You love me (BETRAYAL)

Chapter 25: Love is a thing of the past

Menalla left Chris in the restaurant she had left him after getting the explanation she desired, knowing the whole truth. But for her, that was it; she wasn't going to return to him for love. Love, to her, was a thing of the past. Now, all she sought was a better job that would offer a higher salary so she could pay for her dad's medical bills and find out who had caused the accident that took her parents.

Hosea woke up next to Beatrice. They had both fallen asleep after their intimacy, and it was now morning. Beatrice had awakened first and was staring at his face. As Hosea opened his eyes, he was greated with a warm kiss from her. "I love you, Hosea," she whispered as she kissed him again. Her lips were soft and smooth, tasting like honey mixed with milk. But Hosea wasn't focused on that; her words echoed in his ears. She kissed him again and added, "You know I wish to wake up beside you every morning, just like this."

Beatrice smiled at him, and he smiled back, pulling her closer. "One last kiss, Beatrice," he said as he leaned in to kiss her. But then Beatrice drew back. "So, is that a yes? You still love me, right?" she asked, leaning in again and kissing him. At first, it was soft, but then she gradually intensified the kiss, almost as if trying to compel him to say yes. Soon, however, Hosea pulled away from her.

He rose from the bed and walked to the wardrobe, where he took out a bathrobe. Standing in the room, he turned to Beatrice and said, "You are my father's wife, Beatrice, and that makes you my stepmother. That's all you will be to me. What happened between us is in the past, and it will stay that way."

"What do you mean, Hosea?" she asked, confused., sitting up in bed. She was still naked, and her alluring breasts were exposed.

"I mean this will be our last sexual encounter. Let's just act like it never happened because it was never supposed to happen. You are married to my father, and what we've done is a betrayal to him," he explained, walking to a chair and sitting down, facing her.

"I may be married to your father, but it's you I love, not him." Upon hearing this, Hosea rose from his seat, picked up her nightgown and panties from the ground, and threw them to her. "Cover yourself," he said.

Beatrice paid no attention to his words. "I love you, Hosea. I love you with all my heart…"

Hosea cut her off before she could finish. "If you truly love me as you say you do, then you shouldn't have married my father."

She reached out to him and took his hand, saying, "I had no choice, Hosea. I did what I thought was best." She hugged him tightly, pressing her breasts against him. "I'm willing to do anything it takes. I will go wherever you take me."

He turned to her and smiled. "If I am to say yes, where will we go?"

She released him from the hug and looked up at him. "Anywhere, to the ends of the Earth, to a place where we will not be judged by anyone. We will be happy together: just me, you, and Moses." She kissed him on the cheek and spoke softly, "I know you still love me. Even though you've been acting like you don't, I can see it in your eyes. You want me; you want me badly."

She leaned in to kiss him, but Hosea turned away. "Put on your clothes and leave my room. Don't let the maid see you when you come out." He pushed her away. "As for love, I have long severed my ties to it. It's a decision I've made; I will never fall in love again, not in this life or the next."

Hosea smiled and walked towards the door. "You already made love to me twice, Hosea, and you kissed me this morning. You're just lying to yourself; you still love me, and deep down, you know it."

Hosea stopped when he heard her speak. After she finished, he turned to her. "What I have with you is just sexual intercourse. Yes, it was fun; I enjoyed it. You were the one who offered yourself to me, so I had fun, and I know you did too. But sex does not mean love. I just used you to satisfy my desires, and I know you enjoyed it as well."

Beatrice rose, dragged Hosea to a chair, and sat in his lap, exploring his mouth with hers. "Tell me you don't want me. Tell me…" she whispered, kissing him more fiercely. "I can see it in your eyes; you want me and you love me."

Hosea grabbed her by the waist and lifted her slightly, looking deeply into her eyes. Beatrice adjusted herself, breasts pressing against him as his hands rested on her thighs. She gazed at him hopefully. "Is that a lie? Can you see it now, Hosea? What you did for me was love, and such love can never die. You may try to hide it, but it's still there. So stop playing games with me just say the word: I still love you, and I can't stop loving you. I know you feel it too; I can see it in your eyes."

Hosea looked at her, his expression turning serious. "You want the truth? Well, here it is," he said as he gently seated her back in the chair. "I… I love…"
