Chapter 220 - 220: Comedy Scene
Chapter 220: Chapter 220: Comedy Scene
“Jun, what the hell did you inject him with?” Bai Lang had already noticed that it was Mo Jun’s potion taking effect.
Hao Yansen was also looking at Mo Jun with puzzlement.
Mo Jun sneered, “Nothing but a digestive aid, just to let him taste the pangs of hunger.”
What?!
Everyone staggered!
They had thought she had come up with some powerful drug, but, in the end…
“Pfft…” Yun Long couldn’t help but burst out laughing, “Xiaojun, he’s not me, starving won’t work on him!”
“Hahaha, starving, hahaha…” Lin Feng laughed like a fool, “Miss Mo Jun, you are too adorable. Indeed, when it comes to coercing confessions, it’s better left to us professionals!”
Others, including the armed personnel and captives from the Heavenly Sect, couldn’t help but want to laugh.
They really thought this woman had something formidable up her sleeve.
The result was just a digestive agent, merely something to make Chu Zhongtian go hungry.
Mama mia, was this woman here for laughs?
Bai Lang was also laughing uncontrollably, “Jun, are you sure this is how you want to treat him?”
But Mo Jun’s face was serious, “Of course.”
“Hahahaha…” Bai Lang laughed again.
Hao Yansen almost couldn’t contain his smile; he thought Mo Jun was just too kind-hearted to be cruel.
Struggling to hold back his laughter, he softly said to her, “Alright, you wait outside for us. I’ll get the confession out of him.”
He didn’t want her to witness the overly cruel and bloody scene.
But Mo Jun shook her head, “No need, he will confess this time.”
Hao Yansen couldn’t hold back his laughter anymore, “Are you sure?”
“Hahaha…” Bai Lang’s laughter became even more demonic, and Lin Feng and the others continued to laugh heartily.
Hey, stop laughing!
The armed personnel and the captives from the Heavenly Sect were shouting in their hearts: Can’t you see we’re dying here?!
“Hahaha…” But Bai Lang and the others were still laughing heartlessly.
What should have been a massacre had turned into a comedy scene; the sheer rapid shift in tone was something hard to stomach.
But Chu Zhongtian wasn’t laughing…
Because he was so hungry, oh so hungry.
Why was he getting hungrier and hungrier?
At first, Chu Zhongtian was able to hold out, but soon he couldn’t take the hunger anymore.
He felt as if he hadn’t eaten or drunk for days, in unbearable discomfort.
That feeling of hunger could drive a person insane.
Yet, he still kept his wits about him, still stubbornly held on, though he was nearing his limit. The others also noticed that something was off with him.
“Wow, it actually works!” Yun Long excitedly shouted, “Look at him, he must be starving to death. Yes, I’ll go look for something.”
Muttering to himself, he dashed out, leaving the others utterly baffled.
Soon, Yun Long returned, and during his absence, Chu Zhongtian’s hunger had grown even worse.
He curled up on the ground, clutching his stomach tightly, breathing heavily in weakness, the rumbles in his abdomen making his eyes glint blue, and he began to plead unconsciously, “Water, give me water… food, food…”
Not sure if he was hallucinating, he suddenly smelled food, such a delicious scent.
Then, the next second, he saw a long loaf of bread dangling above his head along with a bottle of water.
“Want to eat? If you want to eat, tell the truth. Where is the kid?” Yun Long, who had brought the food and water, was teasing him maliciously.
Sure enough, in the next second, Chu Zhongtian’s eyes lit up, just like a stray dog that had seen a bone…
