly, and for a moment, the wild energy in her gaze seemed to flicker with something deeper.

"I wouldn't have made it this far without you," he continued. "You've been my partner, no, my family through all of it—the chaos, the danger, the victories. I'm... grateful for everything, Powder. For you."

She stared at him, her lips twitching like she couldn't decide whether to grin or cry. In true Jinx fashion, she did neither. Instead, she leapt up from her chair and lunged at him, wrapping her arms around his neck in a tight hug that nearly knocked him out of his seat.

"Bael, you big ol' softie!" she exclaimed, her voice a mix of laughter and something more vulnerable. "You're makin' me all mushy inside! Stop it before I start bawling like a kid or somethin'!"

Bael chuckled, hugging her back with his good arm while his mechanical one rested against the table. "Just being honest, Jinx. We've been through a lot, and... I wouldn't trade any of it for the world."

She pulled back slightly, her hands still gripping his shoulders as she looked at him with a wild but sincere smile. "Damn right, you wouldn't! We're unstoppable, Bael. You and me against the world! Nobody messes with us!" She said, giving him a small punch on the shoulder.

He nodded, a small smile playing on his lips. "Nobody messes with us," he echoed.

Jinx ruffled his hair playfully before hopping back onto the workbench. "Alright, sappy time's over! Back to business. What's next on our 'let's take over the world' agenda, huh?"

Bael's voice took on a sharp edge as he explained, his eyes locked on the intricate device before him. "Listen, Jinx, this isn't just another one of our wild experiments. This invention is serious business. If I manage to crack this, we'll be able to harness the full power of the blue crystals and turn them into Hextech weapons."

He paused, adjusting a small gear with precision. "If we beat Piltover to it, they won't stand a chance. We'll be unstoppable."

Jinx leaned against the wall, twirling a screwdriver in her fingers, her usual manic grin creeping across her face. "Ooooh, 'unstoppable,' huh? Sounds like my kind of party!" She stood upright and spun toward him, mock-saluting. "So, what do ya need me to do, oh great genius?"

Bael smirked at her antics but kept his focus on the device. "Take the blue crystal and place it on the altar," he said, gesturing toward the platform in the center of the room. "I'll adjust the frequencies and see if I can modulate the device's power to adapt to the crystal's core energy."

Jinx skipped over to the crystal, picking it up delicately—well, as delicately as Jinx could manage. "You mean this little guy? Our shiny, glowy ticket to taking over the world?" She held it up, letting it catch the dim light of their lair.

"Yes, that one," Bael replied dryly, giving her a sidelong glance. "Just... don't drop it, okay?"

She cackled as she approached the altar. "Oh, c'mon, Bael! You know I've got steady hands!" Her expression shifted into a sly grin. "Well, most of the time."

Bael groaned under his breath as he continued adjusting the dials on the machine. "Jinx, I mean it. This isn't something we can afford to screw up."

"Relax, relax!" she said, carefully placing the crystal on the altar. The room seemed to dim slightly as the blue crystal settled into place, its glow intensifying and pulsing faintly.

"Perfect," Bael muttered, his eyes lighting up with focus. He began twisting knobs and flipping switches on the console, the machine humming to life. Sparks flickered from its core as the frequencies began to align.

Jinx leaned closer, watching the device with wide, fascinated eyes. "Ooooh, shiny! What happens if it explodes? Do we, like, turn into dust? Or maybe just big red splats on the wall?"

Bael shot her a quick glare. "Not helping, Jinx."

She raised her hands in mock surrender, laughing. "Fine, fine! Just hurry it up. I'm dying to see what this bad boy can do."

The machine's hum grew louder, the crystal pulsing in tandem with the energy it was absorbing. Bael gritted his teeth, his hands steady as he fine-tuned the device. "Almost... there..."

Jinx was practically bouncing on her heels, excitement radiating off her. "Come on, Bael! Let's make some magic happen!"

Bael adjusted one last dial, and the machine roared to life, arcs of energy crackling around it. The room was bathed in a brilliant blue light, and the air buzzed with power. Bael stepped back, shielding his face as the device stabilized.

Suddenly, the blue crystal orb on the altar began to pulsate violently, its glow flickering erratically. Sparks erupted from the device as the machine struggled to contain the energy. The once steady hum turned into a chaotic screech, and the air in the room grew heavy with tension.

Bael's eyes widened as he realized what was happening. He darted back to the control panel, frantically twisting dials and flipping switches. "This is bad! Really bad! The frequencies are out of sync—it's going to blow if I don't stabilize it!"

Jinx, who had been gleefully watching the show, tilted her head and leaned closer to the altar, her curiosity piqued. "Whoa, is it supposed to do that? Kinda looks like it's dancing! Or maybe it's mad?" She laughed, completely unbothered.

"Jinx, step back!" Bael barked, his voice sharper than usual. "I mean it! This isn't a game!"

