Chapter 127: Jacqueline monroe
The sands were rapidly sinking beneath Kyle's feet, and that's when he knew where the second worm was. He'd been solely focused on distracting the first worm, and rescuing this naked woman. He wasn't paying much attention to the second worm, which was just a few meters from them.
Thinking of what to do, Kyle knew he couldn't dodge or avoid as the area of the worm's mouth was wide, about the size of standard pool for 40. And he could already see the first rows of the worm's teeth, sticking out from the sand.
'There's no other way.' Using his strength, he threw the woman away to a safe distance far from both the worm's.
'If this doesn't work then am dead for sure.' Kyle muttered, as he was swallowed completely by the blue desert worm which shot upwards with force, chucking huge piles of sand everywhere creating a huge ant-like sand hole.
'Slash! slash! slash!' Just when all hope seemed lost, three blue slash marks were made just at the top of the worm's head. A figure could be seen shooting out from the spot, crashing to the ground.
"Ha.. ha.. that was fun." Kyle chuckled panting a bit, the frozen ice dragon katana unsheathed and held tightly in his hand. The sword was pulsing a more bright blue color, than before.
'Screech!'
The worm let out a murderous screech, sending rings of soundwaves at Kyle. Scoffing, Kyle was unfazed by this as he simply charged through the attack in a flash, leaping a bit and delivering a swift arc slash to the beast side.
'Damn.. am really faster than before. so this is the power of a legendary tier equipment, Incredible!' Kyle grinned, staring at the sword with a proud smile. He was lucky Darwin had refined the katana, as he knew it would be essential in this mission.
'Seriously, sometimes I fear myself.' Kyle chuckled slightly shaking his head. Normally from the previous novels he'd read, the mc usually started with crap equipments, then climbed their way up to the good stuff. Undergoing different challenges and life threatening tasks, just to grow stronger and risk to rise up the ranks. But luckily for him, he'd stumbled upon a legendary tier item the moment he got here.
'Screech!!' The worm screeched again, shooting out the devastating soundwave rings. Gripping the katana tightly, Kyle blurred from his spot appearing in front of the creature. Using the katana he didn't hold back, slashing away below at the sides of the blue desert worm, chucking off some of the creature's skin.
'Screech!'
The worm let out a pained screech, attempting to descend back to the sand away from Kyle.
'Oh no you don't.' Running upwards along the beast hard skin, Kyle aimed for it's left side where the heart was planning to finish this worm fast.
"You're not so tough now bastard!" Kyle grinned evily, not hesitating as he made a deep slash. This worm's skin was a bit harder than he remembered, but it wasn't a match for his legendary tier katana. As it cut through it with ease, inching much deeper to it's skin.
'Where's the heart?' Kyle was sure this was the exact spot the worm's heart was meant to be, but he couldn't sense it's heart anywhere here.
"Screech!" The worm screeched, plunging it's head down fast to the sand. Gritting his teeth, Kyle dug the katana into the worm's skin going for a ride.
'Damn this fucking worm.' Kyle inwardly cursed, hanging on the body of the blue desert worm. The hot scorching sands splashing against his skin, depleting his hp rapidly.

