We arrived moments later, only to see people running out of a building panicked, while masked men were going around the lobby demanding money and threatening the employees.

" I'll go for the robbers, while you clear out bystanders and make sure nobody gets hurt. Oh, and watch out for any stragglers that try to get away. " She quickly said.

Nodding in understanding I transformed out of my winged form and into my human form. As soon as I was back, you could see me wearing black jeans and a white shirt which was under a black leather jacket. I was also wearing a half mask that covered my mouth and nose, along with a domino mask to hide my eyes.

Except for the belt I had asked for to house my talismans I hadn't seen the need to ask for a suit of my own. I didn't exactly need a suit for protection since I had my talismans and I wasn't exactly a tights kind of guy. Maybe in the future I would consider, but at least for now I would just go with what I have right now. Clothes in the end were still just clothes. So long as I didn't look like a complete fool and it did its job against the reigning elements, it was hard to really care too much. And since I couldn't afford the better stuff, this will have to do.

The air suddenly shifted after Wonderwoman blasted off and I was summarily tossed through the air. I quickly shifted into a bird trying to catch myself mid-air only to glance over my shoulder and chirp in alarm as an arrow narrowly missed me. I quickly shifted back into my human form again."Fuck, watch where you're shooting that thing!"

My opponent gave me a vicious grin and took aim once again. " Sorry, I don't have time for sidekicks, got a bank to rob and all that."

Funny enough, the woman looked like she was trying to imitate Green Arrow not that I understand why would anyone try to do that, and judging by the bow and heart shaped arrows. She was also wearing green tight fitting leather pants that didn't leave much to the imagination and what looked like a green sports bra, but was also made out of leather and happened to be quite revealing. It kind of reminded me of those slutty nurse outfits those sorority girls would wear at Halloween parties or something.

" Say, does your costume have a special power and can generate a protective magic field, that covers your torso?" I suddenly asked.

" What?"

I gave a pointed look towards her naked torso and at my questioning look, she looked quite annoyed. " For your information, I'm wearing this because it makes movement a lot easier and anything strong enough to stop a bullet would hinder my movements too much."

" Riiight. I totally believe that's the reason."

Which I totally didn't, especially when this world had access to frankly a ridiculous amount of advanced technology. In fact most of the squisher and less durable members of the league had access to durable and lightweight materials that could easily stop a low caliber bullet amd wouldn't hinder their movements. The same material I had my leather jacket and jeans made out of.

Hell, even whoever shot batman had to use some bullshit high caliber bullet strong enough to go through the bulletproof clothes he had on him, so unless she's just using it as a distraction I can't see why would she wear something like this in a high combat situation.

My hand quickly shot towards the rabbit talisman I had on my belt and it was just in time to dodge the next volley of arrows headed towards me.

Unfortunately ever since Zatara transfered the Ox Talisman's power to my body, even if I wasn't actively using the Ox talisman, the number of talismans I could use simultaneously went down to one, since the Ox Talismans power already dwells within me. Therefore I had to change my tactics and alter my fighting style to accommodate this limitation.

Hence, depending on the scenario I found myself in, I needed to always have the ability to quickly think on my feet and adapt to any situation.

The world around me slowed almost to a halt, though I could see the arrows moving at a slow speed in the air. I quickly located every single employee in the bank and quickly started evacuating everyone out. By the time I was done the arrows had finally reached my earlier position.

Time resumed and from the perspective of the woman I now recognized as Cupid a supervillaness and one Green Arrow's rogue gallery. I was still standing where I was but this time I held 3 arrows in my hand.

" You should save your arrows. Because I doubt you're fast enough to hit me." I said.

Her stunned expression quickly turned to a smirk as she shot me a vicious grin. " Maybe next time you shouldn't touch what isn't yours."

*Beep* *Beep* *Beep*

*Bang!!!*

The explosion slung me to the air where I bounced off the ground a few times, before I came to a stop. The concrete broke and shattered as I groaned in pain, and I felt at least one limb was broken if that snapping sound was what I think it was.

' Of course they're rigged arrows. Why wouldn't a crazy chick with bikini armor put an explosive device on an arrow head and just carry it around, when she went to rob a bank. ' I internally complained.

I heard footsteps coming towards me and the crunch of gravel under some boots. I craned my head to see who was standing above me and sure enough she was standing their with an arrow notched and ready to be set loose.

" Where the hell is Green Arrow? I thought this city was his turf, why isn't he here?" She asked.

I coughed and gave her a bloody smile, " Didn't you hear? He's out of town."