Her grin faltered slightly as she backed up, her gaze flicking between Bael and the pulsating crystal. "Alright, alright, boss man. But you better not break it! That thing's our golden goose!"

Bael ignored her quip, his fingers flying across the controls as he tried to recalibrate the frequencies. Sweat dripped down his forehead as the machine bucked under the strain. The blue crystal's light grew brighter and more unstable, casting wild shadows across the lair.

"Come on, come on..." he muttered under his breath, his mind racing. He adjusted one of the primary oscillators, but the orb only grew more erratic, the arcs of energy now lashing out like whips.

Jinx crouched nearby, watching with a mix of fascination and concern. "Hey, Bael... if this thing goes kaboom, how big are we talking? Like, just this room, or, y'know... all of Zaun?"

"Not helping, Jinx!" he snapped, his voice tight with concentration.

"Alright, jeez! Don't blow a fuse," she muttered, crossing her arms but staying close enough to jump in if needed.

Bael's hands were a blur as he rerouted power and tried a last-ditch effort to synchronize the frequencies. The machine groaned under the strain, sparks flying as the crystal's glow reached a blinding intensity.

"Almost... got it..." Bael gritted his teeth, every muscle in his body tense as he twisted one final dial.

For a brief moment, everything froze. The pulsating light of the crystal steadied, the arcs of energy retracted, and the machine hummed softly, as though holding its breath.

Then, with a sharp crackle, the orb stabilized, its light returning to a calm, steady glow. Bael let out a shaky breath, his hands trembling as he stepped back from the console.

Jinx burst out laughing, clapping her hands. "HA! You did it! I mean, I totally knew you would, but man, that was close! You should've seen your face—priceless!"

Bael shot her a glare, though relief was evident in his eyes. "Yeah, hilarious. Let's just be glad we're not a pair of scorch marks on the wall."

Jinx skipped over to the altar, poking the now-stable crystal. "Sooo, does this mean it works? Can we blow something up now?"

Bael sighed, rubbing his temples. "No. It means I need to make more adjustments. That was too close, Jinx. If this thing goes off, it's not just us—it's half of Zaun."

With the blue orb now in control, Bael adjusted the tension input, carefully modulating it to determine the optimal value for extracting energy from the crystal. He monitored the readings, sweat forming on his brow as he fine-tuned the device.

Suddenly, as the tension reached a critical point, an unnatural phenomenon began to unfold. The air seemed to hum with an eerie vibration, and objects around the room began to lift off the ground. Tools, scrap metal, and even the chair Bael had been sitting on started floating, as if gravity itself had reversed.

"What the—" Bael muttered, his eyes darting between the floating objects and the glowing orb. The light emanating from the orb pulsed rhythmically, bathing the room in a brilliant, otherworldly hue.

Jinx, who had been observing from a nearby ledge, started laughing hysterically as her hair floated around her like a wild halo. "HAHA! WHAT IS THIS?! DID YOU JUST BREAK GRAVITY, BAEL?!" She spun around in the air, treating the chaotic scene like a game.

"Jinx, this isn't funny!" Bael shouted, his voice laced with urgency. "The crystal's energy output is destabilizing the environment! I need to shut this down before it—"

Before he could finish, the orb emitted a sudden, thunderous pulse of energy. A shockwave rippled through the lair, causing the floating objects to spin wildly. The altar began to crack under the pressure, and arcs of pure energy surged through the air.

Bael gritted his teeth and rushed to the console, his robotic arm moving with precision as he attempted to recalibrate the device. "Come on... come on..." he muttered, frantically entering new values into the control panel.

Jinx floated beside him, her excitement undeterred. "THIS IS AMAZING! LOOK AT IT! IT'S LIKE THE WORLD TURNED UPSIDE DOWN!" she exclaimed, kicking a floating wrench like it was a soccer ball.

"Jinx, if I don't fix this, the whole place could collapse!" Bael snapped, sweat dripping down his face as he worked against the clock.

Finally, with one final adjustment, the orb's pulsations began to slow, the glow dimming to a manageable level. One by one, the floating objects gently descended back to the ground. The eerie hum dissipated, leaving an almost deafening silence in its wake.

Bael collapsed into his chair, breathing heavily. "That... was way too close," he said, his voice hoarse.

Jinx, still grinning ear to ear, plopped down next to him. "That was awesome, though! Let's do it again!" she said, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

Bael gave her a tired glare. "Jinx, if we 'do it again,' we might not live to see the outcome," he said, shaking his head. "This thing has potential, but it's dangerous. I need to refine the system before we test it any further."

Jinx leaned back, still giggling to herself. "Fine, fine. But I gotta say, Bael... you're one hell of a genius. Who else could break gravity and not blow up the place?"

Bael smirked faintly, despite himself. "Let's just focus on making sure the next test doesn't break reality, alright?"

Jinx gave him a playful salute, already looking forward to whatever chaos the next experiment would bring.