He'd lost a considerable amount of hp in just some few seconds, as he could sense the worm going more deeper underground. Activating dark flames, he tried doing the same as when he fought the basic desert worm.
'It's not working.' Kyle frowned, seeing this worm's resistance was clearly higher than the basic desert worms. The dark flames were slowly eating away at the Worm's skin, but at a snail's pace.
'I shouldn't dwell on dark flames because of it's exterior.' Kyle thought, diverting to his legendary tier ice dragon katana. Gritting his teeth, he struggled to use both his hands to plunge the katana much deeper to the worm's skin, earning an annoyed screech from the creature.
"That's right bastard, an eye for an eye." Kyle smirked, adding dark flames round the spot where the katana was. He didn't stop firing jetskis of dark flames to the worm, further enraging it.
'Screech!' The worm let out a screech changing it's course, as it raised it's head up going upwards. Hanging on, Kyle gripped the katana tightly sensing the worm heading up.
He'd planned to irritate the worm so it would shake him off, just like he did with the basic desert worm. but he wasn't too confident it would work, as this one had a much higher resistance to his flames.
'Wait.. what's that?' Kyle wondered, seeing something below amidst the darkness. Looking closer, he could clearly see the second blue desert worm approaching upwards. But that wasn't what caught his attention, no! It was the fact that he could clearly see both worm's lower halves, were joined together.
'So it's true.. they're really two beasts in one.' Kyle thought staring downwards. At first he'd thought the system malfunctioned, as it wasn't the first time. but now witnessing it with both his eyes, he was proven wrong.
'But if they're the same then where the hell is the heart? Do they both share a heart, or individually have one in a different part of their bodies.' Kyle pondered. he could vividly hear a heart beating underneath the sand, belonging to the two headed desert worm. But what was nerve-wracking, was the fact he didn't know if they both shared a heart or had one each.
'Boom!'
His thoughts were cut short as the blue desert worm ascended with a bang, sending him rolling to the sand away from it. Not loosing guard Kyle immediately got up. running away from his current spot, as the second conjoined worm emerged from the sand.
'Screech!' They both let out powerful screeches, sending rings of sound waves at Kyle. Gritting his teeth, Kyle braced himself for impact as the waves hit him.

He lost grip on the frozen katana the moment the worm plunged out the sand, as it was still stuck on it. Unequipped with the buffs he received from the katana, he wasn't immune from the worm's piercing screeches like before.
'A-at this rate I might die for sure.' Kyle thought, going down on his feet covering his ears. Blood flowed out from his ears, nostrils and eyes, as he suffered first hand how it felt to be exposed to high frequency soundwaves.
"W-what happened~" The naked lady muttered clutching her head. Looking round she could see she was still in the desert, and it wasn't long before she heard the terrifying screeches.
"Those fucking worms!" She shouted in anger, the past events assaulting her head. Getting up, she walked towards the terrifying screeches and that's when she saw it.
"H-he's in trouble?" She was a bit confused seeing Kyle in trouble, as she could clearly tell he was strong.
'Judging from the crest on the clothes, he wore he must be from Lumia kingdom. And he's definitely one of those royal space guards.' She thought staring at him. The way he moved and his confidence, made her believe he could easily finish off the worm's.
"Tsk.. idiot! Stop trying to be a hero and risk your pathetic life." She scoffed in disdain clicking her tongue. Looking round, she saw the blasters Kyle used laying on the sand some meters from her.
"Hehe.. now this will definitely be worth a fortune." She slyly grinned, picking up the beam blasters examining it.
"Like I thought, he's probably one of those cocky deepshit royal guards." Shaking her head with a smile, she strapped the gun to her back turning round and walking away.
"Arghhh!!!" Kyle screamed more in pain, still exposed to the creature's sound piercing screeches. Some part of his clothes had been torn away, while some merged with his skin and blood. He was bleeding from head to toe, as his skin was gradually going pale from the continuous blood loss.
"Damn it! Why am I feeling guilty for him?" She frowned stopping in her tracks. She didn't feel any romantic way towards Kyle, infact she was outright stealing from him but for some reason she felt guilty.
'It's not my problem if he dies afterall.. I clearly told him I didn't need his help, so it's not my fault.' She tried to reassure herself, forcing her legs to move.
"Remember who you are Jacqueline monroe.. you'll always be my little girl." A soft feminine voice echoed in Jacqueline's head. Her body was trembling a bit, with her hands struggling to stay still from all the shaking.
"M-momma.." she softly whispered, tears swelling in her eyes as she fought the urge not to cry. Images of her past, flashed before her eyes in the speed of light.
Clenching her fists tightly, a crazed smile formed on her already demented face. Anger surged in her veins, charged by adrenaline to murder this beast for personal reasons.

'Damn it! I didn't think I was going to go out this way. Killed by a fucking worm..' Kyle barely smiled, seeing his hp decreasing with each blast from the creature's.
"Don't forget about me bastards!" Just when all hope seemed lost, he heard a voice he recognized. followed by the double lines of purple energy blasts, hitting the worm at the right.
